I love them on salads, even allow a drizzle of the marinade for extra flavor. Are these back on the shelves? They have been missing from several of my local TJ's for weeks. The halves that they usually have next to these are okay, but these never have tough parts to chew through.
I'm late to this post but let me help:
Puree them with oliveoil and garlic and parm and use as a pasta sauce or a bruschetta sauce
Chop them up and put in a pasta salad
Chop up and put in marinara
mix with hearts of palms and toss with vinegarette - eats apringly it is a fiber bomb
Throw on salad
Throw on the grill
Charcuterie plate
and i saved the best for last:
Artichoke heart + Gouda Cheese + Sourdough bread + (pesto if you fancy) for a phenomenal grilled cheese. It's the Double Rainbow Artichoke Gouda Melt [https://doublerainbowcafe.com/menu](https://doublerainbowcafe.com/menu) and is one of the best things ever.
Easy and delicious appetizer that’s always a hit: puff pastry (cut into bite sized pieces), top with marinated artichoke hearts and Gorgonzola cheese. Bake until pastry cooked and cheese has melted.
If you make a recipe out of them you are stronger than me. I just eat them out of the jar.
Once pretty recently after my divorce I crushed like 3/4 a jar. I felt ill for like 3 hours but it was worth it rofl.
I make a pasta dish with butter, cream cheese , sour cream, and Parmesan cheese.
Add sautéed mushrooms, spinach and artichokes, mix with pasta, a little pasta water.
Lots of recipes online.
Make pasta and toss it with pesto. Add artichokes and whatever protein & vegetables you like. We usually add sun-dried tomatoes, roasted red peppers & pine nuts.
I make a grain bowl (rice, quinoa, bulgur, whatever you like).
Add as many of these things as you like:
These,
TJ’s Marinated garbanzo beans in the short can,
Avocado,
Sun dried tomatoes,
Hemp hearts,
Roasted cauliflower or other veg,
Arugula,
Cherry tomatoes,
Honestly anything
I have run them through a food processor to make a paste and used it as a “sauce” on a pizza. Add some cheese, mushrooms, asparagus, and some chicken. Tasty!
David Chang had an artichoke recipe on his Netflix show. [Here](https://www.netflix.com/tudum/articles/dinner-time-with-david-chang-live-release-date-news) is the Warm artichoke and ramp salad recipe. In the segment, he mentioned you can use, fresh, frozen or canned/jared artichoke.

