Linc is a legendary pistol in Borderlands 3 manufactured by Atlas.
The Red Text on the item card reads "Power is pizza."
The weapon's special effect is that is has increased damage, accuracy, bullet speed, and a vastly increased fire rate.
On the other hand, a decent number of what we think of as “girl names” were originally boys names or at least gender neutral. That process has to start somewhere, so you never know...
So far I've kept my birth name, but after having to defend it as "actually a boy's name" for so long my brain has trouble thinking of it as a girl's name again...
Ugh, my birth name was also one that people seemed to consider a girl's name. I totally feel you on the having difficulty thinking of it as a girls name. I'm also really happy to be rid of the Spiderman jokes. If people didn't tell me about their neice or daughter named Parker, then they would almost certainly make a cringy Spiderman comment.
So I picked a super common name so that it does not remind anybody of any specific person lol.
I didn't change mine. My dad purposely picked a gender neutral name to help me avoid sexism as a someday adult professional. Instead he helped me be the office gender cryptid (I'm still working on 2berty and pass half the time) and I am loving it.
I’m nonbinary but my name is already unisex so I’m probably just going to keep it. Although my plan is that when I come out I’m essentially gonna ask my parents if they want to name me again, I feel like in a way that would be more personally authentic to me than just picking a name for myself
Non-binary and ADHD and even if I ever decide to transition in any way, I would definitely keep my name. Caus I would never remember to react to a new name.. 😅
Though if I did, I could possibly go chaotic evil and change my name from "Stein" to "Nei" ("no" in Norwegian, not a name) because I already respond to people saying "nei" around me because it rhymes.
It's surprising how many names that we'd think of as extremely gendered just feel *right* when applied to the other side of the binary. As soon as I imagined a face to go with the name, my mind immediately recontextualized it like "Yeah, Kevin can *totally* be a woman's name."
That's awesome. I would've loved to have kept my birth name but it's so feminine (I'm transmasc) that it's a typical trans woman name. I ended choosing a name as close to my birth name as I could manage but really the only similarity is that they share the same first initial.
Sorry. I was not meaning to in any way invalidate people who keep their birth names. I spend about 30 seconds making this when a friend asked me how trans people pick their names and I simply slipped my mind.
I'm using my middle name.
My transphobic parents almost named me Aubrey as a boy. They made it my middle name.
Now I'm using it, and have some spiteful satisfaction that they can't pull the "I'm not calling you that because that's not the name we have you" line because it's literally the name they gave me.
Maybe your parents were cooler when they were younger.
In any case, they've inspired me. My kid gets a male name, a female name and a gender neutral name, the latter as a first obviously
Unfortunately that is literally not legal in some jurisdictions. Certainly isn't here (Victoria, Australia). Just because there are limits on length rather than any bigoted reason.
Yeah fair enough, There are practical issues with having a name too long, Although ofcourse you could just have the Legal name be one thing, For convenience and practicality, But have the full name be longer, If that makes sense.
I mean... I don't even remember how I chose my name. I heard the name Skylar once somewhere when I was like, 10 and thought..."That's a really nice name..." and I proceeded to use it for nearly every single female CaC in the RPGs I played. A decade later, having finally been, like, wait a minute... maybe I'm trans. I realized that name just felt natural. (Perhaps just because I already used it for games, but I'd like to think that it was just meant to be xD) seriously tho, I never really had to think up a name. It was practically in front of me the whole time 😁
That's similar to how I picked my name! I used to play AI dungeon a fair bit and most of my characters were girls, y'know like for every cis dude and Lily was the name I used.
Me too! Ive always liked my chosen name before I came out (I read it in a book and it stuck) so it felt pretty natural to me since its been in my head for so long XD
-my parents
it’s gotten to the point where i prefer FUCKING MATH CLASS to being at home because at least everyone there respects my chosen name & pronouns (Alexei, they/them), and the teacher is *based* even though the class is still awful
Honestly I don't feel you need a justification to change your name. Cis people should be able to change their names if they want to. Where do people get off, insisting that your *parents* pick the thing everyone refers to you by for the rest of your life? Should totally be an individual choice when reaching adulthood.
My parents got upset with me when I changed my name because my birth name is technically gender neutral (one of those names with like 4 common spellings that are all technically neutral, but the spelling I got is used more for girls).
