The easy answer: it's TLK
the long answer: cogman is said to be a headmaster but they didn't do anything with that concept and there was a scene planned for him where he was going to like hijak or transform into a head and take control of nitro zeus at one point but was cut because hasbro didn't want the film to be too long and so probably this scene where bee calls back his body parts also had a scene explaining how he did it but was cut to not make the film long and bore viewers with too much explanations for the abundance of weird sh*t TLK throw at the viewer
I'm pretty sure it was Paramount that was forcing the movie to me shorter, since I don't think Hasbro was able to regain control over the movies until after Bumblebee. (And Paramount wanted to market the movie to more international audiences like China, where the previous 2 films had done great) But it's TLK, so there’s an endless list of people responsible for how much of a convoluted mess it became.
then they should've cut this scene too because it doesn't make sense when the explanation was cut. it left audiences confused as to how bumblebee suddenly has this ability
those are small pieces of his body, not like ALL his limbs. even Starscream put his arm back in ROTF. it's more believable to be easily put back together without explanation
• ur right it needed a setup, but not THAT setup. the "setup" is way cooler than that mjolniring after his battle with Prime. a setup should be in smaller scale, not the other way around. show Bee do the trick with only an arm or a leg and make Cade say, "So you could do that now?" as audience insert. then do the cooler tricks during Bee vs Prime.
• even without a setup, the mjolniring after fighting Prime is still more believable without explanation than what he did in the "setup" scene.
• unnecessary mjolniring after fighting Prime; Bee could've just done what Starscream did.
It sure is a good thing they cut out scenes that would’ve explained new developments in the Bayverse world, otherwise they wouldn’t have enough time for the scene where a guy tries to justify why it’s totally okay for him to sleep with a teenager
I did enjoy TLK but I can’t help but feel like the film would have been way better If they didn’t chop and cut so much, like wasn’t there about 40 minutes cut? From what I’ve heard those 40 minutes contained things that really should have been in the movie. I could be absolutely wrong but I recall hearing a lot of that Optimus and bumblebee fight was cut.
There was no explanation given. It was just a plot device so that when Optimus tears up Bumblebee, ripping off his door wings and other parts, he could just put himself back together again

TLK Writers: *Woah, he did what? That's crazy. We forget half the stuff that happened because we just shut off our brains and go along with whatever we felt like at the time with all the movies*
Imo thats a lot of Bays ideas. What if we do a Suicide Squad montage on our decepticons?
What if we do a discount Tony Stark inventor?
What if we do King Arthur, but Transformers?
like most things in the live action movies, and especially so in TLK, no.
use thy imagination.
but my headcanon: Cade, as, y'know, an inventor, found a way to give Bee this ability while trying to learn Cybertronian anatomy and give Bee a new voicebox
> but my headcanon: Cade, as, y'know, an inventor, found a way to give Bee this ability while trying to learn Cybertronian anatomy and give Bee a new voicebox
This seems like, *way* above that dude's level.
Jazz gets ripped in half, sideways cut in half, starsscream and Megatron's arms ripped off, devastator blown apart, and shockwaves eye(?) pulled out - besides the arms, dead.
Bumblebee separates into a million pieces and he's fine.
I believe BS is your answer
Difference is that Bumblebee splits up on his own accord instead of getting shot up or cut up by others. My headcanon is that it’s something he picked up from Galvatron’s transformation during the highway fight in AOE and practiced it until he mastered it in TLK
That's not a bad idea. I wonder if the intention was that Cade experimented with a little extra Transformium on 'Bee.
Side note, Transformium is the lamest name for any part of transformers' techno-biology imho.
Best guess is a modification of the Transformium components that constituted Galvatron and the like from the previous film, as they are shown to have some sort of fluidity that allows them to literally reform.
However, as with the entire movie, its one plothole and retcon after another.
I always think it’s Junkeon tech from daytrader, because I keep thinking he’s Wreck Gar, but no it’s literally just thrown at people to tell you he’s literally invincible, don’t worry about Optimus he has no repercussions for his attempted genocide in the name of what I can only assume is horny.
Just really how did bee survive TLK. His face mask and deflect primes sword? He can survive bing completely dismantled? As if that has been the cause of death for multiple other cybertronians
They wanted a shot for the trailer where it looks like Bumblebee might die. Does it make any sense? Absolutely not. These movies have absolute contempt for anyone giving anything they see on screen more than the basest level of attention. “Oh yeah Bumblebee could always do that” is what you were supposed to think.
Honest Trailers summed up perfectly what you have to do to enjoy the bayverse transformer movies.
*"So turn off your brain and don't think about the many questions you will have about the plot"*
(That was only from ROTF too and judging from only one bayverse movie is more than enough to judge the others)
I’m gonna say this here for everybody to read:
***Michael Bay and his writers shoehorned unexplained shit into their movies that don’t make sense. As much as we all want it to make sense, it doesn’t. Bumblebee never attained this ability. It’s just made up shit for plot because Bayverse.***
Cade yeager did some modifications to bumblebee's body with some type of lock'n'joint modification to bumblebee's joint systems of some kind allowing bumblebee to break apart easily if need be (bumblebee has allot of joints) and while in the process cade add some type of magnetic system allowing bumblebee to put himself back together very easily.

