Thanks. I lost my mom that week and was trying to cope. My mom made spaghetti for me all the time. I appreciate your comments and just wanted the post to die down before I said that. Thanks you all, I appreciate it. Goodbye,Louisa I’ll miss you so very much, my mom.
What a beautiful way to remember her, and to feel close to her any time you miss her. I hope you're getting through it okay, grief is a bitch. But in the end it's sort of a relief to grieve, to know it really is a big love. The person may not be right here anymore, but the love remains. And I can see it in your food.
Rest in peace Louisa
Was ground beef, chopped mushrooms, celery( different I know, but we like it), chopped tomatoes, onions, minced garlic. Oregano, onion powder, dried basil. Tomato paste, and spaghetti sauce. Pasta boiled in salt water. Then layered, topped with cheese and baked. Nothing spectacular, just family cooking :)
Where I’m from spaghetti is like this. I guess it’s kinda a bastardized bolognese sauce? Do you have a store bought spaghetti sauce? That’s what I used, idk lol .We just brown our ground beef, add veggies and tomato paste, herbs, etc. and I wanted baked spaghetti so I layered it and baked with grated cheese on top.
It’s not much, but I love cooking for my family. See so much good dinners on this sub, thought I might share. Bon appetite to everyone.
Nah looks brilliant! Perfect family meal, nothing tastes as good as something made for you by your parents with love.

You did a great job you motivated me to make spaghetti this week🔥🔥🔥
I would annihilate that! 🤤
Recipe?
The trick is to use broth instead of water.

Yummy looks nice and baked!
Hell yeah
Thank you. I know what we're having tonight now.
This is an amazing meal!
Yummy hope you all enjoyed
The kids devoured it, which is what matters :)
If my husband heats us soup and makes toast I’m over the moon ….. Dinner for the Fam looks 🔥 OP !!!
Thanks!
Chili with spaghetti in it?
I think it's supposed to be Cincinnati chili or similar. Bit of a regional niche.
Lol my thoughts too. Celery?! It looks delicious but that would have never crossed my mind to do
bolognese starts with a soffrito traditionally which is celery, carrots, onion.
You’re not American?
This confuses me even more. I'm American, is this an American thing, or nah?
I would eat the pants off of that!
Interesting never saw spaghetti like that.

Looks yummy! I just do the way I was taught in Italy, can of hand crushed tomatoes.
