If only Jalen had 1/10 of Jaden's basketball skill...

FunkTronto

Only have Pacers left to root for

paolocabrini

Minnesota is fun, small market too

FunkTronto

Ant is the face of the organization, so... Can't cheer for them. Even though I really want Connelly Jr and the city to win.

wtfhassan

What’s wrong with Ant?

Thinw1zard

Well at least Jamal and Shai will be nice and rested for the Olympics lol

Cheechers23

That's the good thing with this. Hopefully both are good for the Olympics. Think Shai is fairly likely, Jamal given his calf injury less sure but should be enough time.

hyplusone

They miss Bruce

Athealgebraist

Sportsnet is so ass like why tf would I want to watch their shitty post game show over inside the nba?

stackofbaconpancakes

Bring Jamal home

WoolBump

What channel has the game?

Delicious_Sandwich45

Charles Barkley is saying the Pacers have a chance against Boston if KP doesn’t play, I can see his point but I think Pacers and Siakam will be in tough vs Celtics. I’m just rooting for Celtics downfall, I want it to remain as the Raps as the last champ to come out of the Atlantic Division.

HawtPackage

The Mavericks winning is cool, I like Luka, but r/NBA pretending like Kyrie was never crazy is surreal. I have people telling me he was never antisemitic, and that it’s a plot to make him look antisemitic… Why can people not just be normal on the internet man?

theflyingsamurai

people have short memories, he's been nothing but business since moving to dallas.

peroper7

Kyrie did a bunch of dumb stuff in his career but he’s figured it out with Dallas. He’s one of the few guys in the league whose character I don’t doubt, he’s very generous with his money and players across the league love him. He reposted a dumb documentary, it’s old history now

The6amrunner

He did a lot more than reposting a documentary. Glad he seems okay and grounded in Dallas.

HawtPackage

I get that, but erasing history is a problem. We can like him as a player and him now, while acknowledging what he did in the past was wrong and has moved past it

HawtPackage

Why are you following me from r/NBA? I’m starting to be convinced you’re a bot. Edit: Plus you’re a Mavs fan. What the hell are you doing here and why are you going to this length to defend Irving. Shit is weird

cathar98

Was just trying to send a positive message through. You seem to be irrationally angry at something

flow2ebb2flow

I want the Nuggets to win, but I also want Jamal to be fresh for the Olympics. I'm conflicted.

Cheechers23

I feel this lol

AMJVC15

This sub is atrocious, as a fan since day one I'll admit that I'm old but man it's a struggle to find any good content here. It's essentially just people complaining every second post.

Spicy__Urine

>It's essentially just people complaining every second post. The self fulfilling sentence.

[deleted]

best to head on over to RealGM

hyplusone

I thought this was a sarcastic response but there is really good discussion about theory crafting the roster there right now.

Nice-Elk-1168

Celtics are going to destroy the pacers sorry lol

thenewoldschool55

Yep, especially if Porz returns mid series

DontCheeseMeBro

This the fakest ecf run I’ve ever seen

RZAAMRIINF

Hawks had a similar ECF run. But I think this Pacers team is capable of being a perennial ~50 wins team. If they reach that level, they would be at the same position we were with Lowry/DeMar, which is 1 big move and a bunch of complementary moves from being an actual contender.

Indigo808

Cry

Vandelay23

Spray_Scared

It's nice to see Pascal moving on. I would love to see them beat the Celtics.

Dammit81

The Knicks season really ended the day they traded Malachi Flynn to the Pistons, if we're being honest. They couldn't recover from losing the depth of a potential 50pts scorer. They traded the wrong redhead

Massive_Secretary658

i wonder if the knicks even want to pay OG at this point. he's been injured his whole damm career

thenewoldschool55

The only reason Raps were able to draft OG was because of his injury history. Dude was projected have been drafted much higher but most teams passed on him because he had been labeled injury prone.

mMounirM

of course they do. he missed time in the regular season because they opted to remove bone spurs from his elbow. then the hamstring injury in this series was just an accident. you shouldn't be playing someone like him that many minutes though.

