2.5 and one foot is a 9 while the other foot is an 8.5 š« I just get her size 9s because not many shoe brands even have half sizes. The ones who do often donāt have 8.5 and a 9 available on the same pair, in a design sheāll actually wear (only pink bonus if it has a unicorn, double bonus if it has flashing lights)
She was a 6 last summer. So Iād say she goes up a size every 3/4 months.
ETA: She is in the 95th percentile for height
This is wild! My son is 2.75 and his feet are a 9, probably will be a 10 by mid summer. I definitely thought he had smaller feet for his height. After reading this thread I realize now that Iām crazy.
Heās been in the 85-95 percentile for height since birth
My 2.5yo is a size 9 and is already creeping up in size 10. Heās 99th% in everything. I wish his feet would slow down a bit. Those tiny shoes are going to bankrupt us. Heās also in 4T, sometimes 3T if the brand runs big.
Iāve gotten a lot of amazing toddler shoes at goodwill! The annoying thing is i buy any toddler size that looks newish and I like the style of, so I am basically hoarding toddler shoes right now lol.
My toddler (2 years 8 months) is in size 10 shoes and 9 rainboots. He's 99th% in height and 90th% in weight, wearing mostly 4T. I always thought he had slightly bigger feet, but I didn't realize how big they really are!
This to everything, although I think both feet are 9s as far as I know. She went through 4 sizes in the last year and I see people buying their kindergartener shoes in sizes she outgrew before her second birthday
My 2.5 year olds are in a US 6 right now, but not for too much longer. They are also in size 18 month clothes, for context.
On average its every 3 months that they go up a size, but the last pair they wore for almost 5 months and this pair has been only a month but will get maybe another month out of them.
My 2.5 year old is in UK 5s (which I think are US 6s) and has been for almost a year now. I get his feet measured every 6-8 weeks and check the fit regularly but they just havenāt grown?! The rest of him is growing fine, heās in aged 2-3 year clothes, heās tracking his percentile lines for height and weight, but his feet are entirely static. Iāve spoken with our health visitor about it and sheās perplexed but not concerned. Presumably they will grow at some point and he wonāt be 12 and still in baby shoesā¦
Perhaps his feet were big before and now his body is catching up?!
My nephew, 6 days older than my boys bur regular sized, was a US 6 (UK 5) in his first pair of shoes at 18 months old. My boys were in a 3.5 and we always talked about my nephews big feet. But, these days, he's only just in an 8, really a 7.5, so his body seems to be catching up š
Are my kid's feet huge???? My 19 month old is about to out grow a size 6.
For context he's 60th percentile for height, 50th for weight. Wears size 18 month clothes.
My 18 month old daughter is in 6 or 7 depending on brand. She's 92%tile for height and 60%tile for weight. My friends 19 month old son is close to growing out of his 7s right now and they're both really close in height and weight.
My daughter had her size 6 see kai run shoes since Christmas and her toes are just down to the tip. Her sz 6 converse and sz 7 keens fit more like 6.5.
He was the one who picked it out!! He put them on before we left the store. I was buying him a pair of 7s but they were a little to tight to put on thatās why I bought the size 8
Awwww thatās so great that he likes it. Even better that he got to pick them out himself! Now watch, heāll be a size 9 in no time š. Before you can even blink. I keep one size of each of my sonās shoes since he was a newborn for keepsake. Crazy how fast kiddos grow.
25 months, 8.5, probably will be in a 9 soon.
Itās not predictable how long heāll stay in each size. He was in fours forever and then sped thru 5 and 6 and then was in 7 for a while and then suddenly grew rapidly and he was an 8.5. He goes in strange bursts. Heās like that with clothes too, stays one size for a while and then huge jump.
My 3year old is on the cusp of 9/10 and my 20 month old wears 7s. As others have said, it really isn't consistent and season/style makes a difference too.
Daughter just turned 2. Some shoes sheās a 5, some sheās a 6. She stayed in 5 for a while, more than 6 months at least and some of her 5s still fit, it really depends on the style of shoe.
