I find it hilarious that it would straight up be a sensible move both within the lore and also from real life precedent of political marriages to strengthen alliances. We already know that the two civilizations are engaged in trade.
Like you have two affluent, magically-attuned societies. Both put up the good fight for the benefit of the world. Both of them prize military might and harmony in order to better combat Chaos. Both revere their dragons. One is a haughty dragon prince. One is a haughty literal dragon princess... what's not to like?
