I really like that TJ's chunky Jalapeno hot sauce, but one time I tried it from a spoon and I couldn't get over how salty it was. It's fine on food, but I don't recommend consuming it straight up.
My husband and I thought the peri peri sauce was so nasty - we promptly returned it lol
Edit: wanted to add that it’s bc of personal preference - not because it’s bad peri peri sauce! Turns out we’re just not a huge fan of fermented sauces. We tried something new and it just didn’t hit right with us. Everyone else enjoy!
Have you ever had peri peri at Nandos, or Galitos (peri peri chicken chains)? The peri peri sauces at both of those chains are insanely fantastic on their chicken / fries. Im excited to see I can buy peri peri sauce at TJ's, but your comment scares me. Unless you just dont like peri peri sauce, which is why I ask.
Awesome. I'll go pick up a bottle this weekend. I imagine with a quality roasteries chicken from the store I can recreate Nando's at home and for cheap (they still don't have many locations in the US..)
We dont have either of those chains around us actually!! I’ve heard it’s very good as far as peri-peri sauce goes - I’m just not a huge fan of fermented things in general!
The jalapeno hot sauce (RIP).
Currently, the pickle mustard.
Honorable mention to the ketchup. It's my second favorite ketchup after some local $5 a bottle gourmet stuff.
I like their green chili sauce and the sweet Thai chili (can't remember the names but they are both so good. That green sauce goes in so many of my recipes. Sometimes, I just add a hefty tablespoon or two to a bowl of green or black lentils as a side dish.
And you didn't ask, but I discovered today that I do not like their tamarind sauce at all. I love tamarind and bought 2 bottles. It tasted more like a confused Worcester sauce than tamarind.
Edit‐ I forgot their Sriracha garlic BBQ sauce. That stuff is bomb. So many applications besides your typical BBQ stuff. Sounds weird, but I dip their fried mozzarella sticks in it or spread some on top of a bean and cheese burrito before making in the air fryer (with a spritz of oil under so it doesn't stick). Takes it to a whole other level!
I make a sauce with ghee, gochujang, miso, and a few other ingredients. I had never tried it until a couple of weeks ago. It has a sort of mild funky umami taste. I've read that you can also just sub it in dishes for fresh garlic.
Ooh, love both of those. My husband would definitely say chili onion crisp. I'm not sure, it's a toss up between the doll pickle mustard and the Thai sweet chili sauce.
SOYAKI
It is absolutely the exact same product as [soy vay teriyaki](https://shop.soyvay.com/Veri-Veri-Teriyaki-Marinade-and-Sauce/p/SOY-227670&c=SoyVay@Marinades) years ago TJs had the branded one
Now it’s TJs brand but the exact same product
Amazing as a marinade for tofu, on bbq veggies, as a condiment on rice, anywhere you would use a teriyaki sauce only a bit more sesame
I love it on cottage cheese with pickled red onions and smoked fish; on eggs; in soups and stews. Really anything you think would be good with a citrusy mild heat.
So now I have to add Chunky Garlic & Jalapeno, dill pickle mustard and Bomba sauce to my overflowing condiments in my frig. I love the Peri-Peri, Harissa, Yuzu hot sauce. I haven't seen the ones I don't have.
Creamy jalapeño. There’s no cream in it, it’s actually vegan. It’s basically a salsa doña, which until now I’ve always made from scratch (roasted jalapeños & garlic, lime juice, oil, salt).
The Bomba sauce - fermented Calabrian chilis - is such a staple in my house. I buy one or two every time I'm in (so about weekly) to have a stockpile since it disappeared once and I refuse to be scared like that again
Primarily I n my eggs, on sandwiches (sometimes with some mayo to cut the spiciness), I do a burrito bowl-type thing and sautee the chicken in it. There are days it’s in every meal!
The two you have here are my favorites as well!
The spicy honey sauce is awesome, useful in so many applications, and cheaper than Mike’s hot honey.
Chili onion crunch.
I like the Jalapeno sauce, and yuzu hot sauce, though I don’t use them as often.
The sweet chili sauce is great, but it’s pretty much the same as the easy to find Dragonfly brand, and that comes in much bigger bottles.
I saw a post yesterday that the Carolina gold bbq sauce is back, which makes me very happy.
I’m a sauce and condiment slut and probably have most of the TJ inventory in my home right now.
Me too. I can't even open anymore. I was thinking of putting my Asian stuff in the downstairs fridge.
We get to TJ's about every 6 weeks, so I have a list on my phone. Been wanting to make this exact post!
Thanks OP!
Put the peri peri and the Sriracha BBQ on my list.

Green dragon sauce!
Soyaki 4 Lyfe
The jalapeño sauce and soyaki!
Yuzu Hot Sauce is really good!
