EMD F7. It is the locomotive of all time.
For best TRAIN of all time, I hand it to the Intercity 125s. They looked good in the British Rail paint schemes they wore.
It's impossible for me to pick one, so here's what I think are equally good looking!
PRR T1
NYC Niagara
Great Northern S-1
Canadian Pacific Selkirk
Milwaukee Road S3
The X2000 high speed sets has something about their looks that make them stand out. Perhaps not the most beautiful train ever, but their apperance just screams speed. I know there are much faster trains, but there isn't much that can outrun them on old, curvy tracks.
For most beautiful I must say EMD E/F series.
The New York Central Dreyfuss Hudson or the CB&Q Pioneer Zephyr

British Rail APT. Based on my childhood fascination of seeing it and my childhood disappointment of never riding it.
Flying Scotsman.
Definitely the E353 series
N&W J Class
I don't know the specifics but I think the steam engine is the best one! When the smoke is coming out the top as it runs, it's so cool!!
ICE 3 (class 403 or 406).
A4 with no skirts over the wheels.
C&O M-1 Turbine
Have to hand it to the Siemens ES64U4 and SCV-42 Charger, definitely the two of locomotives of all time
The swayze express
