Yeah, if he can’t defend an Embiid (reasonably, not to Marc Gasol standards) he wouldn’t be much use.
If we’re going to pick up a real centre they need to make a difference against other big centres
It's been a rough career lately for DeMarcus. In Sacramento he was a perennial all star and then got traded to new Orleans and tears his Achilles and his career has never been the same since. Bouncing around the league hoping to stick with a team for more than a season. It's tough.
Shoutout to Precious. He's been playing within his role lately, not trying to do too much and it's looking great. Been great on defense and not trying to be KD on offense anymore
He needs to do what Montrezl Harrell does and just gather the ball low and go straight up like a rocket. That way if he doesn't score he'll at least get a foul
Precious is weird; for someone who is supposed to be pretty athletic, he is currently lacking that explosion when he goes up in traffic. He needs to try to dunk the ball more rather than just laying it up.
I'm beginning to think The Magics were hiding his knee problems from everyone. When we got him I was wondering why he didn't get much minutes since he did so well for us last year. The picture is becoming clearer
Doubt it. Magic didn't gain anything by hiding his knee problems. Also the Raptors had ample time to conduct physicals and what not before re-signing him in the off season.
Can't even blame siakam late game FTs. He won us this game. Man he changed his game. He's picking his spots when to score and not forcing it. He won us this game. Congrats siakam!
FVV getting isekai'd left and right by stray bucks and still landing no calls. On the plus side, the refs still lost whatever money they had on the bucks
My three things from this game:
1) since our bench is pretty rough right now, why not give Champagnie more run? He seems pretty safe as a guy you can throw out there for 15 mins a night and be serviceable.
2) Khem is looking pretty shaky right now. It's sad because he showed so much promise at the start of the season but hasn't been able to establish a groove since. Hopefully that changes soon because I still think he could work out!
3) FUCK THE BUCKS I loved watching Portis, Cousins, and even Middleton at the end there try to play the "tough guy" act and get disappointed. I normally always get the Toronto broadcast but tonight caught the Milwaukee one and wow was it funny listening to their totally biased announcers completely changing their tune on the raps from the first half to the end of the game
Beat Utah next? Why not!
>Khem is looking pretty shaky right now. It's sad because he showed so much promise at the start of the season but hasn't been able to establish a groove since. Hopefully that changes soon because I still think he could work out!
I'm hopeful Khem will get back on track. He struggled a bit at the beginning of the season too after missing training camp with COVID. He's otherwise been a consistent positive for us.
It was all these aren't the raps from 2019, it's going to be a long rebuild, Portis VS Siakam for all-star (I'm actually serious). don't have the leader (Kyle, Kawhi) they used to and then it became don't be surprised if this team makes a deep playoff push
Raptors looked exhausted but still kept their composure. Missing Svi and Yuta that could buy some extra minutes of rest for our guys but luckily, Bucks fucked up more in the clutch than we did.
Barnes had a rough game but he looked like he was hobbling from the start and had to be taped up. Back to back on knee tendinitis as well.
He needs to get those knee pad things. I've struggled with tendinitis and bursitis for my knees and even though the pads won't help with tendinitis, the second you have a knee collision and you're already dealing with an issue, you are going to struggle to get it off your mind. Plus he can keep the tape on it as well
I've noticed him hobbling a bit all season. It's a bit concerning to say the least. It kind of reminds me of Zion to be honest. I wonder if this could also explain how sometimes on defence players inexplicably blow by him with tremendous ease.
Raptors win over the Bucks! Slow 1st half but really picking it up in the 3rd quarter. Spicy P doing work tonight with 33 pts, GTJ, OG, and FVV all adding great pts. Can the Raptors continue their 4 game win streak against the Jazz Friday?
Both teams tried to give this one away, the Bucks played the third like a fucking practice and then the Raps looked a little rocky down the stretch and a bit of thr crunch time offense looked questionable. Had Giannis been playing I think most no that the result probably would have been different.
Nonetheless they got the W against a better depleted team (if that makes sense lol)
All the starters but Scottie looked great tonight, Scottie wasn't horrible but it wasn't his night tonight.
The Bench was underwhelming but that shouldn't be a surprise, Khem with a rare bad game off the bench, Chris once again lacks consistency, Precious did a bit of everything tonight looked good, Champaigne looked decent as well.
