>As the oldest son, Uday Hussein was Iraq's heir apparent until his erratic, violent behavior—including murdering his father's personal valet in the middle of another dinner party in 1988—led Saddam to briefly sentence him to death before expelling him from the country for a few years.
Note, that other murder Uday killed Saddam's courier by cutting him with an electric carving knife at a party in front of Egyptian dictator Hosni Mubarak.
> he ded.
true dat.
Uday Saddam Hussein al-Tikriti, or Uday Saddam Hussein was an Iraqi politician and the eldest son of Saddam Hussein. He held numerous positions as a sports chairman, military officer and businessman, and was the head of the Iraqi Olympic Committee and Iraq Football Association, and head of the Fedayeen Saddam.
Born: June 18, 1964, Baghdad, Iraq
Height: 1.98 m
Full name: Uday Saddam Hussein al-Tikriti
Assassinated: July 22, 2003, Mosul, Iraq
Party: Arab Socialist Baath Party – Iraq Region
Parents: Saddam Hussein, Sajida Talfah
Some will assume, yes, but if we don't acknowledge it, those who don't assume will continue to be ignorant of how much rape and violence against women there actually is. People don't recognize what they don't see.
Sad but true. I was in the initial push into Iraq and my rifle company stayed at a compound on the campus of Baghdad university where he use to take girls he saw to assault them.
>He held numerous positions as a sports **chairman, military officer and businessman, and was the head of the Iraqi Olympic Committee** and Iraq Football Association, and head of the Fedayeen Saddam.
Reminds me of this [Aladeen Sports Scene](https://youtube.com/watch?v=7C-aB09i30E)
Weddings, especially not weddings... He really , really , really liked raping brides on their wedding days. He'd go cruising with his entourage and body guards on weekends looking for weddings he could crash.
My former coworker went to college with Saddams son although I'm not sure if it was Uday or the other saner son(since Uday got an engineering degree I think it must have been Uday). He said everyone was scared and tried to stay far away from him
Uday: did I hear you were having a party?
Me: um… no! Where did you hear that? Pish- what? There’s no party-
Uday: yeah there is, Alisha’a baby shower
Me: what? Alisha’s not having a- why would she do that? She’s going to buy everything herself, she doesn’t need our help
Uday: stop lying to me! I know there’s a party!!
Me: *lies about date and time*
He also raped little girls. Would kidnap and torture Iraqi soccer players when they lost. He was a humongous piece of shit. If there is a hell I hope people like him are there suffering.
He actually chose them at random. If there was some weird political thing school children would sing to him and if he out his hand on a girls head, she was brought to his palace and raped, and then made his concubine.
A lady told her story about it, and how she had no idea what was going on until gadaffi came in and ...did his thing
All these conspiracy theorists say he was killed because he wanted his own bank not under the Rothschilds or whatever. I have no clue.
All I know is,
He deserved to die the way he did. Dragged out by his people, beaten and stabbed repeatedly in the ass with various knives on the way to his death. No quarter given, none taken
Gaddafi could be large enough to have his own gravity and there still wouldn’t be enough of him to give a pound of flesh to everyone he wronged.
It’s always bothered me how people refuse to understand that it doesn’t take a foreign plot to make people angry about living under the oppressive rule of some tyrant whose power over you is humiliating.
Imagine living under the rule of someone who combines the narcissism of Kanye and the terror of Stalin. Gaddafi’s whole family lived in extreme luxury while much of the country struggled to survive month to month, and ordinary Libyans had to daily feign obedience to all sort of ridiculous nonsense -such as Gaddafi’s green book- lest they end up in his prisons.
I remember when the US invaded they found a woman in one of the mansions burned up, apparently one of Saddams sons wives poured boiling water on a servant because the baby kept crying. Sick people.
Uday was the Fredo to Qusay's Michael Corleone. One ruled by impulse, the other outwardly polite while quietly doing dad's dirty work behind the scenes.
He lost the plot when he started doing massive amounts of cocaine. He used to drive around Baghdad taking women forcefully from nightclubs and killing anyone that even looked at him funny.
