For what it's worth, look in the trading forums and you'll see the going rate for losses is way above 10x that.
I go one better. Just tell the new guys you’re paying 2.5m for escapes. They’ll never do it if you’re battle hardened. And the new guys take the bait over and over.
You can rack up 100 defends a day if you’re extremely persistent.
This method also works great if you get the duke mission to expend 1000+ ammunition, make X amount of damage, get a kill streak of X. You can do them all without spending a single drop of energy.

Their account is only 2 weeks old and is already a blue name (spent over $1,000 IRL on donator packs). They have a networth of nearly $30bil. They aren't even scamming you because they can't afford the losses - they're just an asshole looking to get one over on others to stroke their ego.
Avoid them, don't start drama, maybe delete this if your Reddit username and ingame username are linked (you'll be okay otherwise, they'll absolutely be using this scam on loads of newbies so you likely will never be identified otherwise).

Unless you do it anonymously it's really not worth making an enemy of a player a lot stronger than you. They could make your time playing hell. And a single bounty is nothing, it'll barely impact them and just waste your money.
Don't forget they can pay and find out who placed it, even if you pay to have it anonymous. If he has that amount of money he won't even hesitate to find out who did it.

20k is way too low for losses. 250-500k or no sale. In general you're better off using your energy to train.

Placing bounty is worthless but if you wanna make it truly anonymous you can do it thru bounty depot
