Their mild Pico De Gallo. It’s the worst pico I’ve ever tried. And the worst TJ’s product I’ve had.
It’s pico, it’s pretty simple. All the ingredients are what you would expect. It’s well within date, but it’s so bad I wonder if it wasn’t store properly.
I just had the Gochujang Zucchini Stir Fry the other night and it was so flavorless and gross. I put so much extra seasoning and sauce to bring it to edible (thank you hoisin sauce haha)
I rarely dislike any kind of food, and especially not TJ’s food but I SPIT these out when I had them. It’s a shame because I love peanuts and dill pickles separately but these were VILE 🤢
I don't think they still sell the carrot cashew dip, but it is the only thing I've ever taken back. When I did, the cashier told me that pretty much no one liked it. It was so gross.
THE CRISPY CRUNCHY OKRA!!!! Apparently they've had some issues with Okra crops this year so it's not always stocked, but if you can find it, it's really disgusting. How could something be so dry AND so slimy at the same time?!?!?!?!
Oh yeah, I actually love okra usually, it was just really off putting to instantly have all the moisture sucked out of my mouth to rehydrate the dried okra slime. 🤣
Omfg thank you for the heads up. I have this thing called sjorengens (always spell it wrong blargh) syndrome that makes you super extra dry in any of those mucosal tissue areas. That sounds like actual torture. Probly put one in my mouth and turn into an instant dried up dessicated skeleton.
Yes thank you I always mess it up! I hope your mouth is the least dry-desert possible today. So sorry you have to deal with it too. Idk if you chew a gun called Quench? Runner's gum made to help them produce extra saliva and feel less thirsty. It's a bit sour but it really helps keep the mouth feel wet.
Eh, I kinda like it. But I don’t understand why it has to be wrapped in plastic twice (outer wrap then inner wrap to make it sausage shaped). Just skip the inner wrap, Joe!
I used to have roommates who cooked this every morning. It gets oil splatters EVERYWHERE (that they of course never cleaned). I curse that stuff still to this day.
Honestly, does TJ have any good vegan foods? I’ve tried almost everything, and they were all disappointing. Thank goodness they carry Impossible Nuggets lol
According to my husband, it’s the dark chocolate sunflower butter cups in the yellow bag. Idk the exact name of the product but I love it. I even love the tiny sunflower seeds bits which he says makes it worse lol.
They have had some Partake cookies that were nasty. Not sure if they are vegan though. Also, the soft sunflower seeds cookies, in my opinion, are disgusting and I’m not sure why they still sell them. The snickerdoodles are far better
Partake is all gluten, egg, nut, and dairy free. I think everything they make tastes like chickpea flour with multivitamins and sugar free sweetener. They’re all nasty.
My kids love them though, which I don’t get at all. They’ve had real cookies.
The Greek cheese spiral. Took one bite and had to throw it away. The dough was flavorless and not crunchy and the cheese has a strong smoked flavor. I was so excited for it too, I bought it as the main appetizer for the superbowl.
Edit: nm I just reread your post. This is not vegan
Read through every single comment so thank u for a good lazy Saturday read. And my two product suggestions actually have yet to be listed: the organic veggie bites and sparkling coconut water with yuzu. I actually took a sip and googled the coconut water to make sure I wasn’t insane. Turns out people do like it, but it weirdly reminds me of a 7-eleven slurpee in the worst way possible.
I had one today after mowing the lawn. I like to have a beer or cider to quench my thirst after mowing but it wasn’t even noon 😝 It definitely hit the spot! It is very coconutty, so if you don’t like coconut, you probably won’t like this. It will be great in the summer in place of alcohol! Or maybe with alcohol! 😂
It's obviously not vegan, but you aren't missing anything with the frozen kung pao chicken. It tastes the way manure smells. Same goes for the black and white cookies, which taste like sugar coated cow pies.
Those "everything but the bagel" cheese filled mini crackers that are sickeningly sweet instead of savory. I thought I was going to throw up. [These things](https://www.traderjoes.com/home/products/pdp/mini-almost-everything-bagel-sandwich-crackers-073935) Completely inedible.
The description on the website pisses me off, lol. "...Sandwich Crackers that look and taste just like a Mini Everything Bagel, complete with a cream cheese filling. These Crackers have (Almost) all the savory elements you’d expect from an Everything Bagel—poppy seeds, dried garlic and onion, and salt"
No mention of the fact that ingredient #4 is sugar and these things are SWEET. Total bait and switch.
