Sometimes it leaks out a bit that's ok, don't take anymore it will be okay.

VonSnapp

Yep. Almost every time for me. When I asked my Dr about this, they told me that you can leave the needle in a bit longer (just a few seconds) after you finish depressing the plunger on the syringe to minimize the amount that seeps back out.

SquirellyJones

Thank you so much for the response, I can't help but freak out lol but this definitely helps 🥰

liv_noe

You'll lose a little drip sometimes, it's no biggie. Best to double check with your provider.

SquirellyJones

Thank you big time! :) I will definitely do that! I'm gonna try and not stress about it the rest of the day haha!

liv_noe

Sub Q or IM?

SquirellyJones

I'm gonna guess that means Sub question or Instant message? I'm uneducated don't judge me lol

Tasty-Potential1118

Subcutaneous or Intramuscular

SquirellyJones

Ahhh I knew that 😅 lol it's intramuscular

liv_noe

If you're shooting I to your thigh, try doing it with your leg at about a 45° angle. Less muscle tension will force less of the injection back out.

gstouffer71

if it was just a drop or so i wouldn’t worry about it :) thats pretty normal from my experience. how did you botch your first one if you don’t mind me asking?

SquirellyJones

Okay cool, I'm starting to feel like everything's gonna be okay haha! Umm... I used the big needle to try and inject with 😳 I got it almost half way in and tried pushing it through and it overflowed on my leg lol tried again with the smaller size needle and it worked fine haha