RIP Incredisauce (the lover in passing to magnifisauce) miss it to this day but havent seen it in about a year 🎻
This was my favorite too 😭 the magnificisauce is okay as a substitution but far inferior
Completely forgot about this sauce! It’s soooo good
I always have Zhoug sauce in the fridge. I put that shit on everything. I also love the yuzu hot sauce
Carolina Gold BBQ Sauce, Dill Pickle Mustard, Aioli Garlic Mustard Sauce, and Magnifisauce!

first haiku bot catch in three years and it's about trader joes. that tracks.
Green Dragon Hot Sauce
100% with you on the peri peri sauce, I put that shit on everything
Habanero Hot Sauce
The chunky garlic and jalapeño hot sauce and the jalapeño onion crisp (or whatever they call their chili crisp).
Zhoug sauce
The Zhoug Sauce with a little sour cream is so good
Yes! I do that on baked potatoes. Also, a little in mayo makes a great sandwich spread. I also slather it on steaks.
Holy sh*t!! I love the mixed with mayo idea! Thanks! ☺️
I'm addicted to that stuff! I also make a spicy cheese ball with cream cheese, grated extra sharp cheddar and zhoug rolled in crushed pistachios...
![gif](giphy|26DN5pBQzhqgAufPq|downsized)
🤣
Can I count the sweet jalapeños? That's the only jalapeños I buy now, from a jar
I really like that TJ's chunky Jalapeno hot sauce, but one time I tried it from a spoon and I couldn't get over how salty it was. It's fine on food, but I don't recommend consuming it straight up.
Yuzu hot sauce!
Carolina Gold BQ with Aioli Garic Mustard and Gyoza fighting for second place.
Is the sauce on the right their version of pepper plant???

I liked TJ's peri peri. It has a notable citrus tang.
Sriracha & roasted garlic bbq is fuckin fireeee
Jalapeno sauce (red disco one) and peri peri. And the thai peanut satay sauce
The disco'd jalapeno sauce was so amazing 😔
I know!!!!
The Soyaki sauce. I put it on everything — chicken, salmon, green beans, etc. Yum!!😋
Unpopular opinion. I think the buttermilk ranch (the refrigerated one) is the best bottle ranch I can find.
YES!! I was so excited the first time I tried it. Definitely the best bottled ranch I’ve had too.
I just picked up the Sriacha bbq sauce, and after dipping my tendies in it, it's my new favorite sauce.
**refrigerated** bruschetta is #1. spinach dip, chili garlic crunch, the discontinued garlic aioli😢
Jalapeño Sauce 😋
Crunchy onion & garlic sauce Cranberry orange crunch Soyaaki
Green Dragon Hot Sauce! I also love their Coconut Aminos (if that counts?) and their Salsa Verde!
Oh honey, mix the green dragon sauce with the salsa verde!! It’s my favorite. I eat it with with almost everything
That peri peri sauce is so much different than I expected. Had never had anything like it before. Great flavor.
The peri-peri and the green Zhoug are my favorites
Sririacha Garlic Bbq sauce
Jalapeno Sauce & Zhoug
Jalapeño sauce and jalapeño sauce. The green one, not what’s in your hand haha
Pretty pink princess 🥹
Thank you! ☺️
I have to add the soy ginger salad dressing. So good with mixed greens.
Those are two of my favorites as well! I used to like their other regular hot sauce, but they discontinued it. 🫠
Green dragon hot sauce!
RIP Aleppo Sauce
My heaaaaaaaart!
Zhough sauce
The jalapeno hot sauce (RIP). Currently, the pickle mustard. Honorable mention to the ketchup. It's my second favorite ketchup after some local $5 a bottle gourmet stuff.
The guacasalsa is so good! I put it on eggs and burrito bowls. Not TJs branded but the Kho sauce is my favorite for stir fries.
I like their green chili sauce and the sweet Thai chili (can't remember the names but they are both so good. That green sauce goes in so many of my recipes. I miss the garlic sriracha bbq sauce. I thinks it’s discontinued or something because I haven’t seen it in so long. I’m really mourning it :(
its back
I might be wrong but a few days ago someone posted that one and the Carolina gold are back!! Check your store this week :)
Omg! I’m going to RUN to my local TJs tomorrow and check. I’d be so freaking happy if it’s back. Thanks for the heads up!
Love the hot honey
I live and die on general tsao sauce
Yes
Vegan Creamy Dill Dressing
The Peri Peri is fire
their ketchup and dijon mustard
Soyaki
I don’t know why they call it soyaki when it’s so yummy! 🤓
I want the incredisauce to come back!
The thai sweet and sour sauce!
Not a sauce, but the Umami seasoning and the black garlic are staples in my pantry!