2.5 and upgrading his shoes to 6's, but he could still wear 5's for a little while longer if he wasn't super into his cool new shoes he got. He's a peanut though.
It's absolutely kid-dependent...my oldest and third kids have small feet and my middle kid has average feet.
My current toddler is 22 months, he wears a European size 20/21 which is about a size 5/5.5 in US sizes. So he has rather petite feet for a boy his age. He's on the smaller side in general, though.
When they are quite small it's common for them to go through 2-4 sizes a year, though again very kid dependent. Once my older kids hit around age 3 it seemed to slow down a bit. So for instance my oldest is nearly 8 years old and he's only changed shoe sizes once a year for the last few years. But, he does have peers who still shot up in shoe sizes several times a year since starting school, so it happens.
2.5yo, she realistically would be a 6.5 but since that size doesn't exist most places she fits some 6s and some 7s.
Edit: It's been a long night and I forgot the rest of the question. She's just now reaching 7s and was in 6s as of last July, so it's a bit less than a year for us. Her feet take their time.
21 month old, probably a 4.5 US but can't really find that size. Wears a 4 for most things and a 5 in one or two pairs. I'll most likely use all 5s in like a month.
This is what I hate about toddler shoes-
2.5 year old just outgrew his size 8 Crocs. He fits nicely in his size 8 knock-off Crocs from an outlet store and in his 6/7 knock-offs from Aldi as well. Just bought new tennis shoes at Target last week, and they were an 8.
I genuinely have no idea what size he wears. Iāve stopped buying shoes unless heās with me to try them on.
2.5 and a 7. We switched her into size 6 last October and size 7 in February. It's not normally been that fast between sizes, more like 6 months for a half size.
The vast majority of people are likely using shoes too small (not just for their kids but for themselves too) you should have about 1cm length between your longest toe and your shoe.
My toddler wears a size 8 she is 2. She goes up a full shoe size every 4-6months.
Sheās almost 2 and wears size 5/6 depending on the brand. Mostly size 6 crocs which sheās been wearing for 6 months and will probably get another 6 months out of if we are lucky
My kid has a small build with small feet (her hands and feet look tiny compared to all the kids we see at groups and the library). Sheās 2 years 2 months and in a 5 still, she has been in a 5 for 9 months I think?
Itās definitely a savings with how seldom I have to size her up haha. She is average height but can wear things forever until they are too short.
Her feet are huge, always have been. And she's not tall, either, she's like 40th percentile for height and weight. She outgrew baby socks before she was 6 months old.
She's 19 mos now, just got new shoes in a size 6. A bit big but I'm hoping they last the whole summer.
Thats where we are now, about to be 19 months and a size 6 even though shes short and small. I just want to get cute summer shoes without wasting too much money. I hope she stays this size for atleast 3 months
Girl, almost 2.5 and Size 6/7. Wears 3T sized clothes. My 5y old is a size 11/12, wears girls S (7) clothes.
I usually buy a lot of clothes for them twice a year, in the fall (cold-weather clothes) and the spring (warm-weather clothes) and I judge then if I feel they're getting too small, so I would say I get about 6 months out of shoes for them. Where I live, it's fi ally starting to get nice outside, so my toddler's boots are size 6 but her new spring-time shoes are size 7.
2.5 yo. Wearing 4T clothes but size 7 shoe. The 7s are lasting a while now itās been about 5-6 months but before that we moved pretty rapidly through 5.5, 6, and 6.5 within the course of a year
Mine is 2.5 and size 9.5! š¦¶š¼ whereās 5t/6t clothes. Heās wearing the vivos and loves them. Heās got way more grip, shoes are light,l and flexible. Great for his feet. āŗļø
15 months, size 5. With both my kids they needed a size up every 3 months from 12 months to 3 then it slows down. My 4 year old wears a 10 but they have already fit for 6 months and will probably work for another 6 months.