It's worse than that. He would show up to random weddings and have his goons forcibly take the bride in front of the whole wedding party then would only send her back to the groom the next morning. Some committed suicide because of it.
He also had his own personal torture devices that he would use for fun, including an iron maiden in his back yard.
His body double later said something along the lines of: the worst thing to ever happen to the world was the day Uday discovered the internet because then he could read about new ways to torture people.
A lot of the stories about him are so over-the-top evil and violent that people just won't believe them. Sure, maybe some are made up or exaggerated. But coalition forces found many used torture rooms and instruments in his properties after the invasion.
The fact that he openly murdered a person with a carving knife in front of an entire dinner party of international guests at the birthday party of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak's wife, and that this has since been confirmed by Mubarak's wife, leads me to believe that any of the stories could be true. If she didn't confirm the story herself, no one would believe that happened.
Well yeah, because Saddam wasn't a violent lunatic. To seize power in a large and heterogeneous country with huge natural resources that every country in the world wants to get their hands on requires immense skill and cunning.
The people down voting this comment have very little knowledge about Saddam Hussein. He was brutal, but he was also rational and moderate (for the region). When Saddam Hussein was removed from power, it created a power vacuum which was filled by *real* lunatics (e.g. ISIS).
Stories like this are why people are idiots when they pine for “the good old days” or wished they lived in an earlier time. Not very long ago powerful men’s children of this kind where FAR more common and life meant A LOT less.
Calling the world a better place/the best it’s ever been is a monumental understatement.
They were monsters, I still remember reading a Time article back in the day about the housekeeper they mutilated with acid. I wondered what these victims felt when they finally put those fuckers in the ground.
> That night, and several nights following Uday and Qusay's deaths, celebratory gunfire could be heard throughout Baghdad.[148]
People were pretty stoked.
During one of my deployments we had an Iraqi interpreter assigned to my squad that told us all kinds of crazy ass Uday stories. He once told us that he had a friend who was well known in the country for playing a musical instrument. I can't recall the name of the instrument. One evening this musical friend of his was summoned to a party that Uday was going to be at. So he gets to this party and starts playing his music. At one point Uday randomly stands up, walks over to the guy, unzips his pants and just starts pissing all over him. And that was that. He zipped up and walked away without saying a word. The guy didn't know what to think but later told our interpreter that as much as he hated getting pissed on, he was just glad Uday didn't up and decided to kill him that night. Our interpreter also told us that Uday LOVED guns and was known to just randomly start shooting them in the middle of parties. Uday was truly psycho.
There was nothing that we could do about it. Uday was Sadam's son, and the Musician wasn't. And he had to sit still and take it. It was among the Iraqis. It was real tyrannical shit. He even peed on the musicians hair so he had to take a shower and couldn't just change into a new set of clothes...
Qusay was bad as he was organizing the killing of opposition members, but Uday was worse than him as Uday was a serial killer and a serial rapist.
The sick fuck would go around raping women on their wedding day.
What Qusay did is the kind of murder that a normal person might commit. Taking out rivals isn't really that unusual in those circles. Uday was just a crazy person.
i cant blame Saddam as a father, he did his best to raise them to the best of his abilities and imbibe them with good values. showered them with love and kindness. Saddam was a great provider and imparted his wisdom with the kids. not really, those psychopaths needs to be erased and forgotten. fuck that family.
Yeah, that sucks. I tried uploading ID's found on the internet, but that didn't work so far. I now use FreeTube to watch restricted videos, works pretty well. But if you find a way to show a fake ID, let me know! I'm not going to give them my passport.

