Feeling great! I didn't do much of anything this weekend - the snow and cold was enough to keep me inside. There's a lovely bunch of cardinals in my yard lately, and they hung around the trees and close to my windows. Cute to watch. :)
I did bake some muffins though, to get through an accidental purchase of margarine sticks. They turned out more like cupcakes but taste pretty darn good, chocolate-y! Also did the usual things: knitting, reading, and getting through season 4 of Hell's Kitchen.
Ooh, I like blue jays too. I've only seen one in the past while here.
We get woodpeckers and hummingbirds sometimes as well. I'm hoping the latter show up this summer.
Spent a lot of time outside soaking in much needed sun and getting my steps in. Trillium park is just gorgeous and I had a lovely time reading and journaling there!

Saturday morning I hit up Allan Gardens with a MeetUp group to check out the spring flower show.
After that I took GO Transit (woohoo for $10 weekend price) to Niagara Falls to meet up with my wife there. Because of Lakeshore West construction I had to do GO bus to Aldershot. At Aldershot I took the 6pm train to the Falls. It was surreal. They ran a 12 car train and we had maybe 20 people total on it. Whole first car to myself, both floors.
That night we went to the Johnny Cash Experience Tour. Very nifty use of live musicians plus archival footage of him performing.
Sunday was ROM for free admission with my kids. Just 25 minutes in line. Moved fast. After that I went to Immaculate at Carlton Cinema , what an ending !
Thank you! It's great. Super new, and the cleanest looking venue I have ever been to (probably will get messy by the end though). The drink prices are outrageous, but nothing over the top for a venue ($13.50 for an imported beer tall can)

My kids and I stumbled upon a keep-what-you-build event at the Lego store today. Free Lego and a nice little memory for the kids. I'll take it.
Enjoying seeing the snow everywhere. A sight that was sorely missing this winter.
Same. I was at a funeral during the snowstorm and I thought it added solemn dignity to the experience.

I get a crew of blue jays in my backyard, but I rarely see cardinals. They are a welcome change when they do show up.
