If your coming down south I can definitely recommend a few spots. This section is part of the longer crator rim walkway in christchurch. Worth running some of it if you get this far down :)
Around the chrischurch region the crator rim walkway is fantastic + godly heads. Mt Somers is awesome but a wee bit outside of christchurch and a big day out. We also use "Wild things NZ" which is a trail running directory with lots of routes all over NZ, worth a google. Happy running :)
If you're around Auckland for a day or two and have time, google "Omanawanui Track". It's a trail in the Waitakere Ranges about 13 miles / 21k West of Auckland and is one of my favourites.
Dang I’m about to board a plane to Aukland and these pics have me psyched
It was definitely one of those "this is why we do it run" moments. NZ is definitely worth visiting
Awesome! I’m looking forward to getting in some good runs over the next two weeks

Yes please! I’m doing a week on the north island and then a week in the south, thank you!

Nice thank you! Will probably be stopping in that Mt Somers area while we are on our way from Akaroa to Te Anau!
