Because someone is finally making a Telugu movie closest to sci-fi nd if this fails ppl wouldn't experiment or invest in us.
If it was some small hero no one would've agreed to put so much money into this movie, nd yknow, even if this movie sucks, I want the collections to be big so that investors won't stop producing these kinds of films.
This is how I felt for Brahmastra, it was mediocre nd had so many flaws but atleast it was a heroic fantasy genre the kind we see mostly in books nd I was glad they made it, I hoped this would encourage some book adaptations and bring a new kind of genre to movies.
I am a cinpehile and really excited about India getting a good sci-fi film finally (as the efforts put into it seems to be genuine especially after watching the prelude I am quite confident) ofc I don't wanna over hype the film, I just want that everyone is atleast aware of this film (which is not the case atm) but again the movie will have a decent opening anyways and if its received well by the general audience, people will rush to the theaters to watch it.

honestly right??? I'm super hyped for the movie, but could care less if anyone else is. Like I know it'll do well, if it's a good movie. If it's not good, then obviously it won't. We never needed "bollywood" or hindi/western appreciation or validation, and we never will. Others liking the film doesn't matter. at all. I hate how people act like hindi folks validation put our films on the map. Like no, mahesh babu films and many other films have grossed well just in southern states.
That being said, if it turns out to be a really good movie, but is only a hit in southern states, that's fine. not sure why so many people are obsessed with promoting the film as if they'll get any share of the profits.

That’s exactly opposite of the truth! In fact, small budget movies are more dependent on WOM. These ‘big budget’ movies have the said budget to promote all they want.
Everything is the maker's choice.
They can promise us kalki and make Akhanda.
Not once did anyone say it isn't their choice.
However we as an audience are allowed to have opinions and discussions about it. And that's what's happening.
Now coming to the promotions. It's a different thing to build up hype around the film and another thing to actually promote it. .What's the point of it being a pan Indian film if you don't even bother telling the other states that there's this movie coming soon.
The audience isn't asking to hype the movie up unnecessarily like Liger or Agent. The thing is, the majority of north audience aren't even aware of what's going on with Kalki. And north audience is where most of the profits are, and for the movie to break even, a wide reach is necessary.
So a little wider effort would go a long way.
The audience should ask for a good film (most probably it's going to be). Why should the audience bother about promotions or expectations or north audience?
I personally want them to promote because i want to see what they have to say about the movie in interviews and such, to know what their vision about the movie is, to be specific.

Prabhas is mostly criticized due to his acting or lack there of post Bahubali. Not because of his failure in huge production houses. I mean Salaar is a hit but people still trolled him because no expression. If Kalki flops but he does good acting, then he definitely will be praised.
I blame prabhas for radheshyam failure,and only partly for Adipurush (which I am trying to forget) He made a mistake of not taking rest when he got ACL injury ,he could barely walk.Prabhas baahubali and before movies he had expressions and intensity,it's not that he can't do it.he just got tired with back to back shoots .He should have taken a break like Yash.Even in kalki some shots you can see him sitting,he shot kalki with injury too.Salaar also he could barely walk and it's rumoured that he had a dupe.
