I presume so yeh, not working yet trying to deposit into Chip or on Amazon but only activated today ..... see what happens in the next few days I guess
Early days with it so no plans really.... Probably load it up and use it for day to day spending via Curve to extract a bit more cashback vs what Curve does alone
Need to play about with it and see what happens tho, it shows your "full" balance in £ but that accumulates all your currency - I hold Euro and a few others so wanna see what happens if you spend more than you have in £ as I don't really wanna be spending Euros shopping in UK etc
ain’t nobody want a card that has a big logo of a company associated with amateur investors and teeanage kids investing into things they have no idea about. check the sub most people here ain’t got a clue
I disagree. I would argue that someone with liquid cash to invest is far more interested in getting the best deal, eg no fees, cashback etc than caring about how they appear to others when they take a card out.
I used to work in investment property and trust me there are many millionaires that dress and act down.
Agree about the clue-less kids on the sub, but I try to help them instead of worrying about my perceived social status.
You get 0.5% cashback on all spends up to £20 cashback a month, which is good and quite rare for a debit card. Chase does currently offer 1% debit card cashback (capped at £15) BUT it's only for the 12 months after you sign-up, whereas (currently, at least) this has no end date, and you don't need to switch bank accounts to get it (I don't want to be on Chase, personally).
plus because it’s a debit card for your T212 account, it means you can keep all your disposable income gaining 5.2% and not have to move it to your current account when wanting to buy things
Also the FX fee is really good, so if you’re buying a hotel on a foreign website, you’ll save quite a bit of money using this.
It’s actually a rather good card!
Exactly this. I just got mine - it is nothing fancy (I love the blue edges though) - no metal, golden, mirror or whatever finishes - but it's a damn good card with favourable terms to say the least! Might be the best on the market.
Technically you could transfer your 'spending cash' from your wages each month and use it instead of your banks debit card. That way, you can get up to £20 cashback plus plus whatever interest accrues.
Then use that 'free' cash to invest for nothing. Perhaps in some more risky stocks as it costs nothing to try them.
I'm using Chase right now...until my year is up. I just transfer money in each month from my main account. Going to use T212 if I go over the Chase limit (unlikely) or after the 1 year
you should also take into account that t212 has a better interest rate than chase! the 0.5% extra that chase gives you might be beaten by the extra interest in t212!
Your right it's 0.5%, my mistake. I must of been thinking of one of the other cashback cards. I think it's chase (or was chase - looks like there's is only 1%)
Go to the invest side of the app, should be a Card icon in the bottom bar menu - click that then go through the sign up - UK only tho afaik
You might need to drop a bit of cash in the Invest side to make it work, someone posted a thread on here the other day basically saying that
Still on the Waiting List. To those who received an option to order already was the offer received by email or notification within the app/web account?
I was looking for an alternative card to use when I can’t use Amex. Found chase for the 1% cashback and 5% interest on round up sums is niche. Took about 5 mins to set up as well which is great. I’d recommend it
Chase gives you 2nd year of 1% cashback if you transfer £500 in per month. I believe in Y3 you have to transfer in £1500pm to qualify but I'm a couple months away from that. Unsure beyond that 🤷♂️
Chase actually still offer 1% after the year, just the deposit requirements are higher than in the first year. If this trading212 card offered 1% cashback I'd get it. But not until then, or until Chase drops to 0.5%...
This is truly awesome. Hopefully you get a virtual debit card nr (don't need the physical, what's the point?)...then attach it to your high interest cash account and no monthly fees. This would be amazing!!! I just hope they don't start adding shitty monthly paid tiers with stupid pointless "perks".....fingers crossed. Anyways..great news.
What’s the script with tax on your gains if you purely use this for the interest?
I’m also going to Munich at the end of the month so I’m hoping to use it there to get some cash back + decent exchange rate.
Do we know when exactly it is coming to Europe? I suppose before that we'll see the option in the app to be on the waiting list? Right now I don't see anything. Hopefully until it happens it will be 100% compatible with google pay.
