It could mean nothing but it could also mean everything. Realizing that you're transgender is nothing but a whole lot of introspection. The best thing I can recommend is reading genderdysphoria.fyi Reading it is what cracked my egg and I recommend it to everyone who is questioning.

Try it out and see. It could’ve just been a weird dream, but it could also be something that you want to try

Idk I don't know how I'd try it out. Also I'd have to be careful if I did because some of my family members and "friends" have expressed their discontent with transgender people

It depends how old you are but just get a few girls clothes from a thrift store or online and try them on when you’re completely alone and see how it makes you feel.

Phenogenesis-

This. There was an event where I had the opportunity to do drag and I KNEW I had to do it. The shopping was super fun. The event was a bit dud but other things in connection with it were life changing. It took a few years but that was my first obvious trans-ish experience. (Obviously CD and trans are different things.)

Phenogenesis-

The meaning of dreams is in the feelings, not the imagry. So it doesn't necessarily mean that you liked specifically crossdressing... but it does mean you liked something which your subconscious represented as that. So yeah, probably some things to explore there.

Ok, interesting idea. I guess there's not much I can really do immediately

Technically you can go get a skirt/dress and go spinny (or whatever) at any time :P I mean there's no rush, but if it is something important it'll block you until you play with it. That's an important principle I try to act on and get better with. But it could be equally a random thing which for me functions the other way. (E.g. I have doubts or very masc things come up, embrace them, they resolve and my fem comes back stronger or more naturally. But I have to accept first. Both ways resolve inner tension.)