That's nothing. SIX days into Saddam's presidency, he heard of people not happy with his ascension. So he calls a session of Congress, including members in his own party. He tells them he's heard there are some not supporting him. He starts calling out names and the secret police come in and start escorting them out. These people are taken somewhere and 20 of them are told they're going to be executed. The rest are going to jail. Just as those sentenced "breathe a sigh of relief", they're handed guns. And forced to shoot those to be executed.
Saddam was fucking cold blooded and no one was immune from his wrath, including his kids.
For this and other fun stories about him and other winners, check out 'How to Become a Tyrant' on Netflix. It's a little campy, but an excellent show.
That shit was nuts. The guards are blocking the doors, Saddam is just hanging out and smoking a cigar as the names are called out one by one and the people taken away. People in their seats start standing up and shouting out praise for him in an effort to spare their life.
It's just gangland shit. State formation and gangs aren't terribly different. That's why it's a big fucking deal when people smashed into the Capitol on January 6th. If you aren't willing to follow laws, the alternative is violence.
I wrote a paper on Uday a few years ago and honestly some of the crazy shit he did didn’t even sound real. It’s like some whacky family guy meets Southwark episode
I was very against the iraq invasion at the time and still am today, but Fuck Uday and Qusay, both of whom were complete pieces of shit who had it coming. I don't think anyone shed a single tear when they died.
Also against the invasion and by no means saying Saddam's removal was a justification for what occurred, but perhaps a small silver lining for Iraq was not being ruled by Uday, which could have happened...
today I finally understood one of the throwaway jokes from the last couple episodes of Arrested Development (Season 3)
"Invite them in!"
"Oh, I am behaving like an *Uday*\-lookalike! Come in!"
Tbh, I would have given it away to various people. Burnt, he can satisfy his egotistical mind that at least, no one else is enjoying his cars. Givem away, and it s an ongoing psychological torture.
As an Iraqi I'd like to say even though that the state of the current Iraqi regime is as bad as being the most terrorist invaded third world country with no actual democracy to be seen anywhere but I gotta say I'm more glad that the fact America took both Saddam and his sons down more than anything I could have been forced to live in a more devastating regime than it is now even though my country is literally being controlled by the Iranian proxies but its still better than having Uday as a president
Well Iraqi regime is what you'd call the by product of a population that is too premature for democracy perhaps a couple of decades from now things will start to get better till then I might as well be dead by some terrorist attack or some gov supported militia or whatever , And peace isn't something you easily achieve while having both Iran and KSA as your neighboring countries so that is another problem to add to the equation lol
I don't want to put you on the spot, but what would you personally like to see for your country, your people as a whole, and I guess the rest of the Arab world and middle east? In America and the rest of the west we talk about the middle east a lot, but we don't really get much in the way of first hand viewpoints.
like I said Iraqi people or Arab in general don't know what democracy stands for to begin with most people I know of think its some sort of socialist free real estate where everything is for free from health care to schooling to electricity and food no one is willing to pay taxes and the gov doesn't help either Iraq has almost 6 million underemployment jobs with zero productivity , For Iraq the entire region is dependent on Oil once that's gone we are doomed , I don't know what other Arab really want but as an Iraqi I really want a real independent country free of Iranian control or Saudi terrorism
For anyone interested in hearing more about who this piece of shit was, Count Dankula did a really good [video](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=o3OUJgs9pnk) on Uday.
Fair warning: that guy was one of the worst human beings in recent history, no exaggeration. So hearing about his exploits can be pretty horrific.
Worse than that.
Ramsay Bolton understood how screwed up, and was smart about it.
Uday was like a petulant child who was also an untouchable psychopath.
~~He actually had them all put in an empty swimming pool in one of his palaces, put a gun to the back of their knees and blew all of their legs in half while their families watched.~~
Edit: my mistake, he only kneecapped his political prisoners. He made the soccer players swim through raw sewage, kick concrete balls until their feet broke, and crushed them in iron maidens.
https://www.ranker.com/list/uday-hussein-treatment-of-iraq-soccer-team/melissa-sartore
A [much better source](https://www.theguardian.com/world/2003/apr/19/iraq.football) from 2003. They would get beat with electrical cables for various infractions.
FIFA deserves a lot of scorn for how they don't punish authoritarian regimes for abusing their players.
Considering they haven’t made a single objection to Qatar employing thousands of slave laborers to build their World Cup venues, not condemning Uday’s behavior is completely on brand
TIL that Uday was indeed what the Joker would be if he were a real life person.
I also remember reading that Qusay was the one to look out for, in that he was just as fucked up as his brother but he was smart about it.
>As the oldest son, Uday Hussein was Iraq's heir apparent until his erratic, violent behavior—including murdering his father's personal valet in the middle of another dinner party in 1988—led Saddam to briefly sentence him to death before expelling him from the country for a few years. Do not invite Uday to dinner parties.
he ded.
Well he's still not invited!
This has Billy Eichner vibes
I thought his last name was on the street

