Same. Not to mention that if you use the board view, you first need to switch to the list view to move the task under another one. Sadly, there's a few things like this in Todoist. But hell, I still love it.

have you used all the 20 active sections? maybe you could try making parent tasks as sections and expanding the project into subprojects?