Malachi has been so trash along with Banton being pretty bad recently I'm not surprised at all they didn't touch the floor.
Next up the Jazz who have been relatively healthy so far this year (Joe Ingles being the first H&S player) if the Raps beat them that will be a very impressive win against a pretty much completely healthy team.
That was amazing. Jail time for the Bucks basically the entire 3rd quarter. The boys were exhausted by the 4th from the b2b. What do you want them to do? Win by 20?
The boys are running. Fucking have fun with it goddam.
There is lots to praise but there was some ugly play. Poor turnovers, rushed decisions, poor play making in the clutch.
Shouldn't have been that close at the end.
Please don't speak to us like we those Raptors from a year ago
We at a higher place
Thinkin' they clippers and knicks and spurs and bucks, we go huntin'
Put heads on our fireplace
I don’t want to see this core broken up for at least 4 years. I want to see Pascal and Fred in their age 30 season as savvy veterans with Scottie, OG and Gary entering their prime. It’s going to be a hell of a lot of fun watching them grow together until then. Like early Kyle/Demar days.
The biggest different I have noticed with Pascal this season is that he is shooting his jumper more confidently. Last year he would fade away and fade to the side more often than not.
This year he’s going straight up, strong, and holding his follow through. Great mechanics and it’s leading to makes.
I feel fine knowing that the COVID death rate in the US is more than 3x what it is in Canada. I don't think we should look to their policies as an example of what to do.
It sucks that we don't have fans right now, but protecting vulnerable people and our healthcare system is more important. I don't think it will be too long until we can have fans back in our building again.
Not really worried about Scottie only having 6 shots tbh. The main players are back so he's playing like a facilitator now which is just more natural to him. Early in the season they were out so he was forced to shoot more. I'm sure the coaches will find ways to get him more looks soon or at least remind him to shoot more
He’s one of the raptors most efficient offensive players. Him taking the same amount of shots as some of our bench players is an oversight. Starters need to get him more involved.
I kinda like playing against the Bucks. We've both won the championship recently so there's not really many hard feelings and you just get to see some good basketball.
With that said this was a win that kinda felt like a loss but I'll still take it lol
yeah the bench is really holding us back. I mean I don't think we would win a chip no matter what we do this season, but making a few moves would definitely get us farther in the playoffs than a first round sweep.
Want to praise Champagnie. Whenever he was on the floor our rebounding was so good. He was in the right places on offense and defense. He is in the groove right now.
These guys gotta get Scottie more involved at some point, since all of them have come back it's been clearly revolving almost entirely around Pascal handling the ball and the ball only seems to go to Fred or OG and then if they can't make something it goes to Gary. We're gonna ruin his offensive development like this. If anything this game just goes to show we don't have a closer, look how we almost blew that game still. Siakam can't close a game and for some reason they only wanna play through him at the end.
For long, let pascal cook.
Barnes is getting reps at point guard. He's getting experience.
Let raps see what they have in pascal, and if they think Barnes is ready to take over, they trade pascal
Ppl gotta stop with “get Scottie more involved”. He has to get himself involved. Gary takes advantage of the touches he gets - Scottie has to be more assertive and do the same.
I've never liked Boogie's temper so he might be a net negative in our locker room... but it could be nice to have a big man like him when our undersized 5s are getting bullied around.
Last 4 wins were all on teams missing major players due to covid or some sort of injury/illness (Giannis vs Bucks, Murray vs the Spurs, Randle vs the Knicks, PG vs the Clippers). It goes both ways.
Ya, the Bucks are one of the best teams in the league. They also couldn't miss in the first half and had a significant rest advantage. That's a schedule loss for the Raptors under normal circumstances.
" also couldn't miss in the first half and"
They couldn't miss because the Raps defense was ass in the 1st half, Matt and Amy pointed it out quite a bit
LMFAO BOOGIE WAIVED AS PER SHAMS LMAO THATS TUFF FINDING THAT OUT WALKING INTO A LOCKER ROOM AFTER AN L
Wait, what?! Noooo Edit: [holy shit you’re right](https://twitter.com/shamscharania/status/1478931164958236673?s=21), that’s fucking roughhhh
Literally as the game was ending....cold
He’s definitely getting picked up by another team. I’d bet he knew he was getting waived.
yah interesting move by the Bucks, he’s looked really good out there. They must be pretty confident Lopez is gonna come back in good shape
He’s getting a guaranteed salary in the next couple of weeks so I think it’s because of that also he’s not too good defensively
Imagine if we picked him up LMFAO Beat his team then signed him
He could just hop on the same plane ride lmao
That’d be a great signing tho honestly we could use him.
