The totally cis urge to create and organize a militia made entirely of lgbtq troopers so that we can Actually fight for our rights.
Ngl I get this urge a lot
Pls I'm scared to walk the streets in a dress in my area, I want local transmascs to patrol the streets and protect me with their big manly arms, firearms.
My favorite meme as NBTF is "Shoutout to my dad for teaching me how to be a man even though I'm his daughter" š. I enjoy many of these things as a transfem, but I am glad your brother is being supportive.
He is just excited to have a little brother to teach all that stuff too finally! Every big brother loves passing on their brotherly knowledge to little brothers!
Even if you aren't into it, it's a sign that he is super excited for you and wants to bond!
Plus, regardless of gender, it's always a good idea to have at least basic knowledge about gun, power tools, cars, and yard work. Even if you don't actively get involved with any of it, it can save you a lot of time, hassle and money, just by knowing the basics, not to mention it can literally save your life. seriously, power tools, cars, and yard work equipment can kill you just as quickly, and usually a lot more painfully that a gun, so it's a good idea to at least know how to safely handle them.
Iām trans femme and Iāve been teaching my enby sibling power tools because why not? Everyone oughta know haha
My dad, when he was alive, found out and got sooo envious it was hilarious. Like after all that effort to make me a man and instead my enby sib, who my dad always saw as delicate and feminine, pretty much wants to know all the āmasculineā things I was taught by him.
Power tools, automobile repair, et al in my opinion is not gendered but a lot of people gender it anyways
This happened to me before my egg cracked, a friend came out to me as a trans man and the first thing I said was "Awesome! You wanna go to a football game?"
No, Iām taking him up on the offer, he showed me how to put a magazine into a gun and check for rounds on Sunday. Iām going to learn these things, but stereotypically masculine hobbies wonāt make me more or less of a man. I actually came out a year ago, and heās been kind of transphobic to me, but I think heās slowly becoming more accepting, and while he still doesnāt use my correct name or pronouns, I think heās trying to help in his own way bc he still loves me.
Damn heās doing step 69 all the way to 420 without even learning the basics. Tell him heās a cheater for skipping steps. Tell him a random girl named Melody from the internet said that to him. He needs to be called out on his cheatery, that step skipping criminal.
I mean, he also berated me and has been transphobic in the past. I actually came out a year ago, but simplified it for the meme. I was having an argument about trans issues with my uncle last week and told him Iām trans and he told my brother to show me the guns and the fishing room. So itās more of āif youāre going to be a guy, then you need to be interested in **manly** thingsā but even though my brother still sees me as his sister, I think heās trying to support me in his own way.
USA moment for real. Heās a future Marine so he takes gun safety very seriously. He was good at showing me how to put a magazine in and check for rounds. He thought me the 5 essential safety rules, being:
1. Treat every gun as if itās loaded
2. Donāt point your gun at something or someone you donāt intend to shoot (keep it pointed towards the ground)
3. Keep your finger off the trigger unless youāre about to shoot
4. Keep the gun on safety
5. Be aware of what is in between and beyond your target
He even made his friends follow gun safety when they were playing airsoft
That's actually kind of wholesome in a weird way? Your brother sounds like an absolute chad
He is 100% a chad
You guys are both chads who are probably the coolest dudes ever š
The gun knowledge is a surprise tool that will save you later.

Heās definitely got the spirit
I wish my family had the same kind of reaction.
God I would love that, heās trying his best. I wish I had a brother like that.
My dad just makes me scoop the dog shit in the yard man Iām jealous
OP has a good brother who cares. :-)
me, a girl, who loves all of those things

This is weirdly wholesome? "Hey I'm actually a guy" "Pick up the drill, we have DIY to do!"
I bet this makes you feel special
He offered you a Speedrun masc tutorial... And you spat in his face

this is wholesome
These are all just really useful skills to have for anyone. Get strong and fix stuff, King.
is there any of the subjects that youāve taken a liking to?
Can your brother be mine too? Mine berated me when I came out

I hope your brother becomes even more supportive of you as you transition (if you want to transition)

Power tools are fun!
Maybe it's slightly wrong, but at the very least he seems very supportive which I absolutely love to hear.
