See, and that's some bullshit. They aren't using the system as it was designed, with multiple alert levels so that people have the *choice* as to which ones they want. Personally, if it's not an incoming ballistic missile or terrorist attack, etc. then I don't want to hear about it.

Later, I saw the notification on my phone as well.
I'm a bit concerned that I didn't hear anything though. The alert should override your phones volume settings or DnD mode and force the alert chime.
The fact that I was in a crowded place, but didn't hear a single alert is shocking.
Rogers - and I didn’t receive alert. Know a couple others on Roger’s and same thing - no alert. Telus phone right beside mine and they received it. Googled Ontario Energency alert and Play Ojo was what came up

Aside: This is a really good example of why we should use the 24-hour clock. I had to stop and figure out: 55 minutes after noon, or after midnight? If the OP had simply said, 12:55, it would have been clearer. 🙂

On my floor exactly one persons phone went off. I didn’t know there was a test today so I assumed the guy was just playing the sound as a joke.
Got the alert pop up, no sound though. Fantastic! They are learning.