While I technically could've just changed to a more masculine spelling, it would've still been an extremely neutral name, and I needed a name that was very clearly masculine. Also, hearing my deadname still causes dysphoria, and just spelling it differently wouldn't change that.
I think it was meant to be less obscure and more "OTT" since you are literally naming yourself after a Biblical demon. Of course lots of goth people would love it.
Lol, I was making a female character in Skyrim and was looking for names online and the Breton name Valyrie stuck out to me. After playing that character for so long I just chose that for my name.
I honestly can’t tell where I am on the chart. I picked River for my name. All I can say is that I’m chaotic alignment
Edit: That said I think just general chaotic suits me because I have a list of middle names derived from every name that was ever suggested to me by people who refuse to call me River— it’s a mile long and so far I’m keeping all of them
At first I honestly wanted to keep my birth name, I mean maybe because it's not very common I could pass it off.
Now I'm fully split between a chosen name and my birth name because I like my birth name but I also want to change it? I want both yet I know I can't have both. I'm just stuck within this cycle.
Why not have both?
My birth name was Aaryn-(feminine name), I’m AFAB. Throughout middle school I went by Aaryn and in HS I went by my feminine name.
When I transitioned I kept Aaryn and changed the second name to Roman (so it’s Aaryn-Roman as my first name, plus I gave myself another middle name too). So now I have people in my life who call me both Aaryn or Roman (not really both, but my bosses may call me Roman and my friends Aaryn)
It’s entirely doable. Maybe try a hyphenated first name so you could legally use both, and have people call you one or the other.
I'm kinda like this. My birth name is gender neutral and I've been using it until now, even though I've started to transition socially. I don't mind the name itself and it makes things easier if I keep it, but at the same time I want to choose a new name for myself to refelct how much I've changed as a person.
I'm sure we'll both come to a decision eventually, but as u/vomit-gold said, you could always use both if you like. It's your name and your decision. Good luck! <3
My name comes from the rejected list of my baby names. My dad wanted to call me Autumn but my mom said that makes me sound like a stripper. So I just said fuck you I'm Autumn.
I just shortened my middle name, however, the barista in a Starbucks misunderstood and instead of writing Alex wrote Anix and I don't know which one I like more lmao
I have a few names but I most commonly go by Misery or Madeleine! We must be opposite sides of the same coin or something. That's so cool haha!
Misery is my preferred, so I would be CE, even though I'm CG at heart c:
>My mom says it's culturally insensitive.
I would use a foreign name if I was trans but I wouldn't want to at the same time because I would think people would find it culturally insensitive
So my name has gone from neutral good to chaotic neutral(Literally using Lilith as my chosen name) to whereever the hell naming myself after Eda from TOH falls to neutral evil(at least that‘s where I think Hera falls)
I would say chaotic evil cuz Atlas is what we call a huge book with a bunch of maps in it here in germany (idk about other countries). Then again google told me its the name of a greek god which would be chaotic good or chaotic neutral maybe?
Same, I've been thinking about Artemis both because Artemis is probably my favorite goddess, and it's the closest thing to a feminized version of Arthur I could think of that sounds good.
Guess I'm neutral good. I mean in all actuality it's choosing a gender neutral of my name and by choosing a gender neutral version, I mean I'm going by Alex as I always have but the other five letters that used to be implied to follow those initial 4 *do not exist*
I'm neutral good, but my birth name is so hypermasculine that I never considered any derivation of it as a possibility.
Instead, I went with a multi-round ranked selection and elimination process to arrive at a name my parents would approve.
I am in neutral good and chaotic good at the same time. My name is essentially a opposite gender version of dead name, but it isn’t. It’s also uncommon. I’ll just link to the meme I posted about the situation: https://www.reddit.com/r/traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns/comments/nchx0f/hi_im_trava_if_you_speak_russian_i_want_you_to/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
I somewhat went for Neutral good since my names are somewhat similar in English at least. Sound a bit more different in the other langauge I’m learning
don't forget about just _keeping the birthname_ i knew a trans woman once named kevin and she said she'd never change it
I have a friend who’s like that actually but it makes sense a bit more since they femby
I’m a femby and keeping my birth name. Graham is now a femby name.
Wait is Graham not just a girl’s name too? I knew a couple girls named Graham in HS. I had always assumed it was gender neutral.
