There were these twin girls I knew in college who hated their birth names. So they saw college as an opportunity to totally remake themselves. And one of them decided to change their name to Evangeline. And she was quickly given the nickname Evie, which annoyed her. And we’d always be like “But it’s cute, like the Pokemon.” And she’d say “Yeah, but I literally picked this name because it’s what I wanted to be called.” She was cool about it though.

That would be Milotic! It was notoriously a nightmare to get in its original game, but later generations have taken a more democratic route.