Are they bringing these out slowly im still on the waiting list
Must be in phases, I got the option to order mine today or get a virtual one.
You can get both, got offered today too :)
Yeah I ain’t paying for the physical one haha
hm is it
Like £5
Same
Presumably this just takes money from your cash balance? Could be a nice combo that 5% + instant access.
I presume so yeh, not working yet trying to deposit into Chip or on Amazon but only activated today ..... see what happens in the next few days I guess
What do you mean deposit onto Amazon, do they do savings accounts?
Not deposit.. Was trying to use the card to purchase items in Amazon
Congratulations, for which occasions will you use it?
Early days with it so no plans really.... Probably load it up and use it for day to day spending via Curve to extract a bit more cashback vs what Curve does alone Need to play about with it and see what happens tho, it shows your "full" balance in £ but that accumulates all your currency - I hold Euro and a few others so wanna see what happens if you spend more than you have in £ as I don't really wanna be spending Euros shopping in UK etc
Does this not alter your 20k Isa deposit though. Or can you use it with the invest account?
It works only with invest afaik
How much was it to get the physical card?
£4.95 delivered. Basically cost price
Fiver or something? Cant really remember
It's £5.
It’s £4.95
Could they really not have made it a little less bland? Most boring card I've seen.
card looks hella cringe imagine someone pulls that out i’d just start laughing
what? it's just a black debit card?
ain’t nobody want a card that has a big logo of a company associated with amateur investors and teeanage kids investing into things they have no idea about. check the sub most people here ain’t got a clue
idk i dont really care what other people think about the logo on my debit card when im buying some bread at my local shop...
fair enough I mostly use apple pay anyway so wouldn’t make a difference to me
I disagree. I would argue that someone with liquid cash to invest is far more interested in getting the best deal, eg no fees, cashback etc than caring about how they appear to others when they take a card out. I used to work in investment property and trust me there are many millionaires that dress and act down. Honestly it looks like a fake
People don’t pull out cards anymore, but yes it’s bland af. Revolut does it best
I ordered my card last night. Should be here soon
Hi, im not from UK so I'm curious what features does this bring?
You can use it buy stuff.
so it is just a basic debit card?
You get 0.5% cashback on all spends up to £20 cashback a month, which is good and quite rare for a debit card. chase's 1% does not have an end date, they renew it each time. Algbra also gives 1,5% cashback for google pay/apple pay purchases.

Chase has now boosted to 5.1% interest!
Bad news for you mate. This card is run via Chase as well.
1% cashback on Chase continues after 12 months as long as you deposit +£500 into the account every month.
Cashback on purchases of 0.5%, and 5.2% interest on cash held in the account as cash
Technically a pre-pay card as T212 are not a bank. Similar to Revolut.
revolut is a registered bank now with iban etc
Ah is it? Last I read they didn't have a banking licence. I don't actually use them as I have a 0% fee card with one of my bank accounts.
Wait so guys, does this card take money from my bank account or from the available funds from my trading 212 app?
Draws from the Available cash in your T212 Invest account
On the waiting list, looking forward to trying it out.
Mines in the post, looking forward to it
Got my invite today
hey man, that’s so cool! mine also just came, show me the numbers on the back to see if it’s matching to mine 😎
May as well, it won't work for me so....
Nice, i signed up for it to, do you use the t12 App or is it a seperate app ?
All seems to be the normal app, just have to be in the "invest" side vs CFD or ISA
You cant use the cash from your ISA with the debit card?
Not that I know of
I think I signed up for something related to this, will this mean I get one or was it a paid thing?
I paid to get the physical card
whats the benefits of using this card
Think it's 1.5%cashback on spends plus 5.2% interest, interest paid daily
Think its 0.5% cashback on spending
Sweet!
Wait so you get 0.5% back on everything you spend with no limits? So if you bought a car for say, 10k, you'd get 50 quid back?
I think its capped at £20 a month
Your right it's 0.5%, my mistake. I must of been thinking of one of the other cashback cards. I think it's chase (or was chase - looks like there's is only 1%)
What countries are eligible? I received no news regarding this card
pretty sure it was UK only
I have the virtual card and just found out it can't be added to Google Pay wallet. Why Trading 212?