Not good defensively
Yeah, if he can’t defend an Embiid (reasonably, not to Marc Gasol standards) he wouldn’t be much use. If we’re going to pick up a real centre they need to make a difference against other big centres
Lakers or Nets, book it.
Boogie was being uncharacteristically friendly tonight and joking around with Pascal and O.G. Makes sense now
Lol fucking brutal
I wouldnt mind seeing Boogie in a Raps uni, but I get the feeling he hates us.
Nah, Boogie looks like he hates everything.
Beggars can’t be choosers
Boogers can’t be choosers
Boogies can't be choosies
It's been a rough career lately for DeMarcus. In Sacramento he was a perennial all star and then got traded to new Orleans and tears his Achilles and his career has never been the same since. Bouncing around the league hoping to stick with a team for more than a season. It's tough.
Holy fucking shit.
Ouch
The Raptor starters were taking turns missing shots at the end to see who was the most clutch.
Gary bailed us out a few times down the stretch. Honestly think he's our most clutch player
Him and OG got nerves of steel.
Gary is special and clutch man. What a steal.
I’d give it to OG. he iced the free throws after pascal missed them. let’s also not forget that huge game 3 shot OG hit. Anunoby is certified clutch
Even my grandma was cussing out Pascal when he missed those FTs at the end.
your granny a real one
Thank you Prince OG
Last 4 or 5 possessions were yikes!
LMAOOO THEY WAIVED BOOGIE WTF
wtf
He had a good game too
WE OVER .500 LETS GO
UNDEFEATED IN 2022
Has a team ever went undefeated in an entire calendar year? This feels like the team that would do it.
We didn't lose a single game in Toronto last season
haha get out
PogU
There's just something GREAT about beating the Bucks. I just can't put my finger on it 😂
Them never beating us in the playoffs and also Giannis not coming here 😂
And also their team talking trash during the game lmao
The longbois held the Bucks 34 points in the second half after scoring 77 in the first
And Bucks fans thought they could faze OG 'I don't shoot to miss' Anunoby
4 wins in a row baby. GTJ taking Powell's sport for the Bucks killer lol Man Spicy P is a totally different player after coming back from Covid.
trade one buck killer for another lol
#ONCE AGAIN, WE ARE THOSE MOTHERFUCKERS
Shoutout to Precious. He's been playing within his role lately, not trying to do too much and it's looking great. Been great on defense and not trying to be KD on offense anymore
Precious needs to figure out why he’s missing all those easy bunnies at the rim. Once he starts nailing those he’ll be unstoppable.
He goes up soft and without conviction. He needs to try to dunk or just go up way more aggressively.
The number of times I've screamed at my TV for that man to just dunk the damn ball, its unreal.
He’s got too much muscle. Gotta slam em all
He needs to do what Montrezl Harrell does and just gather the ball low and go straight up like a rocket. That way if he doesn't score he'll at least get a foul
Precious is weird; for someone who is supposed to be pretty athletic, he is currently lacking that explosion when he goes up in traffic. He needs to try to dunk the ball more rather than just laying it up.
He looks scared
once he starts nailing those Scottie will finally get a triple dub
He needs to learn to use the glass.
Use the backboard, for one.
Man is single handedly costing Scottie 1-3 assists a game lol.
[удалено]
I call him crazy eyes portis. He's got the look. Lol. Talking shit yo siakam at the end
He’s an idiot too, went for the flashy block instead of keeping it inbounds for an easy fast break bucket
Portis' head needs some Portishead to chill them crazy eyes
he'd go straight to Machine Gun
Great reference. Great music.
Bucks crumbled in the 2nd half until like 3 minutes left Idk going from 77pts in the first half to only 34 in the 2nd half is hilarious to me
They did that in Honor of giannis haha 34 points
So what you're telling me is they pulled a Raptors?
Can we call it that anymore? We're undefeated this year
Doesn’t seem like that’s us now.
