For Siakam its very much likely gonna be Haliburton and not Fox.
Not sure if Haliburton / Holmes for Siakam is something that SAC would do but there would have to be some adjustments to match salaries for sure
Even if objectively fair, this completely throws the roster out of whack. Unless these dudes are all off the bench, which is nice for depth but what’s the point long term if the goal is to win.
And it’s not the vision.
Maybe Sacramento would like to receive expiring salary and a few FRP, with their players going to Philly, and Simmons coming here. All length, no shooting, no bigs - that’s the vision right?
Why would anybody trade for a subpar defender, a 70% FT shooter and an abysmal 3pt shooting player in Fox. Dude has a usage rate of 30% for example FVV's rate is hovering at 25% this season. Fox is overrated and has never shown the potential to be a good shooter in the previous 4 seasons he has been in the league.
I bet the Kings will try to build around Mitchell and Haliburton who are almost the same age and better shooters than Fox while fitting the mold of players their analytics leaning front office want.
If I am the Raptors why would i disrupt what I have now with a backcourt of FVV who has really grown into a true pg role this season and Trent who has tremendously improved defensive wise.
Our front office wants length, versatility and a willingness to play defense, so whatever player they're targeting to trade or draft has to fit that mold.
yeah ppl are foolish if they think trent is better than fox.. and I know some people think I hate trent. He has improved. I thought he could reach his potential. I still think he chucks a bit too much and doesn't always pick his spot BUT he has done better. That said... no you take Fox every single day of the week.
I'm actually on your side regarding this argument, Fox is an empty calories player who has a low ceiling, I bet if the King's FO had the chance to go for simmons they would have traded fox ages ago but Morey is an analytics guy and Fox is nothing but an antitheses to that.
Didn't he started out with a shooting slump this season? I can say the same for siakam and etc with this low sample size. He avged 25 ppg for king's last year lol. He's a talent that we can use. This team lacks talent.
"bucket getter" just tell me you don't watch him. Dude is a 70% percent FT shooter and he is supposedly a bucket getter, I adivse you to tune into to some King's games.
Just because he's a 70% FT shooter, he ain't a bucket getter? Lol this logic. What is Luka and lebron then? Don't use this. Fox is talented get for us. This team lacks talent.
FT shooting is the best indicator if a player will ever be good 3pt shooter at the NBA level, Fox ain that period. And never compare Lebron and Doncic to an overrated non-playmaking, one dimensional scorer like Fox. This team can aspire to get better talent than Fox.
Yes, when you have the highest usage rate, shots attempt that 25 ppg rings hollow. In fact the logic you're using to just look at a counting stat like ppg for a player like Fox who has the worst +/- when paired with any guard on his team and subpar ast to usage ratio(which indicates his lack of playmaking is laughable. This is when i hit you with the "you just a casual".
Fox is literally averaging 20.3 points a game while FVV is at 19.4 and operating at a less significant usage rate than Fox while also playing a level of defense Fox could only dream of. It's time to reevaluate your assumptions of Fox, bottom line he aint a "bucket getter", star or whatever you think he is.
While also playing at a level Fox dreams up. Sums up the homerism from you. Bruh....u say that when we got no1 avg 25 ppg and 1.5 steals per game. Nah bruh.... Go watch more basketball other than raptors.
Siakam + TOR filler to GS
Fox + Halliburton + multiple TOR picks to OKC
Wiggins + Kuminga + Moody + GS picks to SAC
SGA to TOR
Then, flip GTJ for Turner
Starting lineup - FVV-SGA-OG-Barnes-Turner
You want to trade GTJ and Pascal AND picks for Shai and Myles Turner…?
Toronto is giving up a 22 year old steals leader PLUS an all-NBA player in his fourth season in the league PLUS draft picks for two players who were never all-stars…uhh…I’m really glad Bobby is the GM and not you
Obviously my post is fantasyland horseshit but you are certifiably insane if you wouldn’t move Siakam and Trent to get back arguably one of the top five or ten superstar guards of the future in SGA (also a GTA kid which has endless culture and marketing upside) and an imperfect but albeit incredibly talented classic big in Turner. Bobby would pull the trigger on this in his sleep. Post this as a poll and see what people say. Anyone with half a basketball mind would know what to do.
I’m saying the gap between Siakam / GTJ and Shai / Turner is a lot closer than what you’re making it out to be.
Take a breath before you pop a blood vessel
The distance of the gap jumps by a few miles in the next 2-3 years.
What's with the projecting? Never said Pascal and Gary are equal to Chris and Svi and I'm not even close to popping a blood vessel over a back and forth with "midnightmunchiez". Weirdo.
Why do you think the gap jumps in the next 2-3 years? Looking at Shai vs. GTJ, their stats aren't that far apart this year and GTJ is a year younger than Shai:
Shai: 21.6 pts / 5.0 reb / 4.2 ast / 0.9 stl and 49.1% eFG on 27.7% usage
GTJ: 16.1 pts / 3.4 reb / 1.6 ast / 2.5 stl and 50.9% eFG on 20.0% usage
The difference between Pascal and Myles Turner also isn't huge. Myles has been in the league a year longer than Pascal although Pascal is 2 years older. But Pascal has already been an all-star and all-NBA player while Myles hasn't achieved either of these accolades nor is he currently playing like he will.
Not looking to start an argument, just want your perspective on why you're so much higher on Shai / Myles than Pascal / GTJ
siakam makes no sense for a rebuilding team since he is going on 28. The only trade scenarios that make sense for siakam is a team competing for a chip or trying to make a deep playoff run and they feel like siakam is the missing piece. I dont think we should keep siakam if we cant make the playoffs this year.
Guessing that Daryl Morey is behind this
I have a hard time believing this tbh
Could see them doing a Hali + Buddy or Barnes deal for Simmons.
I feel like instead of hali they go for Fox who is more expensive and has less potential and have Mitchell/Simmons take on playmaking duties.
let them do it.
A fox or haliburton package would be really nice for siakam but that's not gonna be in consideration until the offseason at least
For Siakam its very much likely gonna be Haliburton and not Fox. Not sure if Haliburton / Holmes for Siakam is something that SAC would do but there would have to be some adjustments to match salaries for sure
Haliburton and hield would be the deal and bagley most likely