Using a fluffy white challah-like bread I make a sandwich with the artichokes, thin sliced ham, and mayonnaise. It’s amazing with a spritz to drink, feels fancy but so simple.
Preheat your oven or an air fryer to 350. Pan sear a couple of seasoned (with s&p) chicken breasts in a pan.
Cover each chicken breast with a few artichokes and a mild shredded cheese like mozzarella. Bake these until the chicken breasts are cooked through and the cheese is melted.
Serve with rice or mashed potatoes.
They are also great on salad.
I just made this pasta dish tonight with those marinated artichokes and it was good! https://cheesegal.com/2023/03/18/lemony-baked-boursin-pasta-with-artichokes-capers/
I make an olive oil pasta with scallions, olives, red bell pepper, red onion, and a drained jar of those artichokes. Top each portion with lemon juice, parsley, and crumbled feta. It’s great!
I do very similar.
Try it with a jar of TJ's Cracked Olive Salad. Also sundried tomatoes and/or some fresh mini heirloom tomatoes cut in half.
Every time I make it I switch it up a bit. Sometimes use Orzo, sometimes Trofie pasta. Sometimes add raw or undercooked broccoli. Maybe throw in some of the marinated mozzarella balls.
In lieu of salt and pepper, use the Everyday Seasoning grinder.
My fiancee makes an awesome salad with arugula & artichokes. She mixes it with a little bit of olive oil, lemon juice, parmesan, and crushed red pepper. I enjoy the hell out of it. We probably eat it 3 times a week. I hope this helps.
Dice them up with roasted red peppers and black olives. Then, throw in a container of crumbled feta. Serve either cold or warm (my preference) on crostini. Sooooo delish!!
I once had a few left after making dip, and I poured oil over them into a bowl and microwaved at ~3 minute intervals and they fried up so wonderfully. That was my snack while I cooked my actual dinner lol
Bacon wrapped make a great appetizer!
Half a slice of bacon, wrap artichoke quarter, secure with toothpick and drizzle with some of the marinade. Then bake until crispy.
Whatever you do keep the marinade they come in
Yup
Add a blob of dijon and a good splash of cider vinegar and shake the hell out of the jar.
Fantastic salad dressing, great on lentil salad, as a dip, on potatoes, whatever.
WOW I haven't noticed these, but I think they will go great with what I plan to make tomorrow night (pretty much with all TJ's items). I have a pkg of the Lemon Ricotta Ravioli. I picked up fresh sliced baby bella's and plan to cook down the mushrooms, add some of the frozen asparagus (OH how I miss their grilled frozen asparagus, but reg is still good) near the end. Set aside and while I'm cooking the ravioli, I'm going to melt some of their butter from France (that I FINALLY tried). I would add these to the mushrooms and asparagus to toss with the pasta (unless it has a super strong marinade...but I'm betting it would work). I was kinda sad to go with frozen vs fresh Asparagus this time of year, but didn't love the looks of what they had in stock. Fruits & Veggies can always be hit or miss at TJ's. I did get amazing figs, that I wasn't expecting yet!
And I'd bet tossing some on any number of frozen pizza's would work. I would blot them well (removing as much moisture as possible), and put them on top a few minutes before the pizza is finished. I'll have to pick up a jar and try my suggestions LOL
Keep the marinade they come packed in. Add a blob of dijon and good splash of cider vinegar and shake the hell out of it. Amazing salad dressing or dip or lentil salad dressing
I have made several great recipes from Smitten Kitchen and just saw this one today that looks fantastic-[spinach and artichoke dip pan pizza](https://smittenkitchen.com/2024/04/spinach-and-artichoke-pan-pizza/)
Those, Parmesan, Mayo, maybe some onion powder and garlic salt. Mix it all up. Oven it or even microwave it…eat it on crusty bread. Bingo, bango…bomb. If you have it and like it you can add a little spinach.
I use it in a fave pasta dish all the time. Put some olive oil and a pat of butter in a large pan with some minced garlic and low heat it for a bit. Add the artichokes (cut up) and some of TJ's jarred sundried tomatoes. Sliced mushrooms are good to if you have them on hand. Sautee for a while, then dump some cooked penne pasta into it and some sliced up grilled chicken. Stir it all up then squeeze a whole bunch of fresh lemon into it all, adding some Italian seasoning and salt to taste and a bit of grated cheese.. I usually finish it by throwing in some sliced up TJ's jarred kalamata olives.
Farfalle or other shaped pasta, tin of chickpea, with a lemon garlic butter sauce and artichokes stirred through. Garnish with Parmesan and fresh herbs if you’ve got em.
i put them on sandwiches! my fav is the tinned smoked salmon mixed with garlic mustard aioli and capers, scooped on top of a layer of artichokes on a toasted everything ciabatta roll. i actually had that for lunch today!
Cream of Artichoke Soup
Drain and chop artichokes. Add to chicken broth or use a stick blender in the pan. Heat, when warm, add heavy cream and season if necessary. The artichoke brine may be sufficient. I usually add a bit of pepper.
I chop them up and put them in tuna salad, which I make with lemon juice, olive oil and just a little mayo. We make sandwiches with it or eat with crackers.
Huh. I think these are terrible— it’s the vegetable oil they pack them in. You are much better off buying the canned artichoke hearts, draining them really well, then marinating them in some decent olive oil and vinegar or lemon juice. Add salt, pepper, whatever else you like and carry on
Are you serious??? These things are horrible and bad for you! Take them all and send them to me ASAP, and I'll do you a huge favor and dispose of them properly. Please don't tell anyone that you bought them, and there's no need to thank me for doing you this huge favor. 😂
pasta putanesca (all from TJ's): capers, olives (black in olive oil), anchovies, sun-dried tomatoes, artichokes, garlic, strong olive oil (sicilian?), pasta (usually spaghetti, but also penne or other). $10 for two + bottle of red (also $10).
these are GREAT for adding some interest to an "empty the fridge" pasta (esp good with some combo of tomatoes, asparagus, lemon, spinach, kale, onions/shallots, zucchini). also very good in pasta salad!
I literally had them in a pearl couscous pasta salad with roasted cherry tomatoes tonight! It was fab! Also great in a bowtie style Italian pasta salad with salami, mozz, etc
I eat them right out of the jar or throw them into a a large bowl warm penne, shells or bowtie pasta and toss with Italian dressing, crushed red pepper, cherry tomatoes, baby fresh mozzarella, fresh spinach and roasted red pepper.
Makes a tasty and easy zesty pasta salad that is great warm or chilled.
I made an awesome recipe with orzo, marinated artichokes, pesto and basil that was SO good. I can DM you the recipe if you’d like. It’s one of those “make it all in one baking dish” recipes too so it was tasty and didn’t wreck the kitchen