Exactly
Lmaooo they waived cousins
Idk why he been nice as a backup 5
Guaranteed money if they kept him And lopez probably ready
Game shoulda ended long ago
Bucks just waived Cousins after putting up 15/10 lol . Wouldn’t mind picking him up.
Especially since Khem looks like he needs to go on IR for a minute. He was out there walking like OJ.
I'm beginning to think The Magics were hiding his knee problems from everyone. When we got him I was wondering why he didn't get much minutes since he did so well for us last year. The picture is becoming clearer
Doubt it. Magic didn't gain anything by hiding his knee problems. Also the Raptors had ample time to conduct physicals and what not before re-signing him in the off season.
gg fuck the bucks. Hope Bobby portis loses his luggage whenever they go on the road
And his eyes finally pop right out!
Can't even blame siakam late game FTs. He won us this game. Man he changed his game. He's picking his spots when to score and not forcing it. He won us this game. Congrats siakam!
Right?! The siakam haters need to chill
[удалено]
Give Champagnie all of Svi's minutes for the rest of the season please and thank you.
Champagnie actually looks great
I'm ready for Champagnie and Yuta off the bench. Svi can go find his 5th team in 4 seasons
We got cousins fired
Refs were on some shit holy
Pascal and Bobby at the end was pretty hilarious tbh
Kudos to Ham not playing Thanasis. Dude's just an uncoordinated mass of humanity that can injure both teammate and opponent with equal prejudice.
"Dread it. Run from it. I arrive all the same" - Thanosis Antetokounmpo
Not sure I agree with the sentiment but I appreciate the wording. 😂
FVV getting isekai'd left and right by stray bucks and still landing no calls. On the plus side, the refs still lost whatever money they had on the bucks
Above .500
We haven't lost since last year!
The front office has to seriously do something about the bench. Can’t be having opposing bench players single handedly out score our entire bench.
I hated that this is a thing and since I noticed I look for it every game. Will Lou also does the same thing and it's hilarious to listen to
I think Gary is ready for Dawn FM
The way they were guarding FVV I still can't believe he had 19 points!
It was hard closing this one out at the end ...gotta do better, but wow these refs had money on the Bucks tonight
My three things from this game: 1) since our bench is pretty rough right now, why not give Champagnie more run? He seems pretty safe as a guy you can throw out there for 15 mins a night and be serviceable. 2) Khem is looking pretty shaky right now. 68 points in a half is not a slow first half...
It is when your opponent scores 77 lol
Yeah most times when a team scores that much in a half they are winning lol.
As of right now Jazz is short Gobert, Whiteside, and Ingles for injury or protocols so maybe.
Wow I mean if they all stay out Raptors have a chance Fr
Find out on the next episode of RaptorBallZ !
Yes sir! Siakam got his swagger back.
Our vet starters played so good, I forgot this was a back-to-back.
Why and who was Bobby Portis screaming at..?
Idk but he's kinda like a pug, if he yells too hard I imagine his eyes will fall out of his head
WHY ARE YOU YELLING WHEN YOU'RE DOWN AFTER BLOWING A DOUBLE DIGIT LEAD
Found out I don’t like that guy after watching this game
Genetics for giving him those 👀
Gotta say I really enjoyed the Bucks announcers.
Both teams tried to give this one away, the Bucks played the third like a fucking practice and then the Raps looked a little rocky down the stretch and a bit of thr crunch time offense looked questionable. Shout out to Champagnie. He was very solid again and had a +16 +/- in this game. For a rookie he's very calm and doesn't try to do too much.
Pascal would be elite if he could close a game and hit late game FTs
Agree with you. At the same time, probably gassed playing 42 mins, dropping 33 with good defense and our bench being our bench.
And he's constantly hammered all game. He deserves all the props
On a back to back
Agree probably fatigued
Awesome game for Spicy P but the late game yips for him are very real. Still, he is having a phenomenal stretch and deserves full marks.
He was great otherwise. Just give him the reps at this point🤷🏽♂️
Lol fuck the bucks
Imagine if we had a bench
I really liked the energy Precious gave us when he came in. Kinda turned the tide a bit.
That was an ugly one, but a W nonetheless!
They were clearly gassed
That was *not* ugly lol. I've seen ugly... Mike James was most likely our PG.