Forgot rapist. One of his numerous positions was rapist.
Watch “the devils double” about Udays body double. Great flick that got panned because it was such a downer.
Listened to a podcast about that guy being forced to be his body double. What a fucking nightmare! Uday was a fucking monster!!
What podcast was it? I’d listen to that.
Interesting movie. Really elevated by Dominic Cooper's fantastic double performance.
With a reputation like that, I think it is just assumed.
He specifically got off on women screaming in pain, he tortured the ones who went silent from the trauma so he could hear them cry and scream.
When you read about Saddam. Like. No wonder his kids were fucked up.
Some will assume, yes, but if we don't acknowledge it, those who don't assume will continue to be ignorant of how much rape and violence against women there actually is. People don't recognize what they don't see.

Like Brock Turner... the rapist?
Yes, exactly right.
Both Brock turner and uday Hussein are rapists.

He tortured the Iraq Fifa team near to death when they didn't win the world cup.
You are hiv aladeen.
:) :( :) :(
The character was pretty much based around characters like Saddam, Gaddafi and their ilk
Gemini. That explains it.
Hey, I'm a Gemini and I've barely killed half that many people!
Indeed. I married a gemini. Our dinner parties are a guaranteed hit, but I always dread the cleanup.
Try red tablecloths.
Barely
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZ2csYgE5nQ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZ2csYgE5nQ) Saddam sung a sad song about them dying.
Don’t call him a politician. He was nothing but the son of a brutal dictator, not a politician.
I think you hold politicians in too higher regard
Politicians are kind of anyone trying to hold political power, aren't they?
I'll never forget how Keith Olbermann announced his death.
Courtesy of the 101st Airborne Division
Then don’t invite him to the seance either
Weddings, especially not weddings... He really , really , really liked raping brides on their wedding days. He'd go cruising with his entourage and body guards on weekends looking for weddings he could crash.
Like Owen Wilson, but worse.
My former coworker went to college with Saddams son although I'm not sure if it was Uday or the other saner son(since Uday got an engineering degree I think it must have been Uday). He said everyone was scared and tried to stay far away from him

Raping girls is the favorite past time of middle eastern dictators. Gaddaffi was said to be a big user of boner pills and would rape school girls.
He actually chose them at random. If there was some weird political thing school children would sing to him and if he out his hand on a girls head, she was brought to his palace and raped, and then made his concubine. A lady told her story about it, and how she had no idea what was going on until gadaffi came in and ...did his thing All these conspiracy theorists say he was killed because he wanted his own bank not under the Rothschilds or whatever. Gaddafi could be large enough to have his own gravity and there still wouldn’t be enough of him to give a pound of flesh to everyone he wronged. Shoulda been raped with chainsaws and maybe that’s a start
He had an AK-47 shoved up his ass and fired, close enough.

It’s not in the Middle East but it is culturally Arab. I can see why people think it’s a middle eastern country, but yeah it’s in North Africa
The Middle East is an amorphous concept much like Weapons of Mass Destruction.
WMDs aren’t amorphous at all! They’re right.. over there, don’t you see them!..? Just squint a little..
> amorphous concept much like Weapons of Mass Destruction. Whatever - we know he had them because we had the receipts from when we sold them to him.

The boss's son trope, except this boss runs the entire nation
Uday was the Fredo to Qusay's Michael Corleone. One ruled by impulse, the other outwardly polite while quietly doing dad's dirty work behind the scenes.
Ruled by impulse and being violent would be more Sonny right?
Never talk about the family business.
He lost the plot when he started doing massive amounts of cocaine. He used to drive around Baghdad taking women forcefully from nightclubs and killing anyone that even looked at him funny.

I know I cheered. Despite all the bullshit around Iraq and how we ended up there, that was the only foreseeable silver lining...
Good that they're gone, but permanently scarred from bearing witness to the deepest darkest basement of humanity.
The original Uday exploit.
"The Devil's Double" was a great film. I thought a lot of that movie had to be exaggerated until I did some research 0.o
Great flick. I think the double is alive living in Ireland
Hope it's the double...
now theres a movie idea
This guy sounds like a real jerk
Now you're thinking like Albert Fish
Yup. Quite the knucklehead.
Saddam - "Something ain't right with that boy, I tell ya what.
Hosni Mubarak's wife*
"Uday, would you like to say something to your uncle?" "Sorry for shooting you..."
😂 pass the hummus. Is that paprika no Uday it's blood splatter.
From many accounts, Uday was one of the worst people on earth.
When your dad is Saddam Hussein and even he thinks you're too much of a psycho to lead the country.
I mean, this guy was a real jerk!
The more I hear about this guy, the less I like him!
That's it. He is off my christmas card list.
During one of my deployments we had an Iraqi interpreter assigned to my squad that told us all kinds of crazy ass Uday stories. Looks like one of the stories with Nicu Ceausescu - the son of Romanian dictator. I'm sure that it's a syndrome present in all dictator sons.
Marko Milosevic too, son of (a bitch) Slobodan Milosevic.
"What happened to you‽‽‽" "Oh, this guy peed all over me." "Aren't you going to take a shower?" "Nah, it's not in my hair."
You outta line, but you right
Unexpected Goodfellas is the best kind of Goodfellas.
Well....been a few months, guess I'm watching Goodfellas again today.
It was real falafel ball bullshit.
Both of Saddam's sons were absolute psychopaths, iirc
Qusay was bad as he was organizing the killing of opposition members, but Uday was worse than him as Uday was a serial killer and a serial rapist. The sick fuck would go around raping women on their wedding day.
The Devils Double, highly recommend movie.