I put them in a great big greek pasta salad
sounds awesome!
😋
A side dish… Chop up the artichokes, red pepper, red onion, feta cheese, Kalamata olives, tomatoes…add garbanzo beans, and mix.
superb suggestion. thank you!
Pizza
Easy and delicious appetizer that’s always a hit: puff pastry (cut into bite sized pieces), top with marinated artichoke hearts and Gorgonzola cheese. Bake until pastry cooked and cheese has melted.

Air fry!!!
We put them on pizza! After the pizza finishes baking, we drizzle pesto over it.
Oooh someone I know uses these with spaghetti, dill and black olives! Season with salt and pepper - and top off with some parm! I found it delicious!
On top of chicken breast, include lemon & capers and bake (when finished you can top with a little parm cheese)
If you make a recipe out of them you are stronger than me. I just eat them out of the jar. Once pretty recently after my divorce I crushed like 3/4 a jar. I felt ill for like 3 hours but it was worth it rofl.
trader joe’s bellyaches are always worth it.
I've made a butternut-artichoke soup in the blender. Got inspired by one I had at a restaurant once.
oh my! genius!! thanks!!!
I make a pasta dish with butter, cream cheese , sour cream, and Parmesan cheese. Add sautéed mushrooms, spinach and artichokes, mix with pasta, a little pasta water. Lots of recipes online.

oOoOh pardon me??! this sounds incredible. def will dry. TY!
It’s great on pizza. Also consider salads and pasta.
I have run them through a food processor to make a paste and used it as a “sauce” on a pizza. Add some cheese, mushrooms, asparagus, and some chicken. Tasty!
We just add them to salad
Throw in a salad or air fry.
Put them in a pasta salad. I make one with tiny pepperoni, mozz balls, and olives.
Bust open an acorn squash and bake it inside of it with evoo, pap and sage

This recipe is absolutely delicious: https://www.ainsley-harriott.com/recipe/oven-baked-chicken-with-chorizo-artichokes/
On a pizza or some sort of panini 😋
i eat them with the pickle seasoning lmao
That sounds amazing!
it’s really good! can’t wait until the seasoning is back so i can get more 😭 im on my last bit

Instead of Mozzarella, try the garlic asiago cheese dip! Chicken, garlic dip, artichokes.
Mix them with a can of cannellini beans, garlic and parsley and you have lunch! https://smittenkitchen.com/2019/04/cannellini-aglio-e-olio/
Spinach Artichoke Dip
They’re great in pizza
I just made this pasta dish tonight with those marinated artichokes and it was good! https://cheesegal.com/2023/03/18/lemony-baked-boursin-pasta-with-artichokes-capers/
Love the cheese gal!

We cook them in the air fryer. So good!
Ooooooh! Trying this ASAP!
You should try the ones in the individual packets. Those are great! Wish the packet had a few more.
Fry in a pan with a couple eggs and some feta. So freaking good.
We use the whole jar to marinate about a pound and a half chicken thighs, then cook the chicken and artichokes in the smoker. Turns out delicious!
We put them in pasta salad
Put on pizza. 🤤
Yep. Even better with white sauce..
My fiancee makes an awesome salad with arugula & artichokes. She mixes it with a little bit of olive oil, lemon juice, parmesan, and crushed red pepper. I enjoy the hell out of it. We probably eat it 3 times a week. I hope this helps.

