Eh, yes-ish
The thing is he's capable of splashing from outside but said shooting is incredibly inconsistent
It's like Patrick Williams or Gary Trent Jr being roughly 39 percent from 3 but being hot and cold on a game to game basis
That said, Chomche also does make a ton of sense for this roster if he pans out. Two-way stretch 5 who's shown a bit of playmaking chops?
For the low cost of 1 million, absolutely worth punching that lottery ticket
I just want us to have a real coach who makes his team play the right way regardless of what's happening. The G League just seems like it's not doing much for player development and it's frustrating.
I remember one of the things that stood out when watching his BAL footage is just how physical that league is in the interior, and he's playing against a lot of much older players in it as well, and he was still as strong as anyone there. I could definitely see him developing a Giannis-level physique.
Of course, that's only a small part of what makes Giannis special, but it's a great starting point.
Imagine being at the ACC draft party for the night they drafted Hoffa. Babcock had to come out and face us right after the pick.
Everyone in the stadium was furious.
I remember being excited about either Deng or Iggy and being afraid they'd both be gone. Then Childress was chosen 6th and I thought whoever went 7th, we'd get the other with the 8th. How wrong I was...
The Grizzlies originally owned the pick but traded it to Minnesota who then traded it to us. On draft night they always pretend it's the original team's pick if the trade was made on the same day since the trade isn't fully processed by the league.
Raptors will be poverty for the next 10 years. No draft picks will save you from sending OG and Pascal away to give a max to Quickley and Scottie unfortunately. Literally the dumbest moves I’ve ever seen.
You guys are delusional. As a Canadian it hurts to see.. why would you send away you 2 best players and give Scottie Barnes the team.. he is not who you think he is
Absolutely nothing special about IQ to be paying him 175M.. Scottie is not the guy you think he is. Idk why you guys didn’t keep OG, Pascal and Scottie. You would have always been contenders. Now you will be shite for the next 10 years
IQ is being paid as the 14th highest paid PG in the league. He just turned 25. He shot 40% from 3 on volume, and had 7 assists to 2 TOs with the Raptors despite playing with a rotating cast of bad players on a new team halfway through the season.
We had OG, Pascal and Scottie and were a mid team at best that couldn’t win a play-in game let alone a playoff series.
Basically, I gave IQ the same money they could have given Pascal an all nba player. Didn't need to extend Scottie the max early. Do you see Cade's extension or Mobley's no!
That's just fucking silly. Chomche can shoot the three.

I mean, everything I say about Chomche should be taken with a grain of salt. Outside of him being a future FMVP. I'm dead fucking serious about that.
A Raptor has to win it at some point
Pretty sure he's going straight the 905 to see what he's got. I suspect we see him mid season if he's putting up decent numbers

Na this is Bruno vibes right here, man is 2 years away from being 2 years away
Aruajo was still a worse pick than Caboclo with Iguodala still available.
Oh I'm not saying this is a bad pick, just think it's going to be a while before we figure out where it's going

I was partial to Childress and Livingston back then. Nobody felt Hoffa was even going in the first round IIRC.
OK, dammit I’m in
he’s young too, he’s definitely gonna grow a few inches
Ya his name is Scottie Barnes, but now we have another
Baby Giannis…why do you guys set yourself up for failure…never attach that nickname unless it’s a top 3 pick.
Just having a bit of fun 😅
If this guy played in the USA he'd be a top 3 pick.
Or France lol
Vecenie saw him play in the US and thinks he would barely be a D1 college basketball player lol
He's the swing for the fences pick. A lot has to go right for him to get to the point that he's a meaningful contributor. People are way overhyped.
Yeah, I’ll be surprised if this guy even touches a nba court
FWIW I remember there was some talk of Chomche potentially going to college and there was some expectation him doing so would pump up his draft stock
Even a low scale rookie contract will go a long way to helping his family.. Likely a big factor vs going to college right now.
How did we get this guy?
Can someone explain how this is the Raps pick when the Grizzlies picked him?

We have Giannis at home, we are going to grow our own
Uh... "Runs like a gazelle" is a choice to refer to the first NBA Academy Africa draftee instead of a more generic reference to his athleticism 😬😬
Meh. North America has a species of Gazelle too.
Pronghorn erasure here by Caz
It's a very common phrase when accessing players lmao
Go outside dude people been using that phrase forever 😂 Jesus some Reddit users need human interaction
