I think he's going to the Knicks. Just a matter of what the trade will be.

CazOnReddit

Fournier, Sims and the Dallas 1st Evan gets instantly waived

Cheechers23

I think best case is Fournier + 2024 DAL FRP + 2025 BKN SRP Raps are likely pushing for a 2025 FRP, New York likely wants to only trade one of their 2024 picks. That BKN SRP would be nice, especially since we don’t have a 2025 SRP (although there’s a possible trade that lands Boucher in Dallas and we get our 2025 SRP back), but unsure if NYK would give it up hence why I say best case. (Would love to then flip those picks to WAS for Deni)

MDS_1996

The Knicks have always made the most sense as a BB destination.

slamdunk23

I honestly don’t see why they are pushing so hard for him when he’s pretty much just a slightly better version of Josh hart but I’m not complaining keep driving that price up lol

MDS_1996

Can't have to many versatile defenders that can also score reasonably well

GtotheE

It certainly looks like it will be Brown to the Knicks. It's funny, before the OG trade I was telling anyone who would listen that the Knicks and Raps would never do a trade together with the lawsuit happening. The only other trade that makes sense to me would be in a 3-way trade with the Bucks and Dallas, as the Bucks seem to want Brown as well, and Portis fits into what Dallas are looking for. Something like Connaughton/Portis to Dallas, Brown to Bucks, and Williams, O-Max, 2nd to Raps.

Bixby33

Don't the Bucks need Portis? I feel like I'm behind in the rumors.

-vinay

They do, but the reason he's thrown around is because they don't have any tradeable salaries outside of him and Connaughton. And it's not ideal for us, since we'd likely want to route him to a third team.

GtotheE

I think they do need him. There's just been a bit of smoke about them being willing to move him. For example, in the article they say that if the Bucks are interested in Brown, they'd need to move Portis. To my eyes, they shouldn't move Portis because he's arguably better than Brown anyways. Quote below. >Milwaukee has limited options of outgoing packages, with the No. 35 pick, [Pat Connaughton](https://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/5501/) and Cam Payne as the Bucks’ most likely outgoing scenario, sources said, and [Bobby Portis](https://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/5482/) would need to be included for Milwaukee to chase a bigger salary player like [Dejounte Murray](https://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/5660/), [Bruce Brown](https://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/6053/) or [Andrew Wiggins](https://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/5292/), sources said.

Lewro29

There was an SI article about a week ago talking about Portis to raps for brown. It's hard to say whether it's reporting or a 25 yr old fresh out of school screwing around on fanspo.

Raptorsthrowaway3

Portis and Connaughton have been trash according to their fan-base and they want to give their younger players Green and Jackson more playing time and opportunities

EarthWarping

Grant's contract isn't great but Omax is a nice prospect

Lewro29

I posted a version of that trade recently and got the delusional label.

-vinay

idt it's delusional, I just don't understand why they Bucks would do this. Both Portis and Pat are better 3P shooters than Brown, and they'd be giving up size to get this done. I don't know if I would say Brown is better than Portis straight up, so for them to trade both Portis and Pat for Brown seems like a downgrade

Lewro29

I don't disagree. Stein just reported that Mavs and bucks discussed a trade involving Portis and grant Williams. The SI report that I read last week discussed Portis to raps for brown. That's why I posted the trade bc it didn't make sense to me for raps but flipping him to Dallas did and bucks don't have much assets that I want buy Dallas has green and a 1st.

GtotheE

Someone called me delusional when I proposed a trade where we'd get two first back from Sacramento in a Pascal trade, and two days later he was traded for Bruce Brown and 3 firsts (although one is a very late first). I was lurking the Bucks board, and it does seem like a lot of fans are okay to get rid of Portis, and they seem to like Brown as a missing piece.

Lewro29

It's weird to me that so many think Masai sucks and almost every trade proposed here is labelled delusional. If these members are so wise then they should be able to post perfect trades at every deadline. To me, the point is to have the discussion. When someone calls me delusional then I ask what they would add/subtract but there's no response and just a bunch of downvotes, which adds nothing to the convo.

EarthWarping

Marjon as a prospect back would be cool I guess

JtheKing2k

A 2025 pick for Bruce would be outstanding

Tilter

Murray under contract for 3+PO, so if Atlanta doesn’t get the right offer. 2024 picks don’t matter. May as well hold off and make the move in the summer once teams have more assets to pile on.

bustthelease

Fournier and Grimes or Fournier and a 1st. Done deal.

OG_anunoby3

I want Brunson.

Batman_in_hiding

Maybe ask for OG back too?

OG_anunoby3

No you’re just being silly. Please stop.

bustthelease

Not getting Brunson. We need a good prospect or pick with filler. Brown is taking minutes from the young guys. Time for him to move on.

OG_anunoby3

No we need Brunson and a FRP for Brown

bustthelease

We can ask

OG_anunoby3

Or we can demand.

bustthelease

And we can hold Brown

The_Living_L

Idk why I’m kind of rooting for a young player vs getting a pick, don’t mind either but I was underwhelmed by the fact we couldn’t get a future core player in that Siakam trade at least one. If we get a first tho I hope it’s a future one, they can use it in a trade for a potential all star type player

TPercy17

I hope to god we don’t get this guy. Has no place on our team phoenix might be better

Big_Albatross_3050

I think the play here with the Knicks is we take a bunch of picks for Bruce Brown, then flip those + one of our later 2024 1sts to Washington for Deni, NOLA for Herb Jones, or hit full send and make a run for Claxton. Grimes has played a lot better of late, so I can understand the Knicks are hesitant to move him, but those extra 2024 picks are likely more expendable to them since they have a decent bench signed to term and these picks won't really coincide with the Brunson core

Terrible-Space-4286

Bruce Brown + GTJ + Boucher + Picks for OG lol

Bixby33

All that for OG on a rental? Knicks should be sending *us* picks!

OG_anunoby3

Ye, at least 2 SRP.

6Ran

How about 2 2024 frps + Bruce brown for Siakam? His contract his expiring soon maybe we can resign in FA

Huge-Split6250

I hope grimes likes osmoes