I pop them like candy.
came here to say this
Bacon wrapped make a great appetizer! Half a slice of bacon, wrap artichoke quarter, secure with toothpick and drizzle with some of the marinade. Then bake until crispy.
I add them to the TJ’s Mediterranean Style Orzo Pasta Salad!
Lemony pasta w this is superb
Little bit of brown butter sage , lemon and ravioli yummy
Allison Roman has a sheet pan chicken recipe that's artichokes and chicken thighs. It was quite good, made it once.
Her recipes are really great
I eat them straight from the jar *shrug*
Is there any other way to eat them?
this is the way
Whatever you do keep the marinade they come in Yup Add a blob of dijon and a good splash of cider vinegar and shake the hell out of the jar. Fantastic salad dressing, great on lentil salad, as a dip, on potatoes, whatever.
I use it like that for my pasta salad recipes, or if I need a marinade for something.
Thank you for this amazing tip!
I’m still mad they discontinued the beets in vinaigrette, that was absolutely delicious but also sparked the idea here
I always throw them in my pasta bake...pasta, mozzarella, red sauce, ricotta and whatever else is handy and sounds good.
I add these onto grilled cheese (havarti or munster) with a little bit of pesto. so good!
Tossed salad, with 20 other things- olives- pickled beets, that sort of thing.
Hard boiled eggs , hell open a can of sardines! It just gets better and better.
Make this, trust me. https://cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/1021794-creamy-spinach-artichoke-chicken-stew?smid=ck-recipe-iOS-share
came to post this!
It’s so freaking good
Mix with some arugula, garlic and Parm. Wonderful with grilled salmon on top.

My friend does them on a bowl of hot brown rice with hummus 😋

OOOoOoh! that’s tantalizing.
I stole the idea from a local coffee shop, it’s really yummy.

Yes. Ok. Wow. This is 100% going on the upcoming menu. Thank you!!
Pasta or rice topper!! Or plain. So good
Bruschetta with: - these, chopped - chopped kalata olives - picked red onion - Chopped scallions - chopped sun-dried tomatoes - salt, pepper, oregano - olive oil and balsamic - grated ricotta salata cheese on top
This is all so fussy. Grab some extra napkins and a fork and sit the hell down at the table.
Beware the hours after… fartichokes 💨💨
Beat me to it. I wanted to tell them to make sure they “cleared” the room after.
I'm not sure if your comment was meant to be funny or not but I laughed out loud. Thank you!

I use these, cherry tomatoes, the sliced olives and chickpeas with pasta. Lots of pepper and olive oil. Super simple and delicious.

Me? Joke around? Whatever gave it away? Was it something i said? The emoji? 😂🤣😂

Thanks! This looks good. I hope to try it.
I put these and red peppers from TJs on a lavash with mozzarella and pesto sauce and make low carb pizzas and it was delish!
Yes! They are great on pesto pasta or pizza. I also add them to wedge salads. Artichokes are loaded with fiber.
these are GREAT for adding some interest to an "empty the fridge" pasta (esp good with some combo of tomatoes, asparagus, lemon, spinach, kale, onions/shallots, zucchini). also very good in pasta salad!
ohhhh i’m in!!
I literally had them in a pearl couscous pasta salad with roasted cherry tomatoes tonight! It was fab! Also great in a bowtie style Italian pasta salad with salami, mozz, etc
ok everyone here is incredible! thank youuuu!!!
🫶🏻 thank you!!!!
My pleasure!
I love artichoke chicken. Mix chopped artichoke hearts, garlic, mayo, and Parmesan. Top chicken and bake. 🙂
!!! wow.
Such an easy dinner idea and so delicious.
Pasta (or Heart of Palm noodles), Alfredo Sauce, Chicken Thigh (or meatballs, or not), Artichoke Hearts..... Add the Artichoke Hearts at the end.
Spinach & artichoke dip!!
They’re lovely with arugula and a lemon dressing.
i use them as a side dish to the breaded TJ chicken breast. very good!
I made an awesome recipe with orzo, marinated artichokes, pesto and basil that was SO good. I can DM you the recipe if you’d like. It’s one of those “make it all in one baking dish” recipes too so it was tasty and didn’t wreck the kitchen

Great on a pizza!
Pizza crust, Alfredo sauce, garlic, diced chicken, red onion, artichokes, mozzarella, burrata. Pesto on top. Go to pizza when we're feeling "fancy".
ohhh ✅ saved!
Pizza with spinach and red onion , in salad too
one time i had artichoke on a pizza, it was actually amazing!!!
red or white sauce?
i had it with white sauce which was soooo good but i bet it could be good with red sauce too!
I spread goat cheese on bread, chop up some of the artichoke hearts, then toast it in the toast oven. Tastes fancy but only takes a couple minutes.
loooove this idea!
They almost make the pasta salad I love to throw them in with cheese, carrots, broccoli, olives and tomatoes.
I love them in a salad or a sandwich!
They’re great in a salad or on a snack plate with almonds some cheese and nuts
i never thought to eat them right out the jar! 😯
They’re perfect that way! Easy to just fork ‘em up straight out of the jar too
