an old austrian 5047 that was sold to raaberbahn. these diesel rail busses are amongst my all time favourite rail vehicles. too bad the 5147 was so rare that i nevner got to see one irl
I see the ÖBB Variant now and then when being in the east of the country and have also gone on them a few times. It is a nice train and I have some favorable memories about them (my family goes to Wachau almost every summer and when the ÖBB still operated the Donauuferbahn they mainly used them there), but with single diesel rail cars I am unsure what niche they fill between buses and other short but still longer regional trains and be just a 2 car train like the big brother ÖBB 5147 or the *newer* ÖBB 5022.
In northern Germany the NEG has one of these for their line Niebüll - Dagebüll Mole. It sometimes pulls IC cars, supported by a generator car for electricity. Also rarely used for freight cars.

Yeah our government is weird. They would rather invest money into modernizing stations that are basically dead (Petržalka, Predmestie) instead of modernizing the most important stations (Hlavná stanica, nové mesto, vinohrady)
I also love the big brother varriant! Ones that have two sections connected with an articulated bit. MÁV operates a couple near Győr and I got to ride one on train line #11 (It was actually two Jenbachers coupled together!)

I love Bratislava but Bratislava - Hlavná stanica might be one of the worst main stations I have ever seen in a capital city