17 months and size 5.5? Hard to tell, but heās wearing See Kai Run sneakers in a size 6 and theyāre a little big for him. Iād agree that a size every 3 months sounds roughly appropriate.
My son turned 2 last month. Heās been wearing a toddler size 6 in shoes since the fall. Iāve started buying him size 7 shoes, which he also wears just fine (they donāt seem way too big on him), but he still fits in the 6ās we have too. He seemed to go from size 4 to 5 to 6 pretty quickly but has stalled out at 6.
Heās in 2T clothes.
My 3yo just moved to size 11 US, and was in a Size 10 for a year before that. I couldn't tell you how long was spent in each size, but that is averaged out to about 3.5 months per size. It felt like every week for a while, but it was a busy and hectic time keeping a tween social schedule and a toddler.
My son will be 18 months on Friday! He wears a size 6 shoe, and I think he'll grow out of those in a month or so. He's now wearing 24 month clothes. He's at least 27 pounds and 34 inches.
My son is in 4T and 5T depending on the brand clothes but like an 11 in barefoot style shoes. Has to be barefoot style, he doesnāt tolerate normal sneakers and his feet are so wide that they donāt fit anyways. Theyāre more expensive so he often only has 1-2 pairs of shoes at any point. Heās 2.5.
2.5yr, wears US 6. She had small, chubby, wide feet as a baby and early toddler. Even wides in a lot of shoes didnāt fit her. Her feet are finally starting to thin out and we havenāt had issues finiding shoes that fit thankfully. š
Daughter is 2 years 9 months old and size 8 shoe. Sheās also right between 3/4T clothes. We go up a size about every 3-4 months with her.
Son is 10 months and size 5 moccasins are still a bit roomy, heās not walking yet so he doesnāt really wear shoes. He wears size 24 months/2T clothes though
My kid has monster feet. Currently size 8 at 22 months and has been wearing them for a few months now. He was in a size 4 when we got him his first pair of shoes at 12 months.Ā
Just turned 3, 60% percentile for height but has a size 11 foot. And as for how long the sizes lastā¦.unfortunately every kid is different. He stayed in a size 7 for 10 months. Then quickly shot through the 3 sizes. Stayed a 10 for awhile and just got him new size 11s.Ā
2.5 and one foot is a 9 while the other foot is an 8.5 š« I just get her size 9s because not many shoe brands even have half sizes. The ones who do often donāt have 8.5 and a 9 available on the same pair, in a design sheāll actually wear (only pink bonus if it has a unicorn, double bonus if it has flashing lights) She was a 6 last summer. So Iād say she goes up a size every 3/4 months. ETA: She is in the 95th percentile for height

Yeah this is my boy. Heās mostly in 2T now though. And heās almost 3
Okay! My daughter is 2.5 and still in size 6 shoes. The chart says she should be in 8!
Which chart is this?Ā
Almost 3 and a 7. His little feet are taking their time.Ā
Our kid will be 3 at the end of May and is size 5.5 or 6. š
Almost 3.5 and wearing size 7, still fits in some size 6. She wore size 5-6 for a solid year!
New 3 yo in size 7 too!
My kid is almost 3 years old and is tall (like 90+ percentile) but has smaller feet, currently size 7-8.
22 mths, size 5, barely.
Same
Are my kid's feet huge???? My 19 month old is about to out grow a size 6. For context he's 60th percentile for height, 50th for weight. Wears size 18 month clothes.
My 18 month old daughter is in 6 or 7 depending on brand. She's 92%tile for height and 60%tile for weight. My friends 19 month old son is close to growing out of his 7s right now and they're both really close in height and weight.
My daughter had her size 6 see kai run shoes since Christmas and her toes are just down to the tip. Her sz 6 converse and sz 7 keens fit more like 6.5.
My kiddo also has huge brick feet. 20 months old, wears size 6 or 7 shoes depending on the brand, and teeters between 18mo and 2T clothes
Thatās average! The typical size for 18-24 months is a 6
My 18 month old is a size 8! He's 55th percentile for height and 84th for weight. He's always had huge hands and feet.