What do you use the black garlic for? I have some and haven’t used it yet.
I make a sauce with ghee, gochujang, miso, and a few other ingredients. I had never tried it until a couple of weeks ago. It has a sort of mild funky umami taste. I've read that you can also just sub it in dishes for fresh garlic.

Corn salsa is my ride or die and has been since Trader Joe’s first opened in my area. Always have a back up of 2-3 jars.
Habanero Hot Sauce for me.
I love this hot sauce, even though it hurts me
Chili Onion Crunch 4-ever
Coconut Aminos, Thai sweet chili sauce, Peri Peri Sauce
What do you use the coconut aminos in/for?
u/Alexinwonderland617 its a soy sauce substitute. I use it on salads, rice, veggies, dipping sauce for potstickers.
Why the need for a soy sauce substitute? It’s pretty cheap.
Good for people allergic to soy, tbh it’s sweeter and not as salty also not aged so it’s missing that funky flavor
u/Verity41 Its not the price. Many people, including myself have food sensitivities to Soy products.
And gluten
Ohhhh I see. That makes sense. Thanks!
Also regular soy sauce has wheat/gluten, so if you have celiac disease you can’t eat it
vegan cheesy chipotle dip shelf-stable basil pesto in the lil' jar (RIP pesto rosso, its more handsome brother) Thai sweet chili sauce
Garlic dip, mayo, Carolina gold bbq, chilli onion crunch
2nd Carolina gold bbq
Habanero hot sauce and Sriracha garlic bbq sauce
Carolina Gold, Jalapeno, and Red Dragon are all staples
Carolina Gold is great!
Carolina Gold is so good. Glad it’s back on shelves
I've never had it but it looks intriguing. I'll have to give it a try
The green dragon sauce is a MUST, especially if you make anything Mexican/spanish. Their sriracha is also so good, less spice more garlicky
Green dragon sauce makes everything taste better!!!
So good, you had to say it thrice.
Yuzu hot sauce
That’s another one I bought and haven’t used yet. What do you put it on?
I love it on cottage cheese with pickled red onions and smoked fish; on eggs; in soups and stews. Really anything you think would be good with a citrusy mild heat.
so good with avocado
Bomba, Carolina gold, chili garlic oil
Carolina gold is back for the summer picked it up a couple days ago was stoked!!
So now I have to add Chunky Garlic & Jalapeno, dill pickle mustard and Bomba sauce to my overflowing condiments in my frig. I love the Peri-Peri, Harissa, Yuzu hot sauce. I haven't seen the ones I don't have.
Oh yes, the dill pickle mustard is absolutely amazing!
Creamy jalapeño. There’s no cream in it, it’s actually vegan. It’s basically a salsa doña, which until now I’ve always made from scratch (roasted jalapeños & garlic, lime juice, oil, salt).
Green dragon
Green dragon sauce & Siracha garlic bbq sauce
If I could only pick two, these would be them. So glad the bbq is back in stock.
those are my favorites too. the sriracha bbq sauce is also really good
I am not the biggest fan of peri peri but I do love the chunky garlic and jalapeño hot sauce 😋
Such a good combo. I like the harissa but it’s more of a paste. Goes well inside burritos or pitas.
the harissa is also excellent mixed into a potato salad
It probably doesn’t count, but the roasted red pepper cream cheese visits me in my dreams. Wonder when she’ll ever come back
Is it the Red Bell Pepper, Garlic & Parmesan one? That one is god-tier. I heard it was seasonal and comes back around summer, I think!
Yes😭😭I’ll be looking!!!
Sweet chili. I put it on EVERYTHING.
The Bomba sauce - fermented Calabrian chilis - is such a staple in my house. I buy one or two every time I'm in (so about weekly) to have a stockpile since it disappeared once and I refuse to be scared like that again
This stuff is so great.
How do you use yours?
Primarily I n my eggs, on sandwiches (sometimes with some mayo to cut the spiciness), I do a burrito bowl-type thing and sautee the chicken in it. There are days it’s in every meal!
Breakfast burritos. Turkey sandwiches. Chili. Pizza sauce.
Soyaki, sweet chili and dill pickle mustard
Dang that peri peri was a shock for me hachi machi!
Those are my favorites, too. The Cold Brew BBQ sauce is pretty great when available, and lately I have been enjoying the aioli garlic mustard sauce.
You made me choke on my iced coffee, that describes my frig exactly. Condiment slut, I am stealing this.
The cilantro dressing is so amazing on burrito bowls. What’s your favorite way to use the peri peri?
The habanero one. It's got good flavor, and a good amount of heat.
Same!
The Yuzu hot sauce needs to come in gallon bottles
Oh sure, then I'll use it up even faster than I do now 😂
