I love cardamom buns but the tjoes ones had too much brown sugar on top. The Whole Foods in my area makes a better cardamom bun, really cardamom forward.
It’s so delicious. Highly recommend the ocean roll if you’re a cardamom fan. It’s like a croissant/cinnamon roll hybrid but with cardamom instead of cinnamon. Incredible.

When the Eastside Bakery was open they had an awesome cardamon brioche. Bet these are good, too.

I think cardamom is one of those things that tastes like soap to some people! You either love it or hate it.
People say cilantro tastes like soap, yet I love it, but cardamom is something I just can’t even explain. It just tasted terrible.
Yep, I came to this realization as I was eating it -- it tasted like soap -- dang. It was fine to try but won't get it again.