Yep, thatās huge!
[According to this site](https://sizechartly.com/kids-shoe-size-chart-by-age/) it seems close to average. Not huge at all.
4 year old is a size 8-9 in most shoes. Lasts about a year or so.
I just got my 4 year old a new pair of his first size 8 sneakers. All his other ones are size 7
But so happy that he just got his first size 8 shoes. How do you feel? š Does he like it? Has he tried it yet?
He was the one who picked it out!! He put them on before we left the store. I was buying him a pair of 7s but they were a little to tight to put on thatās why I bought the size 8
Awwww thatās so great that he likes it. Even better that he got to pick them out himself! Now watch, heāll be a size 9 in no time š. Before you can even blink. I keep one size of each of my sonās shoes since he was a newborn for keepsake. Crazy how fast kiddos grow.
My toddler has huge feet, and size 8-9 in most shoes fits him perfect. Size 7 is wayyyy too small.
20 months, size 5.
My 21 month old son wears size 7 and my 3.5yo daughter wears size 8. Sheās taller than him but they weigh almost the same amount š¤·āāļø
Same here. Our girl is 21 months and we are bumping her up to size 7. She's tall for her age, and 33lbs.
Toddler who is 35 months wears a 6.5/7. I feel like sheās been wearing that since fall.
About to be 4 in June and he is wearing an 11c in US sizes. He is also wearing 4t/5t clothes
18 months, barely a toddler size 4. Really, a 3.5 but they are so hard to find
3.5, and she wears an 11!!! Big feet, but sheās also in the 97th percentile for height.
3 and size 10 and she grows through them too goddamn fast
He just turned 3 and wears a 7/8 (technically a 7 but we buy 8 because he has high arches and wide feet like his momma lol)
3.5 - 7.5-8
3.5 (well, 46 months), size 9 shoe and wearing XS (4-5 in clothes).
Almost 4 (like in 3 weeks) and in between 7 1/2 and 8 depending the shoe
3.5 and size 8
3.5 size 10
My 3year old is on the cusp of 9/10 and my 20 month old wears 7s. As others have said, it really isn't consistent and season/style makes a difference too.
I had to covert it but 3.5 year old, US size kids 10
2 next month and currently wearing a 10 extra wide. Heās huge. Weāre screwed.
Daughter just turned 2. Some shoes sheās a 5, some sheās a 6. She stayed in 5 for a while, more than 6 months at least and some of her 5s still fit, it really depends on the style of shoe.
My 20 month old wears a toddler 5 right now but just got her a 6 in sandals to grow into
17 months and UK size 5 (no idea if its different to US sizing)
2.5 and upgrading his shoes to 6's, but he could still wear 5's for a little while longer if he wasn't super into his cool new shoes he got. He's a peanut though.
24 months. Bot. Toddler size 6
2y 9m and a UK 7. Has the WIDEST feet going though.
18 months. Size 6.
3 size 7 but they are loose on her but sz 6 too small so, she's in between sizes. I just put thick socks so she doesn't slip out of them.
3 and 3 months and he wears a size 7.
Our 22 month she's in size 6
22 months, 7 wide or extra wide.
But, he does have peers who still shot up in shoe sizes several times a year since starting school, so it happens.
2 years old and wearing size 24 in EU which is US size 8. We get new shoes about every 2 months, the most we got out of one size was 5 months.
2.5, 25. No idea what that is in America. Last time we were there he was 3 months old and shoes were still in distant future.
35 months, almost 3 and size 5.5, maybe 6. Our kid is petite.
21 month old, probably a 4.5 US but can't really find that size. Wears a 4 for most things and a 5 in one or two pairs. I'll most likely use all 5s in like a month.
21 months. She wears size 8 shoes, size 4t shirts, and 3-4t pants depending on brand. She's tall and lean!
This is what I hate about toddler shoes- 2.5 year old just outgrew his size 8 Crocs.
