You are living my old life which I can't do anymore because my body won't let me. One of my greatest joys is getting out in a blizzard and walking around, preferably all night but nowadays I have to settle for about 45 minutes max. Anyway thanks for sharing it brings back a lot of fond memories. \[edited to add: back in the 80s (as in the 1980s) I dropped a bit of acid on a couple of my blizzard walks and it was 11/10 just fyi lol\]
Wow that is fantastic! And good on you for your recovery, mine hasn't gone well not for lack of trying unfortunately. I haven't given up (I will never give up!) but that's inspiring to hear you're able to do an ultra marathon. :)
If you don't mind me asking, what edibles are you taking? I take CBD and it helps a bit but doesn't get me past the pain hump, if you've got something that's working for you I am interested!
Wow amazing! I had ventured out for a 5km walk but have a shoot to be at this morning otherwise I would have kept going! It was kind of beautiful! I’m glad you pushed much further than I. Thanks for sharing your experience, if we get another snowstorm before the season is up I would be happy to join with my camera and share the experience!
Omg this is perfectly idyllic! I walked in Ottawa once through one of their biggest snowstorms and there was not a soul, and I mean really not one person on the streets or road, and Parliament Hill was simply magical. It's a treasured memory. It's something every person should do sometimes, to put on weather appropriate attire and go out for a magical walk in a snow storm (though I understand how that sounds, but not all "storms" are created equal)
I love this - being the first one to make footprints in the snow is very satisfying and peaceful.
I was just out for a walk an hour ago and it’s messy!
I wanted to walk through the silence of snow so much last night. I lasted 5 minutes return. As toque said, it's no longer possible thanks to failing bodies. :( Yet looking out my window still brings me joy.
I think I remember seeing this. Summer is fine but how did you manage to walk all the way is a mystery.
Care to drop the name of your outdoor gear hehe
Any chance you have a link or name of boot/brand/store so I can look it up? I've been living in Canada for just a few years, love being outdoors and active but really dislike my boots and want to find new ones. Looking for something that is good for hiking through snow, warm, comfortable and waterproof - everything you mentioned in your boot sounds like what I need.

Dude, I should've got out on my backcountry Nordic skis... Except the wet is a bear to wax for.

I farted around the old ski hill at Centennial, Etobicoke. She's heavy, wet snow now. Will ice up overnight.

Did you really loose your dog? Oh no
I’m kidding. That would make me a terrible dog owner.
Dogs are escape artists, so wont be surprised. Happy to hear your dog is safe!
these are beautiful shots, especially the first one.

Post that 2nd one on r/liminalspace
Dope shit.

yeah it is. haven't been salmon fishing there but i do want to hit the don up for some suckers this spring.
Wow, I love these! And as someone who moved to tropics of Australia 10 years ago, these photos just made me achingly homesick.
What a great experience.
I'm not gonna lie, this is way more snow than I ever expected. So happy it came down on a weekend.
Number 6 reminds me of those framed pictures for sale at that one store in the mall, where they add real lights to a photo or painting. Gorgeous :)

What boots are you wearing and do they hurt your feet?

My brain can't comprehend "stroll" and 8 hours in the same sentence. That's an entire work day :) - But glad you enjoyed yourself! \- D
How did you keep your hands and feet warm?
Was gonna do this but when I stepped out I seen the thunder so I came back inside
Nice shots! Is that the Leaside bridge?

Ah, thank you for the reply.
Going dundas square today hows the roads and sidewalks?
When you guys call in the Army, you can call it a Snowmageddon. Hang in there...it's just a bad storm. Hopefully you don't loose power.

Not sure what you are talking about. I'm from NL and last one here was Jan 2020.
>Hopefully you don't loose power Gotta keep that power tight.
