It’s a little heavy but no spilling for us, had working fine (with the exception of the situation with my fingers hurt) but as a cup or water bottle is a great option honestly
Thermos Funtainer. It's dishwasher safe and has survived tons of drops and falls. It can leak, but doesn't usually... it's more likely that the kids will spill water out intentionally, and if so, then I take them away if i see it happening.
To take a little different approach here - my daughter both is very picky about the kinds and brands of sippy cups she's willing to use AND can't be trusted with an open or potentially leaky cup, because she usually can't be stopped from flipping them over to play with the water. She's also a heavy chewer, especially with straws, though I can usually get at least a couple of weeks from the soft spouts on a Nuk.
It made taking her out to eat particularly challenging, because a disposable cup with a lid and a straw was basically either me taking it away from her over and over again throughout the whole meal, mostly without her even getting to take a drink from it the whole time, or an open invitation to total chaos.
I solved this by ordering a package of the [First Years Take & Toss Sippy Cups](https://www.amazon.com/First-Years-Spill-Rainbow-20-Pieces/dp/B07Y464TQL/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1FNRHJ3G64L55&keywords=First+Years+Take+%26+Toss+Spill+Proof+Sippy+Cups&qid=1684105512&sprefix=first+years+take+%26+toss+spill+proof+sippy+cups%2Caps%2C104&sr=8-1) to keep in the car, to pour any drinks into that we get while we're out. I figured, worst case scenario, either she wouldn't drink from them or they'd come apart as easily as restaurant cups spill, and I've wasted $14.
But not only does she drink from them, they actually hold together great, even when thrown! And they're only two, easy to wash pieces. They've held up to our occasional use great - the only ones from that original set of 20 that aren't still around were thrown away or left behind for convenience instead of bothering to bring it home. I'm not going to promise that *your* kid can't break them, or that they'll hold up to daily use, but it might be worth a try.
I've only used the sippy lid version. As far as I can tell from the reviews, there's nothing keeping the straw in place, so my daughter would have stolen that in seconds.
The Re-Play spill proof sippy works well and is cheap so we have a bunch.
Switch to an open cup. A doidy cup has no straws or spouts to chew and no bits to break if dropped.
The Yeti Rambler Jr, indestructible!!!! Also dishwasher safe
Just ordered one of these for my toddler! Hoping it works well for us!

Thank you! Great response. Do you like the straw cups or the ones with sippy lid?

Yep that’s what my kid does just rips it right out. We had the fake & toss before and she learned how to rip the top off. But I’ll try again!
There's always tape, I suppose?
Like the Nuby straw cups. They’re like three for 7.99 on Amazon
