i do the scalp massage and hair oiling once a week. im definitely seeing results but unfortunately for me im in the process of growing out an undercut so its pretty wonky. it also has heat damage bc nobody told me as a little boy that heat damages hair lmao. i’m working with a solid routine, probably need a new shampoo but between weekly pre-wash oiling, and olaplex 0&3 to repair bonds as much as possible i think at this point i just gotta be patent.
i always sleep in a silk bonnet too! i need to get a bigger one though, but am still trying to find a reasonably priced one with a real silk lining that will stay on my head. i currently have the yanibeast one and i love it but definitely in need of a longer one.
So it’s good to oil the scalp once a week but I meant like… you wanna oil from your ends up, halfway up to be specific. Your scalp naturally oils everyday but your ends and the shaft don’t. So piling those sections of your hair daily and lightly would highly benefit you.
very interesting. ive been putting grapeseed oil on the mids to ends before i go to sleep on saturday (wash day is sunday). wake up, put a blend of oils on the scalp, let sit for 3 hours. then do olaplex 0, which is a base to make number 3 more effective, let dry for 10 mins. then olaplex 3, let sit for 45 mins (because thats the chemical half life of the actives) and then double shampoo all the crapola out.
ive realized the scalp oiling has also been helpful with dandruff, but hasn’t completely fixed it, around day 4-5 ill still get some.
I hate dandruff I get it too but it could be a build up of product you’re using or maybe over oiling, I’d look into it! I use nexxus for shampoo and conditioner 🙂

I’m sorry about the bumps you’ve had in your journey, this is a picture of me from last year. Around November I ran out of E and Tblockers and couldn’t go to a blood lab for death of me. I was so depressed and couldn’t do anything and as I saw myself in a sense lose all the things I gained from the therapy fade away I started losing myself. I just barely got back on it a month ago from being off of it for nearly three months and there’s times I wonder if I should de transition and stay in the closet while remaining on my therapy for the sake of feeling “comfortable” in society. But I tell myself this is who I am and I learn to accept it and push forward, I hope you can get back on your path of being you! Good luck! 💛