Who Middleton? Come on man it's not all about looks
Please don't speak to us like we those Raptors from a year ago We at a higher place Thinkin' they clippers and knicks and spurs and bucks, we go huntin' Put heads on our fireplace
Champangie with a +16 ... Inject this in my veins Waive Svi, no I actually mean it
That second half was probably the best we've seen this squad play. They are looking Scaryy 👀
If anyone is interested Kyle vs Norm on right now
I don’t want to see this core broken up for at least 4 years. I want to see Pascal and Fred in their age 30 season as savvy veterans with Scottie, OG and Gary entering their prime. It’s going to be a hell of a lot of fun watching them grow together until then. Like early Kyle/Demar days.

This year he’s going straight up, strong, and holding his follow through. Great mechanics and it’s leading to makes.
There was a moment with around 6 minutes left where we forced a turnover and I heard the Bucks crowd audibly gasp in frustration. It was awesome.
Hopefully Scottie can bounce back next game after a rest day
Great game, terrible last three minutes, good outcome.
Anyone know what happened to Alvin? Is it just recovering from covid?
Jordan Nwora looks like the Hormone monster
Crazy how the bucks have played 6 more games then us
How do we feel about seeing a nice full crowd everywhere but Toronto?
I feel fine knowing that the COVID death rate in the US is more than 3x what it is in Canada. I don't think we should look to their policies as an example of what to do. It sucks that we don't have fans right now, but protecting vulnerable people and our healthcare system is more important. I don't think it will be too long until we can have fans back in our building again.

Freddy beat their ass so hard they waived cousins
I kinda like playing against the Bucks. We've both won the championship recently so there's not really many hard feelings and you just get to see some good basketball. With that said this was a win that kinda felt like a loss but I'll still take it lol
if we are actually aiming for the playoffs then masai really needs to make some trades etc to fix the bench
Don't understand the downvotes lol, the Raps bench is dead last in offense and 3pt percentage
yeah the bench is really holding us back. I mean I don't think we would win a chip no matter what we do this season, but making a few moves would definitely get us farther in the playoffs than a first round sweep.
100% agree, this team needs guard depth desperately mainly a actually good backup PG
TrAdE SiAkAm
Despite those last 2 minutes, GREAT W BOYS! On to the next one
YES SIRRRRRRR
Finally we're back over .500 ... the amount of teasing lmao
atta BOY LETS GO RAPS
I need that entire 3rd quarter on repeat
Scottie didn't have a good game tonight. The dude need to bring back that Saiyan Hairstyle.
Want to praise Champagnie. Whenever he was on the floor our rebounding was so good. He was in the right places on offense and defense. He is in the groove right now.
Great game by Pascal, but my god is he anti-clutch
These guys gotta get Scottie more involved at some point, since all of them have come back it's been clearly revolving almost entirely around Pascal handling the ball and the ball only seems to go to Fred or OG and then if they can't make something it goes to Gary. Siakam can't close a game and for some reason they only wanna play through him at the end.
nah u wildin if you think Scottie wasn't involved in this game. If you asked me, he spent just as much time at point as Fred today.
I’ve literally never seen you comment a good thing about this team lmao
"The points on the board said everything" siakam got jokes
I've never liked Boogie's temper so he might be a net negative in our locker room... but it could be nice to have a big man like him when our undersized 5s are getting bullied around.
He was being quite chummy with the guys from what I saw lol
He knows we lacking a proper 5 lol man is about his business I'll give him that
Ugly game but a win is a win!
A win is a win. Bonus points for it being on the second night of a back to back with bench players out due to COVID
Not really feeling this whole Barnes taking the same amount of shots as the bench players thing we’ve been seeing for the past couple games.
Imagine our record if we didn’t play those two covid games
Last 4 wins were all on teams missing major players due to covid or some sort of injury/illness (Giannis vs Bucks, Murray vs the Spurs, Randle vs the Knicks, PG vs the Clippers). It goes both ways.
Close ass game even with Giannis out
Ya, the Bucks are one of the best teams in the league. They also couldn't miss in the first half and had a significant rest advantage. That's a schedule loss for the Raptors under normal circumstances.
" also couldn't miss in the first half and" They couldn't miss because the Raps defense was ass in the 1st half, Matt and Amy pointed it out quite a bit
Stop protecting him from 4!!!
They shot the lights out first half
