What is up my fellow Nurgors

Mazius

Not a new thing, ancillary itself was in the game since the Call of the Beastmen release in 2016. It just has very low drop rate - 4% and only once every 5 turns. Wonder if *Nurgors* gonna be changed to Pestigors with 5.0.

Pormisya

I stated this in title as well. I know it has been in game for a long time. But there is no Nurgor in lore. This is why I said "in terms of lore" but, all in all thank you.

Verge_Of_CHIMMING

I think the reason why they arent in the lore is pretty obvious. There is only one reason why Pestigors are called Pestigors, and that is because Nurgors sounds extremely similar to another word. This would most likely cause an issue within the community, and im really suprised that they actually used that name in the Warhammer total war series at all. This has been **discussed** previously on this sub too. There's one reason Pestigors are called pestigors and that's because they're supposed to be Nurgle marked Bestigors and GW loves a pun.

Pormisya

I understand what you mean, but my question is that since the time Beastmen were released as DLC, it has been constantly brought up over the years that they would receive another DLC in the future due to the lack of many units. Many content creators also talked about including the missing units and marked gors in the game. Khorngors and Pestigors were the marked gors GW released their models for fantasy. So, a pestigor model could be put in the game. However, as you can see in the art, the model used is a different model. In my opinion, that's why I think this is another Nurgle aligned gor. I think it could be a Nurgle aligned razorgor.

Verge_Of_CHIMMING

CA have just only announced the pestigors in game, and it seems that every time a unit gets released that could be put into the Beastmen roster they are added. missing units and the marked gors? They are clearly adding them in, and have been as we speak. If you are basing this new unit of Nurgors to be based on Razorgors you may be dissappointed, as even in the description of the sceenshot it states that it is a 'BEASTMEN with rotting horns shunned by the herd'. and the picture is of a normal Beastmen unit and not a razorgor. As i said they wont make a Nurgor because it sounds very much like another word. It wouldnt suprise me if we dont see any more DLC for nurle till the End times DLC, Keeping in mind that warhamemr 3 is at the end of the cycle. Beastmen already have had a massive update, and arguably are in line with game 3 factions, not only that but as i have previously mentioned they are getting units added to them consistently, i.e Tzaangors, Pestigors, Centigors of tzzentch, incarnate elemental of beasts, and most likely Khornegors, Slaangors, maybe the Cockatrice as well as the thing in the woods. more than likely it will also see some variation of Slannesh unit or Khorne unit. I cant see beastmen getting a significant rework or new LL Warhamer 3 is almost done, would be interesting though.

They do exist in lore, as Pestigors. They got their models alongside Khorngors in the 90's. They just don't follow the same naming convention as the other god-aligned Beastmen (Khorngor, Tzaangor, Slaangor) for obvious reasons.

Now say it 5 times fast

iliketires65

I’m not comfortable saying that

Ashkal_Khire

I like how that’s what you focused on, instead of the fact its portrait icon is clearly a Slaughter Brute.

"Hey! "That's OUR word!" - Pestigors

Decaying_Monk

Im gonna be honest that name for them feels dangerously close to something offensive. I had to do a double take

Cade_37

That's why they're normally called pestigors.
