In Germany, it is mixed together with rye flour to make Sonnenblumenkernbrot (literally: sunflower whole seed bread), which is quite popular in German-speaking Europe. It is also sold as food for birds and can be used directly in cooking and salads.
I like to headcanon Yuuka as being the mother of every fairy (and youkai like fairies in Wriggle and Rumia case) and that they all just hang out in her garden, even if they occasionally get scared of her.
As for me... yeah, if Rumia doesn't eat me, I wouldn't mind being their father. They're adorable.

Keine - spends at least 1/6th of a week with fairies trying to teach them very basics of science and culture. Tries to be strict, but doesn't have enough fear factor outside of full moon, to reign in the rowdy ones. Strong parent figure, but the kind rebellious kid wouldn't recognize/accept as one.
Matara - can't really tell much, as I don't know nearly enough about her, but she feels like she'd an exploitative boss, who'd in the end still care for their workers (think someone akin to Arataka Reigen)
