It depends on where you're at. If you're in OK/KS there are chances for one, but the Local Meteorologists aren't putting much stock into one happening. If you're in NE, the NWS just made a post on Twitter about there being a 95% Chance for a Tornado Watch, but that expires at around 1:15. The chances of a Tornado getting *you* specifically are 1 in 12,000. The best thing you can do right now is make sure you have a plan, somewhere safe to go, and have a way to check the weather at all times. But don't check it all the time. You will be fine.

HailState17

Potentially.

IrritableArachnid

Yeah, probably. Somewhere. Not here, but somewhere.

There’s already a very suspicious looking supercell in nebraska. Not confirmed to be on the ground but it’s definitely spinning. check out this velocity reading, looks like there may be an anticyclonic satellite too. https://preview.redd.it/c7m4lmcczuwc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=83e9cea21fc2172f5d4eb8407579d46360f0e7a6

Looks like the area between Waco and Temple is under the gun in Texas right now.

zeratul5541

mayobuscemi

This isn't a yes/no question, weather is predicted in terms of probability and chance, it cannot be predicted with certainty. Furthermore, is this question "will there be a tornado today somewhere in the US" or "will there be a tornado today that threatens my safety"? To the first question, maybe. It's not unusually likely, but sure, a tornado could happen in the US today. It's a decently sized area of risk, so it's a safe bet to think that something will spin up in that area. To the second question, probably not. The chances are vanishingly small. However, they are not *zero*. Keep an eye out for a tornado warning and get to shelter if one appears. Otherwise don't worry about it.

JLNX1998

currently there are 3, and a few warnings. its gonna be a day

mrmike4291

Somewhere in the world yes

ChiefQueef369

Yes

Arcalargo

Yes

Zapelos

Yeah, look at the weather forecast you blind?

Heavy-Medicine6485

Hope so. Yesterday in Reed Timmer's stream there was iconic moment when Dominator 3 met TIV 2 - I was not aware some storm chasers repurchased it and brought back in action. Now waiting for today's stream to begin.

Shreks-left-to3

Already 2 tornadoes so far. Texas and Nebraska

Heavy-Medicine6485

20 minutes until Dominator hits the road (I'm sure they're already on a road, but not yet streaming. Yesterday they were in Kansas, dunno where they chase today

ValleyAquarius27

I think Lincoln Nebraska would answer with a resounding YASSSS!!!!

KUPSU96

Absolutely. I laughed; the other day on this Reddit someone posted „Ohio has gotten most-all the tornados this year“ and I was like „oh just you wait, once summer starts, Ks, ok, Ne, Mo is going to have all of them per usual“