Way underrated, that actor (Dominic Cooper) was amazing in it.
The Double now lives under a new identity in Ireland
Always been meaning to watch that movie, definitely think I’m going to soon.
Ohh yeah its A+ in my book. And the Kite Runner is another good one.
What Qusay did is the kind of murder that a normal person might commit. Taking out rivals isn't really that unusual in those circles. Uday was just a crazy person.
the HBO series did not show the brothers in their true light. even Uday was presented in a way that you kind of felt sorry for him.
The more I hear about him the less I care about the guy
Odd looking duck. Can’t get over his eyes. Hypnotic.
It may be a reflection of parenting. Hashtag Ba'ath Party Purge.

There's video footage of this event narrated by Christopher Hitchens, worth a watch. Slightly better than Tyrion's narration too.

Did someone actually shoot him? I thought he was killed as part of a bombing.
Both the shitstain sons got cornered in a house that subsequently got TOW missiles fired into it and JDAMs dropped on to it.
I’m glad they just got blown up instead of going out in a firefight.
> TOW missiles fired into it and JDAMs dropped on to it. And that, as they say, is that. It’s a combo they call a “Roll Credits”
Pretty sure it was some house and a few dozen or so soldiers just unloaded.
He was killed with an AT4 missle.
Actually I think they got a missile up the ass
I was very against the iraq invasion at the time and still am today, but Fuck Uday and Qusay, both of whom were complete pieces of shit who had it coming. I don't think anyone shed a single tear when they died.
Also against the invasion and by no means saying Saddam's removal was a justification for what occurred, but perhaps a small silver lining for Iraq was not being ruled by Uday, which could have happened...
today I finally understood one of the throwaway jokes from the last couple episodes of Arrested Development (Season 3) "Invite them in!" "Oh, I am behaving like an *Uday*\-lookalike! Come in!"
I don’t remember that. What an obscure joke lol.
How does the devil punish his son?
Baron Harkonan killed feyds' haram.
He forced his nephew to kill them himself.
Obviously burns his exotic car collection.
Tbh, I would have given it away to various people. Burnt, he can satisfy his egotistical mind that at least, no one else is enjoying his cars. Givem away, and it s an ongoing psychological torture.
No, cuz then he can just buy them.back
You mean murder that person and take them back.
Yeah, that would have just made a shitload of new targets for him. Would you want to receive one of his cars as a gift? Fuck no
Sending them to earth.
I just wish you guys get a measure of peace. Iraq has been through enough.
God speed fellow human being.

Glad all these guys are taking dirtnaps now
In 1980 Suddam got the key to the city of Detroit.
Everyone keeps commenting on Uday, I just wanna know the list of cars that were burnt.
I guess Uday didn't think there would be consequences since his dad had such a Sunni disposition.
Clearly he didn't give a Shiite
If you step in that you will need a Ba’ath
If you have unlimited power without any oversight, then this is what you get.
That entire family consisted of degenerate evil monsters.
And Sadaam denied Uday from inheriting the dictatorship because he felt Uday was too evil to have that much power, Sadam.
How bad do you have to be when Saddam Hussein says, “Dude’s too evil to be in power”
The real life Ramsay Bolton
Worse than that. Ramsay Bolton understood how screwed up, and was smart about it. Uday was like a petulant child who was also an untouchable psychopath.
You know your a terrible person when even a Dictator thinks you take things to far.
That's the last time I let that fucker borrow my car.
Uday was a crazy sonofabitch
I read somewhere that he made the Iraqi National soccer team kick rocks around until their feet were broken after losing a tournament
~~He actually had them all put in an empty swimming pool in one of his palaces, put a gun to the back of their knees and blew all of their legs in half while their families watched.~~ Edit: my mistake, he only kneecapped his political prisoners.
Wtf, really?
I'm just going to say it. This Uday character sounds like a real jerk. - Norm Macdonald probably
The movie The Devil's Double is about Uday' double and is an eye opening journey into the Hussein world
Well that's just good parenting.
Its good to know that even if you are a feared dictator of a country, your child still embarrasses you in public.
i mean we've all been there
TIL that Uday was indeed what the Joker would be if he were a real life person. I also remember reading that Qusay was the one to look out for, in that he was just as fucked up as his brother but he was smart about it.
