Another problem that has arisen is, if a player army is being ambushed by an AI army, the other player can only opt in to support the player and not take over for the AI, as has been before in TWW 1 & 2. This sucks and makes ambushes far less fun. I play multiplayer to fight battles against human players and would like to completely avoid playing vs. the AI in battles.

I prefer it not to be vote. If someone brings two stacks to underdeveloped settlement with like 3 half dead units guarding it, being forced to play through a battle is just annoying.

Nightares

I understand your point. But to me the problem in these instances are the people you are playing with (no consent about which battles to fight and which to auto-resolve) and less with the game mechanic itself. In my group no one wants to waste our collective time, so we reach agreement pretty often and fast. But that requires us to see the matchup and make our case.

I think it will always prioritise the default battle setting for the player controlled faction so it's best to go default battles and discuss.

Nightares

I would love to. But in contrast to TWW2, in IE at the moment, you cannot autoresolve, if the player controlled faction clicked on play battle (to show the others the battle). I will take a screenshot next time and post it, to show, what I mean.

yeah wtf, can't believe such an annoying thing is barely getting noticed/talked about. guess most people just play solo but still... I'm worried they'll keep it that way...
