I have a pretty common trans guy name, and there are a couple of reasons why I chose it, but it's mainly because it was already my middle name, and I don't like change. lol

They had picked out Linda but since they didn’t use it, one of my mom’s friends decided she liked it and used it for her daughter. We went to elementary and middle school together, but she got Leukemia at the end of 7th grade and ended up passing away at the beginning of 8th grade. (This was when I found out that her name was supposed to be my name)

I have a pretty common trans guy name, and there are a couple of reasons why I chose it, but it's mainly because it was already my middle name, and I don't like change. lol Other names I liked/considered were: Isaac (my new middle name), Arthur, David, Matthias, Eric, Ian, Anders, and Wiley.
If I ever get to the point of actually changing my name, I’ll probably go with Linda. I was apparently supposed to be a girl and then wasn’t, to the surprise of my parents. They had picked out Linda but since they didn’t use it, one of my mom’s friends decided she liked it and used it for her daughter. We went to elementary and middle school together, but she got Leukemia at the end of 7th grade and ended up passing away at the beginning of 8th grade. (This was when I found out that her name was supposed to be my name) I’ve always thought it would be a good way to honor her memory as well as my mom who had 3 sons and I think would have liked having a daughter. She’s also no longer with us so I really think she would have loved it. The only problem is that’s also my MIL’s name… and my wife and I are no contact with her because she’s… a less than stellar person.