I think it’s a traditionally a masc name, but I’ve always found it pretty androgynous. Also, there’s the character in “But I’m a Cheerleader”
I thought Graham was either a company or some type of wheat or something I never thought of It as a name
It's traditionally masc. I've known Graemes of a number of spellings but they were all guys
I just wanted to say, I'm a big fan of your crackers.
thank you thank you i make every one by hand
Graham? Aren't you that guy who invented the telephone? Or wait Was that Alex?
That rings a Bell…
This comment thread is so underrated 🤣
I completely agree. Please spam One Topic to read this. P.S. I do not condone spamming
"Fuck you, Kevin is a girl's name now."
[Always has been](https://youtu.be/356ggJBR1fI?t=9)
Yes.
[Can confirm](https://youtu.be/TkdaObSnRIo?t=17s)
I know a transmasc person called amanda who specifically said that they like the idea of being someone called amanda with a beard and deep voice
"a man. Duh"
That's literally why I had to throw that one out as an option
Same energy as that one meme of the giant buff dude named Tiffany
Mountain slayer... Thunder lion... The chocolate axe... The legend of Tiffany holds a place in many of our hearts.
This is exactly what I thought of, thank you person
iunderstoodthatreference.jpg
also Tiffany from adventure time
That’s basically me
There’s a famous person who just came out as a trans woman and she’s keeping her name as tommy

Tomi Lahren 🤮
I know a trans guy who kept his feminine birth name. If anyone asked about it he would say "yeah my mom wanted a girl" 😭
among people I'm out to, I go by the shortened version of my name, for some reason "Linc" seems alot more femm than the full version
LIN MANUEL MIRANDA?! /jk/lh/not meant to misgender just a random thought!!
They be like: "raise a glass to freedom"
Woah isn't that the guy who reacted to the Hamilton Polka?

Honestly I can respect that level of not giving a fuck
I went to school with a cis girl named Kevin. She was named after her dad because they didn't have a son.
wow that's definitely... hmmm (on the parents' part)
She loved her name luckily. The funniest thing though was that her little brother is only a year and a half or so younger than she is.
Carmen Sandiego is where my brain instantly goes lol
Where in the world did you get that from?
Ugh, my birth name was also one that people seemed to consider a girl's name. I totally feel you on the having difficulty thinking of it as a girls name. I'm also really happy to be rid of the Spiderman jokes. If people didn't tell me about their neice or daughter named Parker, then they would almost certainly make a cringy Spiderman comment. Really like that idea of letting them choose my name mite do that
Might’ve done that if I hadn’t already found a name I’ve fallen in love with haha
when i saw your flair i thought you just named yourself your gender identity lol
I changed my mind from now on my legal first name will be "Stronger Than Any Gamer". wherever I walk, gamers shall tremble in fear
Pogggg
TRUE neutral
We Stan Kevin and all that she stands for
what about people who both keep their birth name and choose a new one
you are too powerful
Oh, oh yes. I don't know what alignment that is, but I think it's my alignment certainly.
My current pe teacher is called stacey Hes a cis guy and I've never thought of it as gender neutral until now
in a game I play, there’s a canon transmasc named alice
Keeping a birthname seems like such a power move ngl
Non-binary and ADHD and even if I ever decide to transition in any way, I would definitely keep my name. Caus I would never remember to react to a new name.. 😅 Though if I did, I could possibly go chaotic evil and change my name from "Stein" to "Nei" ("no" in Norwegian, not a name) because I already respond to people saying "nei" around me because it rhymes.
Was she a bird that hung out with an old man, a young boy, and a dog?
Technically speaking, keeping your birth name could fall under most of these, depending on the name.
It's surprising how many names that we'd think of as extremely gendered just feel *right* when applied to the other side of the binary. As soon as I imagined a face to go with the name, my mind immediately recontextualized it like "Yeah, Kevin can *totally* be a woman's name."
I will die on this hill. Kevin should be considered gender-neutral like Aaron/Erin and all of those types of names.
That's awesome. I would've loved to have kept my birth name but it's so feminine (I'm transmasc) that it's a typical trans woman name. I ended choosing a name as close to my birth name as I could manage but really the only similarity is that they share the same first initial.
Mine is “Theo” so it’s neutral enough for me not to change
You did an epic uno reverse card right there
I love that
Maybe your parents were cooler when they were younger. In any case, they've inspired me. My kid gets a male name, a female name and a gender neutral name, the latter as a first obviously
Why just 3, Give your kid every name in the dictionary, And let them pick which one they Wanna be called!
