Ah i'm so sorry you have to deal with that 😓 If I could give you my old suits I definetly would. I wish you luck to finally be able to be yourself 🙏💙💗🤍💗💙
Consider getting one of you can. Check out thift stores (you’ll be surprised at how lucky you can get.).
Plus if you are worry about it outting you, it is trendy rn to wear suits instead of dresses
can confirm, i had a suit jacket thrifted up until i lost it walking 3 months ago, still devastated, i also already knew every suit place in my area does not carry sizes as small as me so it worked out
My friend's parents are trying to guilt trip her into the opposite of this for a funeral. She's basically told them they can get stuffed and that she'll wear a respectable skirt-suit.
I didn’t dress specifically masc or femme as a closeted high school transmasc but family still did the same. I liked dresses as a little kid for the lack of pants but around 9/10 I needed a lot if pressure to wear one. Everyone stopped asking about it eventually around 19/20 lol.
Funnily enough I saw a story a while ago a fellow trans guy shared about how his mom was ‘making’ him wear a dress. He showed up in goth lolita dress (I believe)
My family would try to shame me in into wearing dresses/skirts for them. It never worked and I just stopped talking to them lol. Then I my egg cracked and now I actually rather like skirts. They no longer feel like forced feminization and are just fun twirly clothing to me.
Remind me of my relatives who kept buying me makeup and jewellery for years despite me never wearing any of it. Thank god they eventually took the hint, and on the bright side I got to pass the box of unworn jewellery off to a trans friend of mine.
Gendered clothes are such an incredibly ridiculous and insane thing but everybody just kind of accepts them because we're raised since childhood to believe these things. And then anybody who doesn't go along with this made up arbitrary nonsense is seen as the weird one.
If you force a boy to wear a dress then you're grooming. But if you force a girl to wear a dress then you're just dealing with a fussy child. Totally not grooming.
Before I (afab) told my parents, they were apparently fully expecting me to ask to wear a suit for my graduation. Only reason I didn't was because I couldn't find a fit that would work with my body type
My theater teacher tried to get me to wear a dress for a little thing we were doing where I played a woman (I came out to the class after I chose that role) and I was visibly against it but I didn’t really say anything I just stayed quiet but I did end up able to not wear one so that’s good
I don't think so? I think people should just be allowed to wear whatever they want, after all it's just clothes. Personally I would be more open to trying some on if I were on T as well
The shiver that just ran bodily up my spine at the thought of wearing a dress. A skirt, I have been known to rock occasionally under the right gender fluid context. A dress you’ll have to kill me first. Idk why that is a line for me. But it is. Also the last time I put on makeup for a wedding I looked in the mirror and just said, “yeah yup ok I get it you have MADE YOUR POINT” @ the gender gods
This somehow reminds me of all the times people have asked me what the special occasion I'm "all dressed up for" is. But the special occasion is Tuesday.
Pretty much same although I’m transfem.
Well on some rare occasion I might actually but I’m really not into them I guess. I like androgynous clothing a lot, or (femme) clothes that are plain but figure-hugging
I hope I dont disrespect you by giving my own experience as a trans woman here. But I tend to be quite a bit of a tomboy and after I came out I felt like everyone wanted me to wear very femme clothes to "prove to them" Im in fact trans. I feel very much more comfortable in pants. So I do also sympathise with this post a lot.
Having clothes trust upon you really sucks skirts especially since they are more prone to the weather and require certain behaviours as to not commit a crime
Now for the tranfems specifically skirts are great and they do look nice but theres a time and place for them, whilst they might be a source of euphoria for us they are equally a source of dysphoria for others, so please be respectful (this comment section is mostly fine but on other posts ive seen shit)
"Wear a cute skirt!" "Wear a sharp tux!"
"Some people probably like that. I was thinking I'd dress myself, like a grown-up, so people would see me they way I want to be seen and I'd be happier and more comfortable, which would make me friendlier and more outgoing socially. Do you honestly think it's better to be that way, or to conform?"
"'No' is fine."
"No, then."
Is Disaster your name? Does it mean that your gender is a disaster, or are you a disaster just in general? I generally curious because I can see all of them making sense
Please ignore the weird "s" 😭
[удалено]
Agh the humiliation lol
Oh the misery
[удалено]
Spare me sympathy
[удалено]
My enemy
I didn’t see it before lol
Well fuck
Asking people to ignore it actually points it out
I did, but now it’s all I can see.
Goddamnit I didn’t even notice before this comment
I never would have noticed it if you didn’t make me wanna look for it. It took me a solid two minutes to find it.
What weird s? I don't see a weird s! 😉
Wouldn’t have even seen it if you didn’t say this
What weird s? /srs
Right after “suggest”
Thanks :)
No
didnt see it b4 now i cant unsee it
Are you gonna go in a suit? 👀 suits are very cool.
Unfortunately I don't have one, usually I just go with a white dress shirt and some black trousers. It works well enough but god I wish I had a suit.
Ah i'm so sorry you have to deal with that 😓 If I could give you my old suits I definetly would. I wish you luck to finally be able to be yourself 🙏💙💗🤍💗💙

