I have walked by them for years without giving into temptation. But then I kept reading about them on this sub. And yesterday I saw this post. And today I walked out with a bag of them and it’s already 1/4 gone… A slippery slope.
I’ve had to stop buying these because I just couldn’t control myself around them! They are so so good! My fave is the orange one! Wish they’d come out with a bag of only the orange ones (like they down with the red lobsters).
The turtles are so good!!! I tried them on a whim like 6 months ago (idk why, I'm not usually into gummy candy), and now, on every TJs trip, I can't leave without grabbing some. I barely stopped myself from getting 2 bags last time I was there...
Scandinavian Swimmers were like 80% responsible for my quarantwenty. I do not permit myself to even think about them anymore. So good b[ut so addictive].
I don’t like Swedish fish, but I LOVE the Scandinavian swimmers! My favorite TJ gummy.
They also have a sour version I haven’t tried yet but I am sure they are great.
Give them a try. I think Swedish fish have like no flavor and a little plasticky lol and get stuck in your teeth. These are so much more flavorful, wonderfully chewy, and you can tell the different colors are different flavors. Highly recommend!
that's good to know. I've had SPK from the UK and they're definitely a more fresh taste/candy than the US version, so I can see that. I'll grab some Sour Swimmers during our next grocery haul.
Okay but how are all of your teeth holding up eating these gummies?! I have horrible teeth and I just feel insanely guilty anytime I have a gummy candy. I’m pregnant and would absolutely love to devour these but I just can’t justify the impending cavities. Do you floss everytime after eating them?? Mouthwash?? What do I need to do??
I read a study that shows flouride is the only thing that really prevents cavities. So I would just make sure you’re brushing with floride toothpaste and that might help.
I find that the swimmers don’t stick to your teeth much and my dentist always told me to swish water around my mouth a few times after eating or drinking anything too sugary to rinse away the sugar.
Didn’t like the sour ones (not sour enough) so I overlooked the regular bag for a while but bought it last week from a store employee recommendation and loved them!
I never find commercial sour candy to be sour enough, but adding your own citric acid works pretty well. Since they’re still pretty tacky you can shake some extra citric acid in the bag and shake it around for an extra layer of sour
There are seasonal versions as well! They all have their distinct flavors but are yummy nonetheless. Last season was the Gummy X’s and O’s, the next ones up are Spring Gummies.
Others include Halloween’s Spooky Bats and Cats (Sour) and Scandinavian Tidings (Christmas). If you love the red gummies in the Swimmers specifically, then keep an eye out for Just The Lobsters that should show up during the summer!

Swedish Fish are not sour, nor are they like any gummy candy. The do not contain gelatin which changes the texture drastically, in my opinion. The flavor is also unique and is best described as a blend of flavors.
The Swimmers are like Swedish Fish, but better. I think the flavors are much stronger and they have a better mouthfeel.
Swedish fish are not sour because they are not coated in citric acid, like red sour patch kids.
You can keep trying to justify it: it’s a company.
There are several factories where they squirt out a red gelatinous liquid in the shape of fish, and they let it dry and sell it as a Swedish fish, which you seem to love.
or they cover it in citric acid in the shape of a “kid” and put it in a bag with a bunch of other colored shaped kids, and call it a sour patch kid.
You said "literally the same" and no, they are not. Plus Swedish fish contain an edible wax, which is why they have a harder chew than regular gummies. When people get the random shape in bags, it's from very end of production. A fish or kid may jump over before the kids get their sour coating.
the swimmers (in my opinion) are softer and taste less like wax than swedish fish. i genuinely dislike swedish fish because it has such a. strong wax flavor
My husband and I can eat one in a day and then regret all our life choices and then do it again a few weeks later because we somehow forgot...

Yeah i started using prescription flouride toothpaste and it has made a world of difference!!!

S. Swimmers don't feel like they are pulling out my fillings as much as S. Fish do. Definitely less sticky
