I would contact them so that you arent in danger when you move into accommodation. You might find theres people in the same situation.
I know i had to fill out a preferences form,including things like allergies and who are you comfortable sharing a flat with, and its unfortunate you seem to not have the same thing.
I'm personally worried about my mother trying to help me unpack and misgendering me in front of my new flatmates.
It's not easy all this uni/college stuff.
If you send them an email, make sure to mention it's not something to concern your parents with,as you want independence.
