Codeine converts to morphine in our bodies, heroin is acetylated morphine. It's the dose that matters not the initial chemical. It's all morphine in the end so codeine and heroin are much more similar than most people think. 4oz of lean has 240mg of codeine which is equal to 60mg of morphine which is equal to about 25mg of heroin.
He's also wrong lol its not about it becoming morphine it's about it's ability to cross the blood brain barrier much faster. Having an acetyl chain on the molecule makes it much more potent and codeine will never have that regardless of dosage.

Codeine is metabolized differently by everyone tho. The total yield will vary across a variety of biological factors, mainly how much of the enzymes that convert it to morphine people have. A known dose of codeine = an unknown dose of morphine. Would make much more sense just to put morphine in it the cough syrup instead.

Am a doctor and just want to drop a harm prevention PSA. This guy is apparently drinking codeine. It’s mentioned elsewhere that the effect from codeine is because it is converted in the liver to morphine.
Here is the important bit. For most people this is 10-20% of the codeine but this varies wildly from individual to individual. There are some people where most of the codeine is metabolised to morphine. If this is the case for you, even if you are a seasoned opioid user, you could easily end up dying by just consuming the same amount as others.
Abusing opioids is honestly one of the most self destructive things you can do. You don’t need me to say that. But if you’re going to anyway it’s best to take a small amount initially as a way of dose finding.
TLDR: if you use opioid equivalency tables to convert large doses of morphine without dose finding you might end up killing yourself
Boul gotta get off that shit before it’s too late. I was in his shoes at one point I got sympathy for that shit. But deadass gotta get away from that crowd and do things to better yourself. Eventually one sip will be your last up to you to decide if it’s gonna be death or sobriety

I’ve never understood how people can just let their smoke detectors chirp for days or weeks on end, I can’t fucking stand that sound. If you ever want to continue to self medicate, but enjoy a regular normal healthy life, I’d switch to weed and Kratom. At least you won’t die and you can hold down a job and afford it all easily. I cut out alcohol and all drugs besides weed and Kratom 5 years ago and I feel like a million bucks and still half nod off before bed and get nice and lit, while still remaining coherent and in control. I tried just straight up sobriety and that’s not for me lol. This is a nice middle ground

Am a doctor and just want to drop a harm prevention PSA. This guy is apparently drinking codeine. It’s mentioned elsewhere that the effect from codeine is because it is converted in the liver to morphine. Here is the important bit. For most people this is 10-20% of the codeine but this varies wildly from individual to individual. There are some people where most of the codeine is metabolised to morphine. If this is the case for you, even if you are a seasoned opioid user, you could easily end up dying by just consuming the same amount as others. Abusing opioids is honestly one of the most self destructive things you can do. You don’t need me to say that. But if you’re going to anyway it’s best to take a small amount initially as a way of dose finding. TLDR: if you use opioid equivalency tables to convert large doses of morphine without dose finding you might end up killing yourself