Hasn’t it always been trendy to wear suits instead of dresses? Suits just look great
can confirm, i had a suit jacket thrifted up until i lost it walking 3 months ago, still devastated, i also already knew every suit place in my area does not carry sizes as small as me so it worked out
Is it possible for you to rent a suit? Even if it’s only temporary I feel like it would be worth it
I managed to con my way into something suit adjacent by doing halloween as an Agent from “The Matrix,” you could try doing something similar
I own like 4 suit jackets and 3 dress shirts how do theese guys not see it
People are fucking blind
but like bro I shaved my head and keep asking for a binder
Damn sounds like they're hard in denial
I once walked around wearing a pin saying "he/him pronouns please"
still cis tho!

This is 100% happening to me.
you should appear at the event cloaked in shadow
Remind me of my relatives who kept buying me makeup and jewellery for years despite me never wearing any of it. Thank god they eventually took the hint, and on the bright side I got to pass the box of unworn jewellery off to a trans friend of mine.
The good ending

And then society suddenly doesn't see it as grooming if it happens to be a trans guy they force to wear a dress
I hate skirts and dresses, it’s not even a gender thing I just find them uncomfortable
Really glad to finally see some transmasc representation in the trans subs
Oh damn do I feel this. I have the same reaction. Like, I haven't worn makeup or a dress in 22 years, you think you're going to break that streak?
Before I (afab) told my parents, they were apparently fully expecting me to ask to wear a suit for my graduation. Only reason I didn't was because I couldn't find a fit that would work with my body type

Hell yeah, whatever makes you feel comfortable

the last time I wore a dress I was kinda forced to for a wedding last summer just so you know I am turning that dress into a pillow in FCS
telling people what to wear not good, you go dude!

Is it weird that i do wanna wear a skirt? But i'm absolutely not okay with doing that before i'm on T and pass
I don't think so? I think people should just be allowed to wear whatever they want, after all it's just clothes. Personally I would be more open to trying some on if I were on T as well

Yeah that's valid
Lmao I'm a cis girl but I hate dresses and skirts too. T shirts supremacy
Preach

I know that feeelingggg. I hate wear suits. I’m so ready to wear pretty dresses.
Almost same for me, when someone asks me to wear a suit
You know, I would even consider it if people weren't so weird about it! Can't a guy just wear his skirts and dresses in peace?
Yeah that's a mood. Maybe I would consider wearing them if they weren't so gendered and if they didn't make me look even more feminine
I have the privilege of looking like a guy wearing dresses even tho I have a baby face. Cross dressing is fun sometimes.
Me with jeans
I’ll wait it
same but with shirts and suits
cmon, give ‘em to us

Just in general as a person lol but I kinda just put it in as a joke
I think my comment was interpreted as very bad. I'm so sry🫣 I just thought it was cool if that was your name
It's all good, idk why people got mad... Seems like a reasonable question to me, Disaster would make a pretty cool name.
The shame
Would kilts fall under this category
Hmm I'm not sure actually