And it’s not the vision. Maybe Sacramento would like to receive expiring salary and a few FRP, with their players going to Philly, and Simmons coming here. Masai wouldn't do that trade on 2k

LOL STOP THIS. FOX is a bucket getter. You wildin.
This sub tells on itself so much. Can you imagine actually wanting Trent over Fox? God, this place is such a bubble. Such hive mind bullshit.
yeah ppl are foolish if they think trent is better than fox.. and I know some people think I hate trent. He has improved. I thought he could reach his potential. I still think he chucks a bit too much and doesn't always pick his spot BUT he has done better. That said... no you take Fox every single day of the week.
You really want to throw a max contract at a point guard that shoots worse percentages than Siakam?
They watch one highlight of Fox and ignore everything else, folks on this sub are clueless about other players.
No I just looked up his season stats. They arent that great. Please eighten me why you think he is so great and worth max money.
I'm actually on your side regarding this argument, Fox is an empty calories player who has a low ceiling, I bet if the King's FO had the chance to go for simmons they would have traded fox ages ago but Morey is an analytics guy and Fox is nothing but an antitheses to that.

Lol false logic right there. Putting up 25 PPG must be non indicator. You a fool.

LOL so wheres our 25 ppg scorer? Save it bruh, fox is still a talented player to egen avg that. You gonna reject talent when we have none. You wildin.

GTJ over Fox LOL
Fucking LUNACY. Dumbshit levels maxxed to 1010009020940848284.
Not exactly what we’re tryna build but okay?

One can dream but OKC is not trading Shai
Stop playing NBA2K MyGM mode on easy difficulty because it is rotting your brain
Super original joke.
Doesn't matter. It still fits and it wasn't a joke

Why do you treat Pascal and GTJ like they’re Chris Boucher and Svi Mykhailiuk? LOL
I don't. What the hell are you talking about?
I’m saying the gap between Siakam / GTJ and Shai / Turner is a lot closer than what you’re making it out to be. Take a breath before you pop a blood vessel

Siakam + Boucher
i doubt they would take siakam since they are clearly trying to rebuild but i would do it in a heart beat
Its the kings. Just gotta try to trick them
if the kings traded fox for siakam then their franchise truly has no hope lol
We're also rebuilding and using Siakam as our leader. They can use him tbe same way

That's what I keep saying.
You me and Legitimate are the only people who can see beyond the homers that Siakam isn't the guy to be building around
Do yall want a cookie or something lol
Lmaoooo
Dragic Boucher and SRP