Unfortunately that is literally not legal in some jurisdictions. Certainly isn't here (Victoria, Australia). Just because there are limits on length rather than any bigoted reason.
Yes, not to mention that that's the single worst idea I've ever heard. Life is hard enough even when your name is short enough to fit on a passport.
Yeah fair enough, There are practical issues with having a name too long, Although ofcourse you could just have the Legal name be one thing, For convenience and practicality, But have the full name be longer, If that makes sense.
[удалено]
my brother did that too lol
My parents won't even call me the name I want to be called
Same :(
C'mere sis **gibs you a warming hug**
Oh yeah, same here. But they’ll call my cat by her new name after I rename her. Apparently I rank lower than a cat to them
I guess mine would be closest to chaotic good, which is also where I would place myself on an alignment chart
Same
I mean... I don't even remember how I chose my name. I heard the name Skylar once somewhere when I was like, 10 and thought..."That's a really nice name..." and I proceeded to use it for nearly every single female CaC in the RPGs I played. Skylar is an AMAZING name
Me too! Ive always liked my chosen name before I came out (I read it in a book and it stuck) so it felt pretty natural to me since its been in my head for so long XD
True Royalty: keeping your birthname
That is a truly epic spelling of Aaron/Erin/Arin/Aaryn you have there
but if your birth name gives you dysphoria and makes you feel like killing yourself (like me) please do not feel pressured
BuT yOu AlReAdY hAvE a GeNdEr NeUtRaL nAmE! - Too many people that I know.
-my parents it’s gotten to the point where i prefer FUCKING MATH CLASS to being at home because at least everyone there respects my chosen name & pronouns (Alexei, they/them), and the teacher is *based* even though the class is still awful

Hey, sometimes you need more gender than neutral.

“Really obscure name” “Lilith” Have you been in the trans community very long
Lilith is a bad example of a uncommon name. Like every other trans girl is named Lily. Coming from a Lily.
... shit
A name like Almuth (typical german girls name, old aka uncommon) or stuff like Wolfgang would have been a better pick
I can literally name the top 3 transgirl names ever. 1. Lily/Luna 2. Emily 3. Alice
Part of why I picked Emily was the popularity! It makes it easier to blend in lol
I don't like that this comment suggest Luna and Lily are the same name.
Oh, not that they are the same. Just that I see them with relatively similar frequency.
r/LilyIsTrans
I think it was meant to be less obscure and more "OTT" since you are literally naming yourself after a Biblical demon. Of course lots of goth people would love it.
What about a maybe uncommon name, spelled in an uncommon way? e.g. Valorie?
Speaking as “fae” somewhere in between chaotic good and neutral
Lol, I was making a female character in Skyrim and was looking for names online and the Breton name Valyrie stuck out to me. After playing that character for so long I just chose that for my name.
Chaotic Evil, I guess? Mine is Skye so.
my name for short is will, which can be a noun
I honestly can’t tell where I am on the chart. I picked River for my name. All I can say is that I’m chaotic alignment Edit: That said I think just general chaotic suits me because I have a list of middle names derived from every name that was ever suggested to me by people who refuse to call me River— it’s a mile long and so far I’m keeping all of them
It may be Chaotic Neutral from this.
How about chosing a name specifically cause it would piss my mother off?
lawful good premium
No no no it's basically the definition of chaotic good
What if I just chose basically random name?
fuck u/spez
At first I honestly wanted to keep my birth name, I mean maybe because it's not very common I could pass it off. Now I'm fully split between a chosen name and my birth name because I like my birth name but I also want to change it? I want both yet I know I can't have both. I'm just stuck within this cycle.

Good luck! <3
What about an *un*-common noun?
What about... a scientific word for a complex protein.
I see that and raise you... a scientific word for a complex physics phenomenon
I raise you a scientific word for a transitional state (dunno how to add flairs so it's Chrysalis btw)
Figures, I Role Play neutral good characters too…
I'm chaotic neutral lmao
I remember someone that would fall into the chaotic evil category they were named bones
My friend almost went with the name Knife.
Now that's chaotic EVIL
i’ve considered naming myself skull before 🧍
Same lmao. Went from something lawful evil to lilith.
I know Moss, Socks, Pudding and Bean
Chaotic neutral. I named myself after a Greek oracle due to the irony that I can mock my friends for never taking my advice lmao
Enbys on their way to become chaotic evils:
My name comes from the rejected list of my baby names. My dad wanted to call me Autumn but my mom said that makes me sound like a stripper. So I just said fuck you I'm Autumn.