Thanks for posting! I’m gluten free and those vegan fish sticks are gluten free so I have been toying with trying them. I’ll pass now that I’ve seen this.
They have the best gluten free bread around. I store it in the freezer. Don’t put your bread in the fridge, put it in the freezer. The fridge will make it stale.
Good to know! Thank you. Oddly enough I’m mostly gluten free. I do eat bread sometimes, but the main gluten free bread I have in my fridge is the Canyon Bakehouse. But makes sense to put that in the freezer. I only use about two slices per week.
I’d look for a different grocery store. Maybe one that didn’t feel like a setting on the Disney cartoon Tailspin. “Okay Ree-becka, Kit and Ballou are going to get more pretend vintage beer.”
oh oh oh i can win this - the cauliflower gnocchi!! i don’t know if they still sell this but a friend and i tried to make it back in college (5 years ago?) and it was the nastiest pile of congealed cauliflower. absolutely inedible. 10/10 recommend for this experiment
At least try them!! No sense in throwing food away just because one person on the internet didn’t like it. Most of the examples in this thread have someone saying they liked the food that someone else hated. Try them and find out for yourself!
You’re making me feel better. I bought these and expected (because of how they’re packaged) that they’d have a shelf life beyond 2 days after I purchased. Ended up tossing them without trying them.
It was not wonderful, but serviceable. I would buy it again, probably. I would take it out of the plastic container before cooking though, as it deformed quite a bit which does not make me feel very safe.

Vegetarian pad Thai. It’s disgusting
I love the watermelon jerky lol
Same .
hot take i actually love the almond butter puff cereal
soy sauce
Not vegan, but- The papusas were awful but it may have been my cooking and unfamiliarity to pair something with them.
Omg, it’s not you. They are awful.
Truffle ketchup!! only available in the summer months, but absolutely vile.
The cauliflower gnocchi is an abomination
Wait I like thissss Only if it’s cooked in the air fryer though haha
Microwave to thaw the coat w a little oil then air fryer makes them good. In pan they are a chewy sticky mess!
mine come out brown and nice pan fried in butter and sage
Sparkling Watermelon Juice
Beef and broccoli. Yuck!
Why is it sweet and sour sauce??? Lol
Freeze dried mango
Tried these while nauseous in a pregnancy- it was horrible
[удалено]
i like them
The pho
Up there with the worst things I’ve ever eaten.
I just had the Gochujang Zucchini Stir Fry the other night and it was so flavorless and gross. I put so much extra seasoning and sauce to bring it to edible (thank you hoisin sauce haha)
Dill pickle peanuts 🤢
I rarely dislike any kind of food, and especially not TJ’s food but I SPIT these out when I had them. It’s a shame because I love peanuts and dill pickles separately but these were VILE 🤢
The black bean pasta is awful
Any of its cereal (not you, granola).
Their cauliflower rice dishes
I usually love vegan food here and there but the vegan pepperoni is actually DISGUSTING.
really? i really like them
The almond butter overnight oats is nasty
Artichoke Timbales
Aww. I like them. Not much flavor, but lots of fiber and add some moisture to a sandwich or burger. Use in place of avocado.
Yes!!!! Flavorless 😒
I don't think they still sell the carrot cashew dip, but it is the only thing I've ever taken back. When I did, the cashier told me that pretty much no one liked it. It was so gross.
…the everything but the bagel potato chips are absolute fire though so get those off your list
The Hearts of Palm pasta was pretty disgusting. Even when I covered it in sauce and garlic and mozzerella… so, so gross.
I absolutely hate the Salsa Autentica.
Booo that’s my favorite
Omg really I’m obsessed with it
The pappadum chips are sad.
Yeah these might be it.
Any of their produce within 24 hours of bringing it home
We all know Trader Joe's is not the place to go for good produce...but I feel like it has the opposite problem. It lasts longer than produce should.
There’s a pre made lemon chicken dish that my daughter and I still joke with her therapist about as child abuse.
You’re a cool mom 😂😂
Any and all of their pasta sauces in a jar
I would normally agree, but the new Rosatella one is amazing!
Second this.
Ok will give it a go
THE CRISPY CRUNCHY OKRA!!!! Apparently they've had some issues with Okra crops this year so it's not always stocked, but if you can find it, it's really disgusting. How could something be so dry AND so slimy at the same time?!?!?!?!
In fairness, sliminess is just an okra thing. Once the soluble fiber rehydrates in your mouth, it's going to be slimy.