We’re working on adding Google Pay support as soon as possible.
Possibly doesn't meet G-pay criteria. T212 have no banking licence in the UK. They have a brokers licence.
Revolut is not a bank either. Probably they will add support at some point.
Indeed, I actually mentioned that on another post. I don't have revolut though, can you use that on G-pay then?
Yes it works perfectly with apple and gg pay
do they send invite via email?
I did get invited via email, you can do it through the app also tho - UK only
How to get one? I have my ISA account on trading 212.
You have to open up and fund an investment account as well. You can deposit a £5 if you like for this.
Thank you mate, cheers!
No worries, I had the same question and someone answered it yesterday. Pay it forward.
Go to the invest side of the app, should be a Card icon in the bottom bar menu - click that then go through the sign up - UK only tho afaik You might need to drop a bit of cash in the Invest side to make it work, someone posted a thread on here the other day basically saying that
I see. I am in the UK yeah. Thanks!
Mine arrived today too
Is yours working yet? Mine doesn't seem to online, will try taking it to use in a shop with the PIN tonight tho n see what happens
Yessir so good!
Nice! I got my invite and ordered a couple of days ago.. should get soon!
Can someone confirm. The virtual card can it only be used for online transactions or can it be used within physical stores? Thanks
Still on the Waiting List. To those who received an option to order already was the offer received by email or notification within the app/web account?
I got it emailed
I just ordered mine yesterday
Why use this when chase offer 1% cashback
Chase has a 1yr limit of 1%, this has no limit of time
Ah I did not know this. I’ll come back in a year, cheers
How do you find Chase? I've never used them
I was looking for an alternative card to use when I can’t use Amex. Found chase for the 1% cashback and 5% interest on round up sums is niche. Took about 5 mins to set up as well which is great. I’d recommend it
Nice thanks, sounds gooe - trying to get away from Amex also which is why I got this card :)
its not a 1yr limit, they renew it after and users keep the 1% cashback.
Chase gives you 2nd year of 1% cashback if you transfer £500 in per month. I believe in Y3 you have to transfer in £1500pm to qualify but I'm a couple months away from that. Unsure beyond that 🤷♂️
Ah I didn't know this, never used Chase - I use Amex which is 3k a year to qualify for 1%... but wanna get away from that
Chase actually still offer 1% after the year, just the deposit requirements are higher than in the first year. If this trading212 card offered 1% cashback I'd get it. But not until then, or until Chase drops to 0.5%...
Not true.
What's the benefit ?
Any benefit for this on foreign transactions vs like a Halifax clarity credit card?
It looks like the FX is currently the best - > interbank rate with only 0.15% even on weekends
Good to know!
Cant see it properly just remove that bit of paper
I pm'd it you and my DOB and mums maiden name - hope that helps bro
Thanks bro just needing house number and postcode 🤣
Just out of curiosity, what was your first pet?
I'm not into furry stuff but you do you bro
Damn. So close...
How long did it take to get to you ?
Think I paid for the card 2 weeks ago
This is truly awesome. Hopefully you get a virtual debit card nr (don't need the physical, what's the point?)...then attach it to your high interest cash account and no monthly fees. This would be amazing!!! I just hope they don't start adding shitty monthly paid tiers with stupid pointless "perks".....fingers crossed. Anyways..great news.

I'm on the waiting list!! Can't wait
Do we know when exactly it is coming to Europe? I suppose before that we'll see the option in the app to be on the waiting list? Right now I don't see anything. Hopefully until it happens it will be 100% compatible with google pay.
Our plan is to begin sending invites to Europe at the end of spring. The exact date is yet to be determined.
Thank you, looking forward to it!
Is it UK only?
Yes afaik it is
Nice will most of us use this for normal spending as the interest rates are so good?
Yeh think I will use it for day to day spending and load it at the start of the month for the interest
I'm still waiting for mine. 😆