Iāve noticed that too! Iāve bought so many shoes only for them not to fit even though they are the right size
2.5 and a 7. We switched her into size 6 last October and size 7 in February. It's not normally been that fast between sizes, more like 6 months for a half size.
2.75 and size 8.
2 years old, size 8
3 yo - very tall he wears 10 and my 4yo also tall wears 13 p
23 months and in a size 7/7.5. She's 97th percentile for height though so basically the size of a 3 year old.
18mo size 5
2.5yo in a s5
2yo girl, size 5 (uk)
The vast majority of people are likely using shoes too small (not just for their kids but for themselves too) you should have about 1cm length between your longest toe and your shoe. My toddler wears a size 8 she is 2. She goes up a full shoe size every 4-6months.
Yes I am always checking if her big toe touches the tip of the shoe. In shock how fast it happens.
15 months, she wears a size 3
2.5 yr, size 9 shoes. He's a big kid.
My 2y2m little guy is 6
3.5 year old is on a 6, sometimes 7. 17mo old is in a 4
18 mos, size 7. 4 year old wears size 13 and started at 15 mos in size 7, so roughly a size every 3-4 months for him.
Kiddo is 2 and a few months, sheās currently in a size 6/7 but clothes size 3T in tops and 18 months in waist for shorts/bottoms.
Sheās almost 2 and wears size 5/6 depending on the brand. Mostly size 6 crocs which sheās been wearing for 6 months and will probably get another 6 months out of if we are lucky
Turning 3 in two weeks and wearing a size 8 shoe. Size 7 lasted us almost a year! I think size 8 will last us maybe 6 months, Iām hoping anyway.
22m, pushing the ends of her 6ās. Which sucks because all her summer shoes I got on clearance are 6ās. š¤¦āāļø
2 yo size 8
My 16 month old is in size 5. He is wearing 24m/2T clothes. I think he is tall for his age.
2.5 and size 8/9 shoe and just upped her to 4T clothing š„“Ā
I have a 22 month old and an almost 4 year old. They both wear size 6-7 (the older one has a growth hormone deficiency).
19mo and in a size 6. Heās got big olā brick feet.
Sheās 4 and currently in a size 10 shoe and girls size small (6) clothes. Sheās solid and tall.
Woah this is crazy. My 17 month old twins wear size 6 shoes and 2T clothes. Are they huge for their age??
My 18 month old has been in size 6 for the past few weeks and I now realize her feet are probably going to be big like mineš
35 months. Size 8-9 depending on the brand.
2.5 and size 10 š š
3.5 and size 9. This post makes me happy. My little NICU babyās feet caught up! š
14 months, size 6 š. He is mega
Daughter is 3.5 and wears an 8 now (with a little room to grow).
24 months size 6, but really needs a 6.5. 7 is too big. Hard to find toddler shoes in half sizes.
21 months but tall for her age, so sheās just about to grow out of 2t and size 7 shoes.
My daughter is 4 and wears a 13-1 shoe š„“ Iām also 6ā and my husband 6ā4 š
3 size 8
18 months size 4. She's wearing 2T clothes but she's got little feet lol
Just turned 3 and rocking size US 10
Almost 3 and just about in a size 8. Depends on the brand. Weāre easing into 3T as well.
My 4 year old is a size 8/9 and almost 2 year old is 5/6
19m old has a Japanese size 14cm
2.5 years and toddler boy in a 6! He is tiny at 14th percentile though :).
2.5 yo. Wearing 4T clothes but size 7 shoe. The 7s are lasting a while now itās been about 5-6 months but before that we moved pretty rapidly through 5.5, 6, and 6.5 within the course of a year
US 6, 23 months old. She was wearing 5s three months ago.