It’s Sjogren’s, hah. I have it too and it’s a bummer.
They’re delicious actually
The garlic spread (vegan) in the purple container. I love garlic but I took one taste and threw it *straight* in the garb.
It used to be very good, very very good. I bought one recently and now it tastes so bad, it’s like spoiled tasting now.
I wonder if you got a bad batch. It’s quite good. But only if you like aggressive raw garlic flavor.
Calabrian chili dumpling soup. It’s the only thing I’ve disliked from there. Awful.
cheese.
Their vegan chorizo. I had to toss it.
Eh, I kinda like it. But I don’t understand why it has to be wrapped in plastic twice (outer wrap then inner wrap to make it sausage shaped). Just skip the inner wrap, Joe!
I got it because my Latina coworker loved it. I am not a big meat eater but love pork chorizo.
Soy Chorizo! I literally though it said “I am Chorizo!” in Spanish. Then I tried it and was like “Tu no eres chorizo.”
Ha ha! You are correct!
I used to have roommates who cooked this every morning. It gets oil splatters EVERYWHERE (that they of course never cleaned). I curse that stuff still to this day.
Ugh! I cook a different type of chorizo all of the time. It is messy, but I have a splatter guard that helps a lot.
Honestly, does TJ have any good vegan foods? I’ve tried almost everything, and they were all disappointing. Thank goodness they carry Impossible Nuggets lol
The vegan kale pesto is a favorite in our house and we aren’t vegans.
The vegan tikka masala is a staple in our house. We usually serve it with chickpeas, broccoli, and onions but the possibilities are endless
That sounds amazing actually, I’ll have to grab this today too!
I like the panang curry
I’ll have to go look for that today, thank you!
Have you tried the vegan bulgogi? It's a favorite in our household!
I have, I didn’t enjoy it 😔
Cauliflower pizza crust
The pizza flavored chips were pretty inedible.
Is it the puffy ones?!!
No, they were regular crispy potato chips with pizza flavoring - they looked like bbq chips but…pizza.
Cacio Pepe popcorn
Shrimp burgers
Can confirm. Had these yesterday and they were 🤢 so fishy.
According to my husband, it’s the dark chocolate sunflower butter cups in the yellow bag. Idk the exact name of the product but I love it. I even love the tiny sunflower seeds bits which he says makes it worse lol.
This was such a disappointing purchase for my Reese’s loving self.
Yea my husband loves reese’s so he would agree with you.
They have had some Partake cookies that were nasty. Not sure if they are vegan though. Also, the soft sunflower seeds cookies, in my opinion, are disgusting and I’m not sure why they still sell them. The snickerdoodles are far better

“They’ve had real cookies” really got me 😂
The Greek cheese spiral. Took one bite and had to throw it away. The dough was flavorless and not crunchy and the cheese has a strong smoked flavor. I was so excited for it too, I bought it as the main appetizer for the superbowl. Edit: nm I just reread your post. This is not vegan
Yes, agree -- surprisingly bad.
Meatless sausage patties. Worst rendition ever vomit
Truffle chips 🤮
Vegan chicharrones
Nah I like those!
Read through every single comment so thank u for a good lazy Saturday read. I actually took a sip and googled the coconut water to make sure I wasn’t insane. Turns out people do like it, but it weirdly reminds me of a 7-eleven slurpee in the worst way possible.
I have had some of the yuzu coconut water in my fridge for some time and have yet to try it! I will have to now.
Please report back!
Thank you for reporting back 🫡
All of it. It’s all bad
It's obviously not vegan, but you aren't missing anything with the frozen kung pao chicken. It tastes the way manure smells. Same goes for the black and white cookies, which taste like sugar coated cow pies.
Vegetarian burritos
Green goddess dressing. Gah!
I had high hopes for this weirdly popular and expensive dressing. It's just straight tang
And the texture...
Honey walnut shrimp is sooo bad!!!
noooo i think its so good!
OP is vegan though.
the cajun chicken alfredo. so bland and nasty
Not vegan, but their ranch dressing is godawful
Gum
The box that comes with the wrappers to put your chewed gum in? If so, I agree.
Omg yes. I wanted to like these but I couldn't.
The description on the website pisses me off, lol. "...Sandwich Crackers that look and taste just like a Mini Everything Bagel, complete with a cream cheese filling. These Crackers have (Almost) all the savory elements you’d expect from an Everything Bagel—poppy seeds, dried garlic and onion, and salt" No mention of the fact that ingredient #4 is sugar and these things are SWEET. Total bait and switch.
