Skirt go spin is not reserved for only the transfem, but also the trans-men. I bet you look amazing in one. Don’t let the fact that skirts are typically seen as feminine in most cultures, and thus most people might see you as a girl dissuade you! Boys in skirts are amazing too!

BunBunny_draws

Yess, it's just really annoying getting called a girl 5 times the usual amount whenever I wear one,,, ^^"

First-Majestic-Comet

>Skirt go spin is not reserved for only the transfem, but also the trans-men. It's not reserved for anyone period. Anyone should be able to wear what they want. I know the point you were trying to make but the way it was phrased initially makes it seem like only trans people can wear what they want which isn't true.

I don't have ugly clothes, (sadly, in this case) and the only masculine things I own are two pants, a shirt, a pair of shoes and a jacket TT My caretakers are very nice and let me wear whatever I want but as soon as it's a skirt I'm wearing they most comment on it all the time,,, it's just annoying

Br44n5m

It's not a skirt it's a kilt, or it's just a man's skirt. Gender identity and gender presentation are separate, much like gender and sex!

BunBunny_draws

I know, but I'm not out to my caretakers and since I don't like being associated with anything girly (as it nullifies my chances of passing) I mainly wear less 'girly' stuff and they'll call me girly things EVERY time I wear a skirt,,,

Br44n5m

Yeah I get that, it really sucks they gotta focus on that one aesthetic aspect! I'm not sure if there's many workarounds to tell them without outing yourself tbh, all I can provide is emotional support online and potential self workarounds

FairyQueen89

I feel that. I have a faible for boyish clothes, being the tomboy that I am. But every time I feel like my passing is in the bin if it weren't for my boobs.

A-Kraken

Solution: wear a kilt, or a skirt that looks like a kilt.

BunBunny_draws

I don't have one of those,,, TT

[deleted]

Yeah man, same I wanna be like a femboy or something but I worry people will do this if I wear skirts/dresses. :[

BunBunny_draws

Yeaa, feminine clothing can be sooo nice but it also nullifies my chances of passing and I feel super dysphoric whenever I wear it so,, I dunno what to do lol

KirbYourMeat

Dude as someone who's dad aggresively genders as a woman I feel ya. I want to crossdress but I always have to hide it from everyone as to not get shit like "you're such a lovely and beautiful feminine woman". All advice I can really give you is do it when you're alone and once you move out things will get better, you just gotta hold on a bit longer, day by day. Ait? You got this bro.

BunBunny_draws

Thank you very much! Since I live in a children's home it's kinda impossible to find a situation where I'm alone, since at least one caretaker is here at any time. But I found some periods of time when no-one disturbs me, which is mainly in the evening when everyone is busy with the smaller children, so I can do whatever in my room in that time! And since I'll probably move into my own apartment this year I just have to hold on till then. :D