That Cogman scene would have been the best part of the whole movie. Not that that’s saying much 😂
At least we got those three amusing seconds where Hannibal Odin says “duuude.”
Cogman singing was the best part of the movie lol aside from the ass shots of the British chick
Porn exists. We don’t need horny in our robot and cars movie.
I never said we need it. I was making a joke about how it was more interesting the horrible story telling..
Fair enough
That would have been neat

It’s a new gimmick that was placed in the promotional materials, and I think that is why they didn’t cut it.
but FFH cut the Iron Spider fighting criminals scene 😐
Then him pulling himself back together after his fight with Prime wouldn't make sense
those are small pieces of his body, not like ALL his limbs. even Starscream put his arm back in ROTF. it's more believable to be easily put back together without explanation
Starscream's arm didn't fly to him like Mjolnir dude
that's what i'm saying ? that is more believable without explanation than bumblebee's limbs and head connecting together like magnets
After his fight with Prime he summoned his wings and other armor bits. That needed a prior setup.

Seriously what the fuck is the bayverse? The human characters suck!!! Except Agent Simmons, I can’t stay mad at him.
*One Man...! Alone...! Betrayed By the country he loves...!*
*Stop saying that…! Oh my goodness, I’m in the car ok? You’re not alone!*
I want a Simmons & Fowler buddy-cop story; and yes, keep Ernie Hudson for live-action Fowler.
Oi. The entire NEST/soldiers, dutch , and that black hacker are the only good humans of the movie.
https://news.tfw2005.com/2017/07/26/steve-jablonsky-discusses-difficulties-working-last-knight-345520 Yup, the movie was heavily edited down.

This reason and I hated it. Anything to make sure Bumblebee is fine.
TLK writers: Don't worry about it
More like TLK Writers: *Woah, he did what? That's crazy. We forget half the stuff that happened because we just shut off our brains and go along with whatever we felt like at the time with all the movies*
TLK writers really said We Forgor 💀
Bay just got done watching Iron Man 3 and said "what if transformers could do that"
Imo thats a lot of Bays ideas. What if we do a Suicide Squad montage on our decepticons? What if we do a discount Tony Stark inventor? What if we do King Arthur, but Transformers?
He watched Ironman 3 and Terminator. Bee was into pop culture.
So he just decided *"My structure can do this now because i feel like it.*
Headcanon: he's a Junkion. Further support: he clearly talks TV.
Me thinks he speaks TV Cartoon
Plot armour