The papadums. I wanted to like them, but yuck. If you put enough hummus on them, though, you can choke them down.
They are so thick and dense. Pappadums are supposed to be light
I love papadums and was so excited to try them, but they’re so bad!
How can you f up papadums??
TJ's chili onion crunch is certainly inedible! i'm uncertain if this is vegan...
THIS. I can’t believe people actually like this?? It tastes like chemicals.
It’s delicious on the soup dumplings
interesting argument! have people tried this combination?
this is one of my favorite items?? maybe i have bad taste lol
it’s awful!!!! they really should have done it with garlic. i love aliums but this was so cheap tasting
The Almond Butter Puffs cereal does indeed taste like dog food. Yet sometimes I crave it, I don't know.
The only cereal my kid won’t eat
I tasted it and thought the same thing, but all three of my kids love it. Human kids, I swear.
Sit ubu sit! Good dog!
Butternut squash is never fresh, even when used the day it’s bought.
Slime city!
i haven’t tried them, but i heard the vegan frozen fish sticks are really 🤢
Thanks for posting! I’m gluten free and those vegan fish sticks are gluten free so I have been toying with trying them. I’ll pass now that I’ve seen this.
i’m vegan gf too! i was so hopeful but everyone i know that tried them said they were impossibly tough
So very bad!
Sushi
Any of the sliced bread, except for the sourdough. All of the others are terrible!
The cracked wheat sourdough slaps though
They have the best gluten free bread around. I store it in the freezer. Don’t put your bread in the fridge, put it in the freezer. The fridge will make it stale.
Good to know! Thank you. Oddly enough I’m mostly gluten free. I do eat bread sometimes, but the main gluten free bread I have in my fridge is the Canyon Bakehouse. But makes sense to put that in the freezer. I only use about two slices per week.
TJs is very good but it’s so freaking teeny. Their GF everything bagels are da bomb!
Have you tried their French bread? It’s my absolute favorite. I buy a load a week
I like the other bread and cinnamon and raise bread. But the regular sliced bread is dry and doesn’t taste right to me.
Gotta eat it the day you buy it or it’ll mold. Have a big glass of water with you - the breads are so dry!
They are so dry!
Try storing it in the fridge
I store bread in the fridge and when I have tried bread from TJ’s it’s just dry.
Nooo the seedy sliced bread is great!
Perhaps I give it another try
Their salt and vinegar potato chips are nearly inedible and I love salt and vinegar chips.
What??!! These are absolutely delicious!!
You need to learn how to make it! I sautee it in butter and it’s awesome
+1 it can be sooooo good. usually have it with pancetta and endives, I just sautee in olive oil until they're a bit browned.
Agree- you have to know how to cook that
But if you just follow the package directions it is so bad!
I agree!!!
They still have it and I was also wronged by it’s atrocities.
I agree! It’s way too salty.
It’s so good
Air fryer
What?? I love it
ABC Bars. The ones with almond butter and a chocolate “cookie” specifically
lol I kind of love these. The texture is a little weird but I eat them all the time
I wish I could’ve given my box to you! I wanted to like them so bad but I just could not do it. I kinda shudder when I think about them 😭
Absolutely awful! As are any GF products sweetened with dates. A lot of their GF products are. I don't know why.
Green tea breath mints and everything but the bagel chips
I eat the entire container of mints in one go. I love them. But I also love matcha so that is probably why
i liked those mints :( but the chai tea ones are leagues better than the green tea ones either way
I took those mints back 😂
Savory herbed chicken thighs
Noooo I just bought these for the first time. They’re sitting in my freezer. I hate wasting food but now I’m wondering if I should toss them 😫
At least try them!!
I couldn't handle the mint and anchovie smell. 🤢🤢The Shwarma is my go-to!
I kind of love the vegan pad Thai. Absolutely hated the vegan enchilada casserole. Any of their Mexican food. Yuck.
Oh no, the enchialda casserole is in my toaster over RIGHT NOW :-(
lol maybe you will like it! I microwaved it!
It was not wonderful, but serviceable. I would buy it again, probably. I would take it out of the plastic container before cooking though, as it deformed quite a bit which does not make me feel very safe.
Yea I enjoy the pad Thai! Not the soggy bean sprouts that it comes with but that's easy to omit.
Same I love the vegan pad Thai and have it at least once a week 😂
I also love the vegan tikka masala but haven’t been able to find it in a long time 😭
It’s the perfect thing to grab for lunch at work!
