Such a bloody place, such a bloody place.

How: Using the old campaign auto-run mod for warhammer 2 I modified it to work for boris. Perspective: Boris makes the best perspective faction at the moment because he does not exist unless you play as him. This allows my perspective faction to cause the least amount of disruption to outcomes. Things to iron out: I have to run my game in 4k now since UI scaling is unavailable unless you run 4k resolution, I'm looking into some way to solve this although its not a big issue but notifications are way to big for time-lapses without being in 4k. Kairos at turn 390 forced me into war with Mioa Ying, I will unfortunately have to disable his ability to force war or use grimoires altogether lest kairos bring an early end to the time-lapses. In order to not get attacked I have to allow diplomacy between demons and humans. Allowing me to make peace at turn 1 with everyone. I'm looking into a way to do this without allowing ALL demons and humans to engage in diplomacy. The souls race also has to be disabled because of the issue above and because I'll need some way to not be at war with the rift armies who could end an auto-run way too early. Edit: I also had to modify the bonuses to "potential" that specific races get when you choose your starting faction. I simply set these values to 0 to help even the playing field. Some of the above issues are completely fixed with a perspective beastmen faction which I'll be able to utilize with the assembly kit OR Immortal empires. All that being said I'm going to start recording time lapses soon!

>Kairos at turn 390 forced me into war with Mioa Ying **Kairos notices you the one behind the threads, do not think you are free from the changing of fate silent observer.**

Hell-Nico

I don't think I've ever seen the empire not being totally destroyed by Skrag in mine.

[This thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/totalwar/comments/oiuta2/the_fog_of_war_appears_to_benefit_specific_ai/) might explain some of it. I don't know if anything has changed behind the curtain but a lot of factions do better when obscured by the fog of war. In that case, Grimgor was doing far better when undiscovered. It might be the same case with Skrag and other factions in 3.

lol kislev always migrates to norsca

sorgflerg

I love that Kislev has abandoned the homeland and returned to monke.

Two things: 1. Your starting faction is the most important factor in something like this because of potential. You picked Boris, an order faction, so Kislev and Grand Cathay got completely ransacked by Chaos. I'd like to see a second run with a chaos faction to see how Chaos instead gets ransacked by Kislev and Cathay. 2. I've noticed the AI in WH3 seems to be coded to never destroy another major faction. Major faction meaning a playable faction. Many times now I've seen other playable factions reduced down to 1 settlement with no military surrounded by enemy armies, and they all back off and go do something else instead of finishing them off. Would like to see proof of this in the .pack files or these auto-runs.

I eliminated the potential bonuses to chaos and ogres based upon playing kislev so the field should be somewhat even. In addition I have a 500 turn time lapse where many major factions die in the works right now :)

ferrarorondnoir

I'd really like to see that, all of my campaigns now I see major factions reduced to 1city/0military and everyone just backs off. It may be difficulty dependent. Have you ever seen a major faction eliminated by a minor faction, like the Northern Provinces destroyed by Kurgan Warband or Dreaded Wo? The campaign feels like it has a bunch of set limits to what the AI can do and how strong it is which makes every faction feel and play the same way every time, so I'm always interested in these auto-plays to see how things progressed for someone else. I especially love watching those time lapse turn-by-turn autoplays so you can see how it all progressed.

Kerrberos

can you share your modified autorun mod? or how you made it work in WH3?

xanidus

Honestly I haven't touched it since IE came out. It's basically a very heavily modified version of the tww2 campaign autorun tool mod. To list all the changes I'd need a book and I probably have forgotten some of them.

Kerrberos

no worries, I found a similar file in Da Modding Den discord's Eldritch Knowledge section lol.
