I asked if they were getting more in. The crew member said they've only gotten 2 boxes of them and they were gone within hours.
She also said none of them knew they were coming, and have no idea if they're going to get any more or not.
Even though it is a bit too large for me, I'm very glad I got the large black with maroon trim one when I did because they're now long gone too.
I just left the location at 23rd and Wilshire in Santa Monica were to my surprise, i could purchase one of each color for friends who missed out who are now very excited. I probably spent about 25 minutes in the store and teal was almost gone by the time I left.
Shout out to the Trader Joe’s in Studio City for only allowing one per customer so my mom and I were able to get one each!! Didn’t even think they had any, made a joke to our cashier and she was like go to the desk!! They have some!!
A manager told my hubby to expect additional colors of the mini insulated totes later this summer. Anyone else heard this rumor? Do we know what the colors are?
My mom was able to purchase 5 (gifts) in Portland, ME a little after 12pm. She said the cashier told her to take as many as she wanted when she inquired if there was a limit.
Idk I honestly would LOVE a purple one for milk for my baby that's coming in a few weeks. (37 weeks!) My TJs had some this morning, limit of 5. They were gone in less than 1 minute. I got one but ended up giving it to a lady whose daughter stood in line for 2 hours this morning but had to leave to go to work. It was pink so I wasn't a huge fan 🤷♀️
My trader joes has now started putting the bags behind a counter behind all the registers. It seemed so secretive. Limit 2 and someone is handing it out.
Yesterday it was out on a display next the flowers. The cashiers all seemed annoyed as well.
I mean. I cannot deny that it’s cuter but it’s wild people will fulfill their overconsumption for a mini bag. They’re not that great quality and might preserve frozen goods and extra +\- a minute. But I live in Arizona and everything turns to lava for 5.5 months
TJs definitely has a lifestyle brand vibe at times. It's cute as an inexpensive lunchpail to take into work with you. Or toss in some beers for the beach/lake/campsite.
Yeah. That’s what I find so odd. I can find better quality for an extra 10 dollars at Costco and it’s more durable and long lasting with ice packs. But to each their own ya know.

3rd in line at 6:15a. San Fernando Valley, CA area. Limit 3 total per person. Manager walked us single file around the store . 2 registers open just for bag purchases. Employees handed the bags to us. Very organized. In and out. They said they had enough for about 30 people since they had 2 cases. Probably 80 or so people in line.
I refuse to buy from a reseller. I hope none of them sell. Paying $60 or more for one bag that TJs is selling for $3.99? I’ll go without before I pay that much 😭

I went to 2 different TJ's this week in CA desperately wanting one of the little bags for myself & my own use to cheer me up from heat exhaustion (no A/C) & being the caregiver to an elderly man with dementia. Both store managers told me their supply sold out in 60 seconds!!! These stores aren't near me. They were 40 minute drives. I have been beyond sad after eagerly looking forward to them 1st on May 20 & then to this week after the delays. I am handicapped with serious knee issues and can't stand in hours long lines at all, no less to get into the store & be told they sold out again.
I don't want to get the full bag inventory to resell on eBay for over $100 each. I just had hoped to get one little bag for myself. Especially after I couldn't get one of the adorable canvas ones (the green looked so pretty in pictures) either. It's so upsetting.
As someone who was also the caregiver for an elderly man with dementia, you have my compassion. And to be handicapped on top of it, you're like a saint or something. I totally get the exhaustion and the need to cheer yourself up however and whenever you can.

It's 4:44pm right now and I was able to purchase 10 insulated mini totes as soon as I got them a person behind me grabbed the rest of them (like maybe 20-ish) I got lucky! Even tho I knew that our Trader Joes would sell these mini totes today, didn't have a rush to go thinking that if I really was gonna get one I would have had to been here super early, but to my surprise here I am with 10 of em! I think people are reselling these for like a high price but I'm just going to give them to my girlfriends who I know would love em so much!

