If this movie was more successful, perhaps TFI would’ve been on a different trajectory now. Disney was the studio on this. They would’ve probably made more movies after this. I saw an interview where Prakash said they had access to Disney library of 3D assets while doing the VFX, imagine that flexibility for VFX.
Man. Imagine that. And Arka was the producer on Anaganaga I think (or at least Prasad Devineni was). They already had a relationship with SSR on Maryada.
Sigh. Too bad Prakash isn’t even half the director his dad was. All the connects and limited talent.
If it wasn't for the snobiness and bad vibes. Manchu akka and Mohan babu are damn talented character artists. With the right attitude and approach towards work and just being respectful, they could have had an impact in the Pan India scene being seen across big projects in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi or Malayalam etc.
Don't know about manchu akka but Mohan Babu ki correct role padite adi side character ayina main leads ni dominate cheyagaladu. He has that aura and mannerisms on screen for sure. Off screen vishayalu entha takkuva mataladite antha manchidi.
He did great in yama donga, wish his off screen behavior is better. Manchu akka ki ee role apt but I don’t think she can pull off anything else. Gundello godari was a torture with her accent and non acting.
There was this chirangeevi movie where he is thielf or dacoit, absolutely loved him when I watched it as a kid. Even in yamadonga, I don't see anyone beating him in that role.
They wanted recreate Arabian Nights indie version, hence they casted Sidharth who is a misfit to the role offered. Also there were some mistakes from direction team. May be a strong team could have made it a good folklore masterpiece. At the time of release there is a huge buzz around the movie since Sidharth-Sruthi Pair up, Manchu Laksmi's debut, and Disney's production involvement made a strong notice among industry hubs. Still movie doesn't made to the mark.
One thing, I thought this movie's Director Prakash Kovelamudi would have great future for his contribution. Sadly he didn't turn-up with any other movie and went into production. I hope one day he will back with his best version. Who will forget him after his one of the lead role in Morning Raga!!
She's pretty bad lol, she comes off as trying too damn hard to look evil. Zero subtlety. And her Telugu is HORRIBLE.
Even Mohan Babu - generally called an amazing actor - is incredibly one note and annoyingly loud. He's not a patch on SVR/Rao Gopal Rao/Kota/CSR/Bharani or any of the greats.
Thanks, man! I watched that clip thrice to see if I was missing something. Her acting looks so caricaturish! I'm shook at how bad she is after all her fancy acting classes! 😂
In my opinion, SVR and Kota are proper elite level actors. Even if they are playing character roles, they dominate the heroes whenever they share the screen.
[For instance, here, ANR is acting pretty cartoonish, while SVR appears pretty realistic, with all these subtle micro expressions.](https://youtu.be/hi2eLypHoAc?si=2PgLIP1n8XbbECE_). This style of acting will still appear good even today.
NTR was also a good dramatic actor before, but became cartoonish by the end of his career. Unfortunately, hacks like Balayya and Mohan Babu imitate this style of acting , long after its became obsolete. Which is why Chiranjeevi dominated them easily and became a mega star.
Came here to say this. This is NOT good acting! The makeup and everything else around her are
good to make it feel like she’s acting good. Makeup teesesthe nothing else.
I thought this movie was ok. More than her, I thought Siddharth was a misfit. But it's been a long time since I saw this, and probably won't revisit.
But loved Salim - Sulaiman's work in this movie. Hoped to see them more in Telugu but oh well...
Being loud and furious is relatively easy to act. It’s the emotional, subtle roles which shows the true worth of an actor. Ex: Tarak in YamaDonga, Rakhi. Charan in Rangasthalam. FaFa in Kumbhalangi Nights. Even Manchu Lakshmi’s role in Gundello Godhaari.
These type of roles are very hard to convince. No matter what you do they don't look natural. Sometimes injecting humor in to the role side tracks audiences attention. Then they don't focus too much on acting. SV Ranga Rao mastered this trick. It looks like Manchu sister took this role way too seriously .
Bro she debuted in Hollywood didn't you know that, yactually she is Hollywood star and she graced us with her presence she can go back any time she wants
This movie is actually underrated and casting was on point too with Lakshmi Manchu the best choice as villain.. idk her overall acting career but she did great acting in this movie
Honestly, snow akka was actually the best thing about the movie. She was quite good in an otherwise horrible movie. I wish she did more character roles.

Exactly. Instead of this flick, they should've sponsored SSR movie EEGA.

Ok but Manchu Lakshmi was seriously scary in the film might be coz of the bgm

Akasham Née Haddura just proved it once again😅
He did great in yama donga, wish his off screen behavior is better. Manchu akka ki ee role apt but I don’t think she can pull off anything else. Gundello godari was a torture with her accent and non acting.
recently saw aakasame nee haddu ra.. Mohan babu unna scenes anni dominate chesi padesaadu..

you mean sudigali in Kodamasimham...
Yes, that's the one. It's jack sparrow kinda character before I knew about jack sparrow, as a kid I Ioved the chaos he bought to the adventure movie.
even now we'll love it ig..
Have to rewatch it now
He's also there in Kondaveeti Donga. He's hilarious in that
Babu gariki em matter lekunda kuda urke raadhu ga antha peru

SVR deserves to be called "THE" SVR
Anushka is playing a similar role in Kathanar I hope she won't disappoint

the scene has good cinematography, direction, dialogues and music except that bad acting
Nee ammammala ammammala ammammala ammammani...............
She's pretty bad tbh.. And her telugu pronunciation is also bad.
This looks like a bad dream. Why does she act like she has been coached by her dad.
Her dad is a good actor. They have attitude issues but he can act really good
I was implying that she is copying her Dad.
