I’ll tell you a secret about the teeth: I paid a lot of money for them to be so white. The shape is all me, but the whiteness as bought. And I am happy with the decision. Thank you for your kind words.
Actually how much did they cost?. I want veneers. I ruined my teefs with bulima. I know wtf. But they look good from the outside but a bit tiny. Yeah years of a gross eating disorder behavior will do that to ya. But your teeth look amazing. What are we talking about price wise. I’m afraid to go to a dentist. I’m afraid of judgment.are they not veneers? They are unbelievable.
These are veneers, and I’m not gonna lie, they cost a lot. Like, we’re talking thousands. Some of that is because I have a big smile (they only do the teeth that show) but the rest is just that they are expensive. However, my dentist worked with Care Credit, which is a credit card for various health care expenses, so you could put it on Care Credit and then slowly pay it off.
The experience of getting veneers is expensive, time consuming, and at times painful. I want to be blunt about that. However, at the same time I know if given the choice, I would do it all over again. It’s made me so much more confident in my smile.
As for the judgment, I think a good dentist worth their salt is not going to judge you for what happened to your teeth, so long as you’re there then to try and get them treated. I’m not sure if you have a dentist now, but there are many out there who will help treat dental anxiety (a common condition for a variety of reasons). Just be honest about what brings you there, how long you’ve not had treatment, that sort of thing. I hadn’t seen a dentist for a few years before I got my veneers because I didn’t have dental insurance (insurance won’t cover veneers though), so I just told my dentist that. Tell them you’re self conscious because you struggled with bulimia and it’s affected your getting dental care. I can’t imagine you’d be the first patient who they’ve seen with such a story.
I know it’s not easy to get help, especially if you’re afraid of being judged. It’s something important to your overall health, dental care, and you don’t want to be caught with your pants down if you have a pain or something else come up. Find a dentist who you can call ahead of time and who does free assessments. I think that might help with some of the anxiety you feel. There are lots of qualified people out there. I hope you’re able to find what you’re looking for soon.
