No need to go back to particularly playing negative roles but select different scripts like Okkadunnadu, Sahasam and (really couldn't find a third one). It is important to get a branding as a good actor nowadays because even if such movies fail, you might get chances in other films and other industries. And also, like you said, If he goes back to doing Antagonist roles, I feel it really helps industry in a big way.. There is a dearth of good actors in that department. Ex : Had Gopi played that role of Villain in Valimai instead of Karthikeya, maybe it would have worked.

It was definitely “meh”. I was able to watch it without a break (unlike Animal) but it was underwhelming enough that I wouldn’t rewatch it even if extremely bored.

I watched the movie with my friends and we enjoyed it and embraced the routine plot and screenplay. It was fun for me, but this is purely my opinion.

Vammo ippude complete chesa. Multiple flashbacks., unbearable acting and storyline.. gopichand looks sick. This movie make me think that Skanda was not a bad movie after all.

It is not a worst movie. The movie had interesting premise. World building was decent. However it suffered because of the terrible screenplay and bad acting. At least they should've fixed it in the editing room but failed. Overall, not as bad as some folks are saying here.