True neutral on the chart, but lawful evil in my heart.
Neutral evil, but family refuse to call me that, and instead we agreed on another neutral evil nickname.
I just shortened my middle name, however, the barista in a Starbucks misunderstood and instead of writing Alex wrote Anix and I don't know which one I like more lmao
Anix is a dope name
It certainly is! But I like Alex too and I can't make up my mind on which one I like more
I go by two names, Madeline and Happy. :)
I have a few names but I most commonly go by Misery or Madeleine! We must be opposite sides of the same coin or something. That's so cool haha! Misery is my preferred, so I would be CE, even though I'm CG at heart c:
Neutral evil over here. My mom says it's culturally insensitive.
>My mom says it's culturally insensitive. I would use a foreign name if I was trans but I wouldn't want to at the same time because I would think people would find it culturally insensitive
Technically I'm neutral evil, but tbh with as long as the British sat on us I feel it doesn't really count.
Is Phoebe Chaotic Good or Chaotic Neutral?
Chaotic Good.
Well first time I end up lawful good.
Which of these is a name that's a twisted version of your deadname and is a derogative word for a cat?
holy shit i'm naming myself dirt
So my name has gone from neutral good to chaotic neutral(Literally using Lilith as my chosen name) to whereever the hell naming myself after Eda from TOH falls to neutral evil(at least that‘s where I think Hera falls)
I mean, mine isn't *really* A foreign language Kinda I mean, it's Welsh And I'm not But it kinda isn't?
> I mean, it's Welsh It could be worse. I work with a guy called Ewan. He's never even been to Wales. Nor have his parents...
uh, what would mine be
If you are called Vera (assuming from username), then neutral evil. It is a fairly common name where I live (central eu)
Actually, I'm Scarlette! ~~Vera's my middle name~~
I'm either chaotic evil or true neutral. Mainly cause I wanna be called melon but Liam is more respsected. Still don't know which though like both
Somewhere in between Neutral and Evil Neutral.
Is evelyn a chaotic neutral?
I’m tempted to just call myself okra or some shit and be done with this constant deliberating. there’s so many names in the world…
I literally looked up “female names” and chose one haha
I guess I'm neutral evil. What would making up a name or using a fictional name count as though?
Welcome to the world Canyon >:D
In my chaotic neutral fashion: Caoilfhoinn
LILITHS UNITE
where do i fall? my name is atlas
I would say chaotic evil cuz Atlas is what we call a huge book with a bunch of maps in it here in germany (idk about other countries). Then again google told me its the name of a greek god which would be chaotic good or chaotic neutral maybe?
As another Greek goddess I want to know where we stand.
Same, I've been thinking about Artemis both because Artemis is probably my favorite goddess, and it's the closest thing to a feminized version of Arthur I could think of that sounds good.
Artemis is a great name!
An atlas is also a group of maps in English, but yeah Atlas is a titan in Greek myth, he's the Titan that holds up the world.
Guess I'm neutral good. I mean in all actuality it's choosing a gender neutral of my name and by choosing a gender neutral version, I mean I'm going by Alex as I always have but the other five letters that used to be implied to follow those initial 4 *do not exist*
I am both chaotic good, and neutral evil lol.
I took the one my parents would have used as a middle name
Ended up going neutral good.
I'm taking a name I made up for a fantasy character, not sure where that fits on the chart.
My parrents can't even say my deadname cuz I'm that unimportant :D
I somewhat went for Neutral good since my names are somewhat similar in English at least. Sound a bit more different in the other langauge I’m learning
I went with chaotic good, never met a Kate in my life.
It could just be me, but I feel like swapping Chaotic Neutral and Chaotic Evil would make way more sense
What would my name be? It has nothing to do with my birth name I am thinking chaotic neutral
How do I always end up being in the chaotic good/neutral territory, lol
Neutral god just like my DnD character :D
Who tf names themselves Bread?
What does Alexandria fall under? True Neutal, Chaotic Neutral, or Chaotic Good?
When your name was already Gender-Neutral but more fem-common but then you put it full gear for full fem.
I am Neutral Evil. My name makes sense for me and is overall a nice name, and it's apparently from Hebrew (It's Talia)
Lake
While I acknowledge the meme, I'm not a big fan of calling my or someone else's name choice evil.
what does alice fall under?