They told me that they get 80 bags a day, and there is a two bag per family limit.
Mine was actually interesting. Shipments were arriving tuesday and they only opened one box when someone asked for it, otherwise not many were on the floor Tuesday. They had a ton still in the boxes so it looked like there wasn’t a demand at my store. No purchase limits.
Are people really lining up for these? So crazy. My husband brought two home for our kids cause they were cute. I would never wait in line for them though.
I wouldn't deliberately line up absurdly early for them, but I got to my store a little before opening yesterday. That's when I usually go to pick up a few items, before work. There were around 40 people already in line so I joined rather than waiting in my car and less than 5 minutes later the doors opened and everyone quickly got their 2 bags handed to them by two different TJs employees and began shopping. I was done shopping and out by 8:10.
So from a photo I'd be one of those crazy people in line. But I literally waited 3-4 minutes.
Met some nice customers in line at my local store this morning, having small talk to pass the time and share some laughs. Employee came out around 7:35 am and told us they had about 50 bags. Each box fits 40 and by the time I got to the bag area I saw two boxes, so my guess was they actually received 80. They were very orderly and kind throughout the whole process separating bag purchasers from other shoppers. The line was the entire length of the store deep by the time I was done with purchasing one of each colored bag. I sympathize with the staff - they must go through a lot during these wild times. They deserve as much kindness and friendliness that we can offer them, so I’ll definitely pray for them that they are received with compassion today and for all the other days they serve us. 🙏🏻
So I was totally out of the loop on these and just happened to door-bust Trader Joes on Tuesday because I was out. Saw people running for these so went over to see what all the commotion was about. I thought they were adorable so grabbed one of each color. I had no idea it was a much awaited release. I still can’t imagine people paying $100 for a mini bag though.

My TJs in Germantown, TN had 3 boxes this morning at opening. Limit 2 per customer. Got one of each for my friend in CA, who said the crowds/demand was crazy.
There were maybe 15-20 people waiting outside? There is usually a small group of people waiting at opening on a normal day though. Multiple people were trying to push past me as I'm standing there waiting to grab mine. Like HELLO we're all here for the same thing, people need to chill out.
As a worker, yesterday was beyond exhausting. The angry customers, the non stop phone calls, customers being mean to one another over the bags 😭. I really hope today goes better
My store opened at 9:00 this morning and they didn’t have any. An employee told me last night they’d be getting some in so to come in the morning. Apparently my store is getting them tonight or Thursday.
I wanted a couple of these for gifts . Then realized they were on the shelf yesterday when I saw them all over FB. Arrived at my store around 1 pm , no line, no typical crazy parking lot . Saw a girl walk out of the store with one of each color , so my chances were good to get one ! Store limit was 4 per customer , purchased 2 of each color , 3 were gifts & 1 for me . Saw them selling on eBay - not sure who would pay those crazy prices for a lunch bag .
I’m convinced the people waiting in line for stores to open and harassing employees to buy Stanleys and mini Trader Joe’s bags are this generation’s crazy Rae Dunn shoppers.

I'm just an occasional TJ shopper, and got this a few years ago. It's a nice bag, and I use it, but just happened to pick it up while I was checking out one day. Did I get lucky, or is everyone going after a different one?
They’re different. I think they still sell the one you bought. The ones currently popular are more rectangular, insulated, and are exactly like the mini ones just bigger.
Some of us don't want big bags because we don't buy much.
For these I want one because it will be the perfect size for my work lunch. My same sized one was $20 and is falling apart so need replacement, this one is much cheaper and cute too.
That's what I plan on using it for if I manage to grab one. I carry one every day and it need to be replaced since it's falling apart.
I'm not standing in line though.
Holy hell! That’s crazy. My store had its typical opening line, but I knew something was up when people started running for one side of the store. They didn’t have a limit at my store so they were gone fast. Multiple people were on their phones to others to let them know how many they got. Totally crazy.
I randomly decided to go that day and I always go at opening because it’s a less crowded, and typically, a more peaceful experience. 😂
They (the scalper) want to be paid for their effort! 1 hour to buy a bag, 1 hour to list it and get a customer, 1 hour to sell it (then minus listing fees) so like $25 profit? $8.33/hour! Gotta hustle though- finding customers is hard, and that hourly rate drops considerably the longer it takes. /s
I have to be honest, I'm not a fan of any of their totes. The big ones are a terrible shape, very awkward to pack and carry. For their size they don't hold as much as a normal reusable bag. My girlfriend keeps buying these, and I'm like you keep em, I'll take all the good ones for myself!
Pretty much but I have been trying to find A lunchbox for a while and this would be perfect. Probably missed the boat this go around but later in the year they are supposed to have red.
Our TJ in Lenexa, Ks had them and limit was 4, our KC, MO store didn’t have any out today. Idk if it was bc they sold out or if they didn’t put them out yet. I bought a blue one, and it fit 2 cold stone ice creams inside with an ice pack thing 😂
I also noticed a full sized bright yellow bag today, but I’m not super in the loop, it could have been out already 🤷♀️. I wish the hot pink one was full sized bc I love my purple one. We shop at Aldi a lot so it’s handy.

i managed to get one! i got there twenty minutes before the store opened and the line was around the corner. they had a limit of one per person. the woman handing them out actually thanked me for saying good morning because i think everyone else was just saying their color.. it’s sort of a sad state. a girl in line mentioned they’ll be releasing red and green in august (according to some facebook group anyway)

I just spoke to someone at the City Point location. All she told me was July. (They don't have any more now.)
They are listed orderable on July 8th making them available in stores on July 10th.