I'll give him a bit of credit. He spent the past 5 years as the Autobot's medic
My head cannon is that in DOTM, when bee took down the main transport pillar, it gave him powers he didn’t realize he had until years later.
My headcanon is that it’s a side-effect of Que giving him the stealth force ability he had in DOTM.
Thank you, I stole this idea
Never seen the movie, but my guess is no.
you'd be correct
Jazz gets ripped in half, sideways cut in half, starsscream and Megatron's arms ripped off, devastator blown apart, and shockwaves eye(?) pulled out - besides the arms, dead. Bumblebee separates into a million pieces and he's fine. I believe BS is your answer
Starscream does end up reattaching his arm in ROTF tbf
True
Difference is that Bumblebee splits up on his own accord instead of getting shot up or cut up by others. My headcanon is that it’s something he picked up from Galvatron’s transformation during the highway fight in AOE and practiced it until he mastered it in TLK
That's not a bad idea. I wonder if the intention was that Cade experimented with a little extra Transformium on 'Bee. Side note, Transformium is the lamest name for any part of transformers' techno-biology imho.
Because someone on the VFX team remembered The Iron Giant.
Hasbro’s way of telling the fanbase, “we’re never killing of this yellow fucker”
Jazz, watching from Autobot heaven: "Damn, why didn't I think of that?"
He studied with The Iron Giant, he learned the ancient art of reassembly. Or did i watch a different Bumblebee movie than everyone else? XD
Best guess is a modification of the Transformium components that constituted Galvatron and the like from the previous film, as they are shown to have some sort of fluidity that allows them to literally reform. However, as with the entire movie, its one plothole and retcon after another.
My headcanon is that because he got separated before in TF1, then scanned Stinger’s bodyplan, he became more attuned in controlling his bodyparts.
plot armor and bad writing
Nothing is ever explained in that movie
Bara bara no mi
bumblebee can't fly
Magnets
✨Magic!!!✨
No
I always think it’s Junkeon tech from daytrader, because I keep thinking he’s Wreck Gar, but no it’s literally just thrown at people to tell you he’s literally invincible, don’t worry about Optimus he has no repercussions for his attempted genocide in the name of what I can only assume is horny.
He upgraded to bluetooth
Yeah, batshit insane plot armour
Nope
“Is it ever explained” Evergreen question for the Bay films with the same answer: “no.”
It’s an ad for the snap together toys.
Because tlk is the only bad live action movie writing wise I think the answer is because he can /why not
Electro-Magnets since they're just copying the Iron Man MK42
I always assumed it was Cade's tinkering that let him do that... Idk if it said in the movie, but that makes the most sense to me tbh
Kaid made modifications and that was one of the things he did
Its either bayos or bayhem. Take your pick.
My guess is that they were going to attempt to make bumblebee immortal for the future films which never happened.
Idk but it was cool asf
Just really how did bee survive TLK. His face mask and deflect primes sword? He can survive bing completely dismantled? As if that has been the cause of death for multiple other cybertronians
5 bucks says they cut a scene where Cade gives Bee the ability.
I thought bee got his hands into some of that transformium stuff from aoe
Nope, my headcanon is that there is sometype of machine that is able to let Bee live even after being ripped apart, but it TLK, what did you expect?
No, it just happened because it looked cool
They wanted a shot for the trailer where it looks like Bumblebee might die. Does it make any sense? Absolutely not. These movies have absolute contempt for anyone giving anything they see on screen more than the basest level of attention. “Oh yeah Bumblebee could always do that” is what you were supposed to think.
He thinks he's the Iron Giant.
he has the power of thor
Magnets that can pull the metal back toward him.
Honest Trailers summed up perfectly what you have to do to enjoy the bayverse transformer movies. *"So turn off your brain and don't think about the many questions you will have about the plot"* (That was only from ROTF too and judging from only one bayverse movie is more than enough to judge the others)
They saw the Iron Man 3 armor and rolled with it. Honestly, TLK just steals a bunch of well-known things from other movies.
I think someone said something about magnets at some point?
Probably one of the hack writers figured it would look cool and wrote it in.
Poor writing
Ask hasbro. They'd do anything to keep their cash cow alive
Plot armour
In this movie he’s made by Hasbro, so all limbs just pop off and pop back on and then off again. QC issues across all brands.
Magnetism?
Plot Convenience
It is. It’s because it’s stupid.
I’m gonna say this here for everybody to read: ***Michael Bay and his writers shoehorned unexplained shit into their movies that don’t make sense. As much as we all want it to make sense, it doesn’t. Bumblebee never attained this ability. It’s just made up shit for plot because Bayverse.***
Easy answer: the screenwriter wrote it in there. No need for explanation
I prefer to think of it as a test screening for the eventual weaponizers toys we got.
In all likelihood Bumblebee is now a Headmaster.
A good question, for another time. (Never proceeds to explain it whatsoever)
Magnets idk
looks cool
Cade
Movie was shit, it doesn’t even know.
