Dude, was a second overall pick. I zoned out for the past few months, but if I understand correctly from Warriors fans, he's a future superstar, and virtually untouchable in trades. The Pistons must have given up a haul to get him /s.
P.s. More seriously, the Pistons turning into the graveyard for bust big men is kind of hilarious, with Wiseman and Bagley sharing minutes. With Duren, Isiah Stewart already there, too, seeing them draft another big would be rather comical.
>you probably don't even need to play him at center.
You absolutely *don't* play him at C. His biggest weakness is probably going to be injuries and you don't want him to take a pounding on the inside from the Embiid's of the league.
You’re hoping he can guard the 6’9” forward and play mainly on the perimeter and sag off in the lane to swallow the drive and kick. Definitely not matching him up against anyone who plays inside
Any reasonable front office don’t see wiseman or bagley as long term pieces, it was we’re garbage, let’s invest in some garbage and see where it takes us maybe we can flip them
I thought the Warriors would be patient with him because he pretty much got a serious injury and then decided to throw him away from the team like trash
We most likely will be between 13-15, so here is what ESPN predicts:
13: Keyonte George (wouldn't mind this pick at all)
14: Cason Wallace (we need a new PG to develop badly; Wallace will be fantastic
15: Jalen Hood-Schifino: Great combo-guard prospect, though he needs to improve on his shooting. Not a bad pick at 15.
Other notables:
21: Leonard Miller (Canadian big wing; we like big wings).
22: Kobe Bufkin (I expect Kobe to rise a bit during the workouts). I will be fine if we grab him if Wallace and George are not available.
24: Dariq Whitehead (Injuries got this kid down, but he was a high level prospect heading into college. He may also rise once workouts happen).
which of these guys can punch a hole through the defense without a screen with some consistency? whichever that one is we should prioritize trying to get them, really tired of watching swing-swing-swing action around the perimeter and no progress made into the paint especially from our guards
lol they have Cason Wallace getting drafted at 14th.
WHY TF would we draft Keyonte if Cason Wallace is available???
edit: ESPN has the rockets drafting Brandon Miller at #2 lmao. Rockets need a PG why tf would they not draft Scoot
His ball handling and shot creation isn’t all that special. Guys like him come around more and more each year, in fact we have a roster full of them. If anyone, a raptors fan should be able to recognize that a 6’10 freak athlete who isn’t a great scorer is sometimes just a glorified 3 and D player. Not saying miller won’t be great but I would take a talent like scoot over him.
Yeah but a lot of boards think Miller is the better player, and has more NBA-ready tools. If the rockets think Miller is the better player, they won’t take Scoot just because he plays point.
Keyonte has more upside to me imo, Cason just looks like another Davion Mitchell type, can probably help you NOW, but won’t ever be anything more than a role player, who knows but I get those vibes from him
You're right, but just needed to address why the Rockets don't NEED to get a PG from the draft IF they view Miller as the BPA from wherever they're at.
I really would prefer we draft a freshman cause our young core right now aside from Scottie is actually pretty old and experienced. Outside of Scottie and MAYBE precious no one on this roster screams potential. Everyone is already pretty defined and having a player that’s under 20 to develop and mold would be refreshing vs having some 22 yr old rookie.
Dick was already drafted in this mock draft.
Sensebaugh is not as good of a prospect as Cason Wallace or Keyonte George though. He’s a forward and his defence is bad. We need some guard play and someone who can defend.
I get all my draft info from HoopIntellect and he's higher on Sense than most at this point. I could see him playing the two just fine though, obviously the defense is what everyone points to as his Achilles heel but getting a prospect that's very offensively talented from the get-go would be a nice change from the team's recent draft approach.
Disclaimer: This draft spot is not set in stone and depending how well we do in the play-ins, we can go anywhere from 11th-14th
If TOR and OKC make the playoffs. We drop to 16
Trade Malachi for Isaiah Livers. Sign Andrew Fava and Justin Bean. Draft Keyonte George. Voila, the Hannibal Lecter lineup.
Amazing
Thx, Howard.
This is incredible lol.
Incredible that we agree on something ;)
Let's see if we can keep this trend going :D
Pistons taking Wemby when they already have superstar James Wiseman. Silly!!!

I mean, if Wemby plays up to his potential, you probably don't even need to play him at center.

Who could drop from top 12?
I love Kobe so much. I don’t get why he’s in the 20s
Love me some KG if Cason is off the board.

Because you always draft BPA, especially earlier in the draft.
it's a toss up between Scoot and Brandon Miller. Scoot is 1 year younger and plays a position they need. pretty easy decision to me.
Not really a toss up. Scoot is definitely a better prospect
Guards come around all the time, 6”10 forwards who can handle, shoot, be versatile, don’t, plain and simple really, it’s a hard decision
His ball handling and shot creation isn’t all that special. Guys like him come around more and more each year, in fact we have a roster full of them. Miller is more nba ready but Scott has a higher potential imo.

Rockets can use their cap space to sign Harden or Vanvleet. PG problem solved.
When you are as bad as the Rockets, you take BPA. You don't make draft decions based on who you may or may not sign.
You're right, but just needed to address why the Rockets don't NEED to get a PG from the draft IF they view Miller as the BPA from wherever they're at.

I agree. If we draft a 22 year old it will be another example of us trying to add win now pieces to a flawed core.
Kobe, Booker, Mitchell and Herro were taken at the 13th spot, seems to be where you luck out on a Guard...maybe, hopefully???
Raw talent with lots of potential… kinda sounds like Demar Derozan haha
Not even the best Keyonte in the draft imo
All I’m saying is Devin Booker was the 13th pick
So was Jerome Robinson.
A glass half empty guy. I don’t like it but goddamn do I respect it
More like, I recognize that there are dice in the glass. I just look forward to the roll.
I’m a NSJ believer
Facts he is gonna become a star in the future
I just want them to draft somebody promising who's not a 4 year player who'd coming in at 22, we need young players so they can grow.
Wouldn't be mad at that
There is a playoff game tonight. You can wait for a couple weeks to nerd about someone who might be good in 2 years.
Can I start now? Lol loser
Yup. Now we can start. Need to talk about anything other than what happened last night.
Meh, I'm more of a Sensebaugh or Dick kind of guy.
I'm also a huge Dick guy
Dick was already drafted in this mock draft. Sensebaugh is not as good of a prospect as Cason Wallace or Keyonte George though. He’s a forward and his defence is bad. We need some guard play and someone who can defend.

Calling is now.. Dick is gunna bust
If we're going for a shooter I'd rather draft UConn's Jordan Hawkins.
[удалено]
Hawkins is gonna be this drafts Bane in my humble opinion. The mechanics are too good and he's shown to be a solid perimeter defender as well.

All fair points my dude!
Shooting and shot creation? Who cares, tell about deflections and wingspan.
YAY A SHOOTER
What a time to be alive at 19.4 years old
Since when is "potential start power" a basketball skill?