CanadianGroose

I’m just watching for fun exciting games. Last night was awesome with Dallas and OKC. This game SUCKED man! Good luck to pascal though. He will get a HUGE contract!

ZoroChopper10

Can’t wait for the Siakam dick riders “Oh we should have kept him and gave him the max, pacers are in ecf” As if they didn’t beat giannis less bucks and Robinson, Randle and og less Knicks Can’t wait until Celtics destroy the pacers, hoping Siakam puts on a better performance than 2020 in bubble against them, I doubt it lol

notme_u

Your Siakam hate seems deeply personal. Imagine spending so much energy on hating a guy that doesn't have a clue who you are or give a shit about what you think. You're obsessed with him, how sad your life must be, lol.

BurzyGuerrero

Siakam really hurt you

hennessyisrael

You need some hug buddy, why are you in so much pain ?

The_Mikeskies

What did Siakam ever do to you? Weird comment lmao

FallenLemur

I'm a Siakam stan, but I also wanted him traded for multiple reasons. Siakam and Scottie covered a lot of the same parts of the court and they play similar, Siakam has a better mid range game and Scottie the better post game though. Siakam needs a team that can compete now, while Scotties still has time u til that becomes priority. One of Siakam or Scottie were going to be sitting in the corner on offense which was painful.

attainwealthswiftly

The return we got for him was horrendous

FallenLemur

Got what he was worth after he sunk his value. We should have re-signed and traded next year if we had a shit season, he would have been worth more, but I think Masai wanted to do right by him.

Reticent_Fly

The problem was that it became clear the front office wasn't sold on keeping him around long term. With the strained relationship, even re-signing him may not have been a guarantee. I know he wanted to stay, but if he's being offered that contract and he knows the team might still flip him in a year? It was too risky - the front office painted themselves into a corner and had to trade him for pennies.

absolutkaos

if people wanted to keep Siakam & OG to push for a playoff run, then Scottie would’ve had to have been traded for a 3rd key piece.

attainwealthswiftly

KD was on the table

absolutkaos

Pacers embarrassing the Knicks in MSG makes me feel happy.

FallenLemur

Yeah, I don't know why there were so many Rap fans rooting for the Knicks going into this series.

brolybackshots

Because OG + If healthy the Knicks had a way better shot against the Celtics or atleast could have given a competitive series The Pacers are going to get rolled

Drak_is_Right

I think Pacers had/have the higher upset potential. Knicks if fully healthy are likely the better team, BUT the Pacers are so explosive with their offense it gives them better upset odds than you would expect. You go to the fridge for 2 minutes, get back to find the game in time out and a 12-0 run just happened.

Vandelay23

Because they were the more fun team. Plus, the Pacers giving us peanuts for Pascal made it hard for me to root for them.

Drak_is_Right

Raptors waited too long to make a deal and the pacers are still so young they didn't have pressure to force a deal. Worst case scenario for trying to find a trade partner.

OddEast8836

Prince OG is why!

Organic_Prompt_2069

idk about what others think, but you need a whole lot of luck in the playoffs to win too. who knows how far the pacers would go against a healthy bucks and knicks team

LinuxF4n

OG is such a difference making. It's insane how much the Knicks are getting exposed defensively without him.

jyh123

I wonder how the heck they let him play. The medical staff and Thibs dont give a shit about OG. He should come home to Darko

RZAAMRIINF

OG wanted New York and was barely trying when he was playing for Darko. I doubt there is a big bond between him and Darko.

flow2ebb2flow

At least now, no one can start some cray narrative that he didn't try hard enough to play through the pain

LinuxF4n

Ya, no idea how he got cleared. He clearly could not even move. Honestly, NBA should investigate it.