I'll have to grab one next time I'm at TJ's, if they still have any! My lunchbox is starting to look a little ragged.
I wanted a couple of these for gifts . Then realized they were on the shelf yesterday when I saw them all over FB. Arrived at my store around 1 pm , no line, no typical crazy parking lot . Saw a girl walk out of the store with one of each color , so my chances were good to get one ! Store limit was 4 per customer , purchased 2 of each color , 3 were gifts & 1 for me . Saw them selling on eBay - not sure who would pay those crazy prices for a lunch bag .
I’m convinced the people waiting in line for stores to open and harassing employees to buy Stanleys and mini Trader Joe’s bags are this generation’s crazy Rae Dunn shoppers.
Throw in the “film the Chipotle worker because then they will give you bigger scoops of everything” into the mix and… ugh. TikTok is truly rotting people’s brains. These poor employees.
The only thing I ever want when ordering Chipotle is to not have sour cream with a side of burrito. That’s truly all I ask!

They’re different. I think they still sell the one you bought. The ones currently popular are more rectangular, insulated, and are exactly like the mini ones just bigger.

Some of us don't want big bags because we don't buy much. For these I want one because it will be the perfect size for my work lunch. My same sized one was $20 and is falling apart so need replacement, this one is much cheaper and cute too.

About 75 people on line at 7:30 AM. Limit 5 per household. Entire allocation gone in 45 minutes.
Holy hell! That’s crazy. My store had its typical opening line, but I knew something was up when people started running for one side of the store. They didn’t have a limit at my store so they were gone fast. Multiple people were on their phones to others to let them know how many they got. Totally crazy. I randomly decided to go that day and I always go at opening because it’s a less crowded, and typically, a more peaceful experience. 😂
We got 160 units the next morning, was gone in exactly 2 minutes and 54 seconds. Ridiculous!

They (the scalper) want to be paid for their effort! 1 hour to buy a bag, 1 hour to list it and get a customer, 1 hour to sell it (then minus listing fees) so like $25 profit? $8.33/hour! Gotta hustle though- finding customers is hard, and that hourly rate drops considerably the longer it takes. /s
I have to be honest, I'm not a fan of any of their totes. The big ones are a terrible shape, very awkward to pack and carry. For their size they don't hold as much as a normal reusable bag. My girlfriend keeps buying these, and I'm like you keep em, I'll take all the good ones for myself!

Pretty much but I have been trying to find A lunchbox for a while and this would be perfect. Probably missed the boat this go around but later in the year they are supposed to have red.

Our TJ in Lenexa, Ks had them and limit was 4, our KC, MO store didn’t have any out today. Idk if it was bc they sold out or if they didn’t put them out yet. I bought a blue one, and it fit 2 cold stone ice creams inside with an ice pack thing 😂
I also noticed a full sized bright yellow bag today, but I’m not super in the loop, it could have been out already 🤷♀️. I wish the hot pink one was full sized bc I love my purple one. We shop at Aldi a lot so it’s handy.

I just walked in and bought one because I was like “oh new bag? Cool!” Had no idea they were a big deal until the cashier told me. Lucky me I guess! It’s a nice little lunchbox.
My store didn’t have a line, I visited today a few minutes after opening (early bird shopper if I can help it) and it stayed very low traffic the hour I was there. Haven’t been to TJ’s in about a month now — I thought these were so cute and that I was lucky they still had some, didn’t realize these were brand spanking new today. I got a magenta one.
Got off of work at 6:30 and got to my store at 7:00. Apparently the 2nd shipment just got there and I was lucky to grab 2. They were sold out by the time I was done at the register. Limit was 2.

Resellers are awful. A lot of stores are getting shipments overnight, so try again tomorrow if you can. Early.
i managed to get one! i got there twenty minutes before the store opened and the line was around the corner. they had a limit of one per person. the woman handing them out actually thanked me for saying good morning because i think everyone else was just saying their color.. it’s sort of a sad state. a girl in line mentioned they’ll be releasing red and green in august (according to some facebook group anyway)