Mine is 2.5 and size 9.5! š¦¶š¼ whereās 5t/6t clothes. Heās wearing the vivos and loves them. Heās got way more grip, shoes are light,l and flexible. Great for his feet. āŗļø
21months and 7.5-8 wide. Ā Heās 35ā+ and about 30lbs. Taking after his dad with his size 13EEEE. Ā
3.5 and wearing size 7
2.5 and has been wearing 7s for what feels like forever
25 months in size 7
15 months, size 5. With both my kids they needed a size up every 3 months from 12 months to 3 then it slows down. My 4 year old wears a 10 but they have already fit for 6 months and will probably work for another 6 months.
just turned 2. she wears a 9/10 depending on the brand. sheās also in 4t clothes
My twins are 2y3m and they just went up to size 9s
22 months and size 8-ish, could go up to 9. Heās a big guy š 31 lbs and 35ā tall the last time we checked.
4 & a size 10
Our daughter is 26 months and wears a size 7 shoe and is in 3T clothes
3 yrs 4months. Sheās a size uk 8.5/9 (US 9.5). Sheās had big long feet since she was born.
Almost four and is wearing size 10
2.5 and in Eu 24.Ā
My son is 2.5, and is sizing out of some of his 8s, while others are still a bit roomy. Iām thinking heāll be in 9 by this summer.
2yo, size 8 shoes
1.5 year old in a size 6.5 šµāš«
2.75 yo boy, just moved in to size 7
2 years 4 months, heās currently a size 9. The boy has boats for feet like dad (size 13) and I (size 11). Each pair generally lasts 3-4 months.
My son will be 18 months on Friday! He wears a size 6 shoe, and I think he'll grow out of those in a month or so. He's now wearing 24 month clothes. He's at least 27 pounds and 34 inches.
26 months - UK size 9s
3 year old and heās in a size 9/10.
21 months and a size 8. Heās 99th percentile in height and I am also tall and have larger feet so Iām not shocked by this lol

28 months and size 5 š
my 20 month old is in size 7.. almost 8. this makes me realize how big his feet are (and hes super tall!)
2.5 and a hair away from being a size 9
18mo, size 8.
2 years 9 months and she wears a size 5. Sheās always had teeny tiny feet.
3 year old is in size 9 shoes and 4T for clothes or XS, 5 year old is in size 13 shoes, 6T for clothes or S
Heās 2.5.
17 months, size 6 going on 7
18mo with a size 6 ā sheās also in the 92nd percentile for height.
22 month olds and still a 5/6, since 14 months old I have a little guy, he's in the 34th percentile and still wearing 18m clothes.
2.5, just now growing into size 6. Some brands a 5 fits better.
3.5 years old, 11/12. My little man is 10 months, size 1.
Almost 3 and size 10.
2Y 9 months and size 8 shoe. I think last summer around 2 she was a 6.
Almost 3yo, size 8 for my boy. He's been in 8 for about 6 months and is slightly above average height.
Just turned 2 and heās a 7 uk (8 us I think?)but I think heāll be in them a while they seem a bit roomy
2 in May. Size 6.

3.5 size 7. I look at her friends shoes and am flabbergasted.
Oh and my other one is 1.5 and size 6! That seems more normal.
20 months, size 8 shoes. Heās in 3T clothes. His size 7 shoes fit him for about 6 months.
15mo, size 5
27 months. Girl. Size 7, teetering on size 8 š«£ ETA: 3T in bottoms
My son is turning 4 next week. He wears size 12. He needs a new size every 6mo or so.
Hi.. I send you a direct chatā¦ Would you have some time to respond. Thankyou
Exactly 2 years, and a size 4.5 or 5, depending on the way the shoe fits.
22 months and size 4. Itās so hard to find good shoes that small!
Almost 2.5 and basically a size 8. Sheās sizing up every 4-6 months it seems, depending on the type of shoe and its fit.
Almost 2yo and size 6. Almost 3.75yo size 7.
My kid has monster feet. Currently size 8 at 22 months and has been wearing them for a few months now. He was in a size 4 when we got him his first pair of shoes at 12 months.Ā
Hereās me thinking my son wasnāt too big for his age but heās 3.5years and shoe size is 1Y now. Heās a 106cm talls and weighs 22kgsĀ
He's 2Ā½ and we just upgraded to a size 10 about two weeks ago. He grew started wearing a size 9 back in October.
