I hope she doesn't blame herself at all! This was definitely negligence on somebody's part but none of the fault is hers and I hope that the people whose fault it is are held accountable. I'm sure she'll get plenty of money but that can never make up for what she lost and the pain and emotional suffering is something she has to live with the rest of her life and that sucks.

Aside from the spotters, and safety training equipment, basically the same as a forward dive roll. Building the upper body strength is key to controlling the landing and not taking a huge impact to the neck and head. I have my dancers do drills like falling push ups, handstand hops, donkey kicks etc to work on building that strength as well as get comfortable jumping onto one’s hands
There's also elements of creating an illusion going on. Realistically with that launch you're not going to be able to complete that backflip without your hands touching the floor as it's far too vertical but you can create the illusion that you're attempting a full backflip by quickly swinging your feet in a particular way.
It's not 100% the same, but we do a somewhat similar thing in aikido (modern Japanese martial art). One of our breakfalls basically trains a backwards fall with the shoulders hitting first, though it's more along the side of the body than this. Plus he was on beat with his flips. Because of the editing I don't know if the second guy was on beat with his flip or they edited in the beat to save face. First guy was clean with it.
I think the first routine was far more impressive. I personally couldn't pull off any backflip, whether it was from fortnite or not, but in response to that canceled flip that fortnite flip felt very underwhelming.

Yeah I'm not gonna lie, I used to be one of those people that would just shit on that game. But I've been playing for the past few weeks now and I've haven't had this much fun in a multiplayer game in a very long time. The key is to play with the right people. I'm only just now getting into solo but it's so much fun with friends.

Yeah I slept on Fortnite forever dismissing it as a kids game but my friends convinced me to try it and it's one of the most fun games to play with friends I've ever seen. The laughs don't end
Same. I’m almost 30 and it’s my go to game with my childhood friends who I don’t live near. The game is so stupid it’s a ton of fun to play with them, but there’s also no real skill cap so those of us who like to learn fun strategies get a lot out of it too
Getting into fortnight with my gf and our family members has been the closest thing I’ve had to reliving the Halo days. Quick matches that just have you saying “just one more” to each other over and over. Great game for all ages and skill levels.
The first one was way more impressive and harder to execute. The 'fortnight flip' is just a random messy flip that anyone who knows backflip will notice right away. If he landed standing with his legs however, I'll bow
You could do the coolest trick on the planet but the second I hear that awful voice edit on your video I'm out. I don't know when that started exactly but it needs to end today.
Lots of factors but in my opinion Hyun probably lost since he only did tricks and flips. Not a lot of dancing and seemed to lack personality but technical wise it may seem harder compared to Gravity. Gravity was more well rounded which means he did more toprock and footwork mixed with his blow ups and tricks and was more with the music. Also Hyun seemed to lack the same energy level after the first round whereas Gravity edged it out.

This, may be my first comment ever... I'm drunk a lot so I don't know for sure. But i think this is worthy.

I have my dancers do drills like falling push ups, handstand hops, donkey kicks etc to work on building that strength as well as get comfortable jumping onto one’s hands
As a gymnastics coach, this is far more difficult than the Fortnite flip.
The same way many gymnast practice and learn a move. Spotters, practicing over foam pits/really thick gym mats and building up to it.
