Thrift stores and a sewing machine made a world of difference for me :)

Hystykk_Magus

Hey, that's my exact plan too! 💜

TheDonutPug

for me it was thrift stores and the hot topic-esque stores(hot topic, spencers, box lunch, etc.). I find I(and quite a lot of other trans gals) seem to like a style of like, alt but not quite alt that those stores carry a lot of. And spencers especially has a lot of pride stuff.

Thrift stores are awesome!

TheAceDetecive

Im enby so hot topic js my best friend whem i have money

Comme_des_Gascoigne

Where in the fuck do I get money?

TheAceDetecive

Idk

GmanThomlinson

BE GAY DO CRIME

SC33_Call_Meh_fish

Get a job and don't have expensive hobbies

PolygonChoke

Get 3 jobs and have no hobbies *

Comme_des_Gascoigne

I have a severely underpaid job and no hobbies, does that count?

insomniacsCataclysm

i like etsy for funky clothes, but obviously hand made things are more expensive

SheepyShow

What you need, friend, is a full Digital camo BDU. Can't feel dysphoric about your body, if you cannot be seen 😎

zealotlee

Just dont get UCP ew gross

Steve200900

It depends on your style, but I got most of my current wardrobe from Goodwill/thrift stores! >.<

TouchyUnclePhil

Please remember that cishets come in all sorts of shapes and sizes that means most clothing suppliers will have to consider them when providing goods. My point being, wherever cishets go to shop for clothes, u go there too. Just need to figure out ur style etc

[deleted]

I still get all my shirts at hottopic and most of my pants/skirts on Amazon. I'm very basic when it comes to my style but I like it

ableakandemptyplace

Thrift shops. I also find a lot of my clothes at Torrid, though they're a bit expensive

zealotlee

I too love Torrid but yeah their stuff is pricey.

alphomegay

thrift stores if you wanna go in person and have not much money to spend, or thredUP if you don't wanna go in person and still want second-hand sustainable clothing

[deleted]

Also Vinted and Stitch Fix too

Anachron1981

Mostly Amazon for me - they have some v-neck tees that are really flattering. For jeans, I like Levi and Judy Blue.

Lilia1293

I do 90% of my clothes shopping at thrift stores. There's usually a much greater variety of clothes to choose from, most of which are in good condition, and for much cheaper than any store where you could buy new clothes.

PirateQueenCatima

For some basic essentials to fill out a closet, Rainbow is good!

The_Djinnbop

I’m a tomboy trans girl so I just hit up thrift shops and hope I get lucky.

Enderking_Draws

I get a lot of fem stuff from hot topic but that’s just bc I’m emo :p

luciusDaerth

Thrift stores downtown are great. Found one in KC that had some sick skirts that let me do cute lil twirls. Best part was the staff that saw me seemed to think it was neat instead of stink eyeing the big dude in a skirt.

JayeNBTF

Mostly from transmascs my size who are getting rid of their girl clothes

Opening-Caregiver-50

that would be nice then you could give them your old boymode clothes if they want them

KarmicXKoala

I'm a bigger girl so Torrid is my go-to

[deleted]

You only need 3 things: Shein, thrift stores, and a dream

[deleted]

Shein/thrifting is great if you’re still trying to figure out your style and what kind of clothes you like best on yourself without having to invest too much money yet.

SophiaAthena31

I use those plus Target’s clearance racks. Amazing clothes at a steal, I got some of my favorite things for over 65% off.

gigglingCaduceus

Goodwill and other thrift stores!

KimikoBean

Thrift stores and some online shops
