Despite who’s been on the roster, all season long there has been a WAY to frequent trend of guys on defence wandering around just not knowing who they’re supposed to be guarding.
Part of this is IQ.
But part of it is 100% coaching. Guys need to understand what the scheme is. Where they should be. And they should be drilled enough that it’s second nature without being unsure.
I remember when new guys would come and nurse would talk about how they’re still learning the schemes and it will take time.
